Armstrong then switches to the left and lands a number of shots to the helmet and the side of Baumgartner's head while he tries to move away from the punches. Baumgartner switches to the left as well and throws two of his own. The two then grapple for a short moment just before Armstrong throws three rights that hit their target. Baumgartner responds with a left and the linesmen move in shortly after. Other Penalties: Baumgartner received an instigator and misconduct.

Janik throws a right, but Eager responds with three more while Janik presses him against the glass. Janik throws a short right and Eager misses with a right before connecting with an uppercut that sends Janik to the ice. Eager throws a right while Janik is falling and then skates away once he sees that his opponent is down. Other Penalties: Eager received an instigator and misconduct.

The two shed the gloves and helmets, squaring off at center ice. They grab ahold of each other and Asham throws a right to start things off. They go up against the boards and Richards throws a flurry of six quick rights with Asham coming back with a right of his own. Richards throws his elbow pad down to the ice and they go back and forth with overhand rights. They end up against the glass once again and Richards switches hands, throwing two lefts. Asham connects with three overhand rights to the back and top of Richards' head and Richards goes down to a knee. Richards returns to his feet and throws a right just before Asham connects with three more overhand rights at a bent over Richards. The linesmen then quickly grab the two and end the scrap.

A scrum develops near the side boards and Eager and Witt end up together. Witt gives Eager a facewash and Eager drops his gloves, missing with a right. Eager shoves Witt, trying to get him to drop his gloves, but it takes a right hand in order for Witt to do so. They wrestle around for a long while until Eager throws a short right that hits Witt's helmet. Witt responds with an uppercut and a right and Eager throws two rights and two uppercuts while trying to shake off his elbow pad. Witt then wrestles him to the ice and gets in a right, but the linesmen are right there to grab the two. Other Penalties: Mike Richards and Andy Hilbert each received a roughing.

Grant and Brian Campbell collide along the side boards, sending each other falling to the ice. Grant gets back up to his feet, spots Peters, and the two drop the gloves. They square off for a short while and grab onto each other, each waiting for an opportunity to strike. Peters opens up and throws three quick rights, causing Grant to return fire with a pair of lefts. Peters throws two more rights and Grant throws five lefts just before landing an uppercut inside. They exchange lefts and Grant gets in a right just as the two are falling to the ice. The linesmen jump on top of the two and end the scrap.

Antero Niittymaki makes the save on a diving Drew Stafford shot and behind the play, Richards has challenged Paetsch and the two have dropped the gloves. They grab ahold of each other and Richards throws four overhand rights to the back of Paetsch's head with Paetsch returning fire in the form of a right as well. Richards connects with an uppercut followed by three more rights and Paetsch throws a short right before he falls to the ice. Richards gets in another right while he is down, but the linesmen are there to quickly grab the two.

They struggle to get loose for a bit and Eager finally gets free, throwing two rights while Bell tries to move away from the punches. Bell is able to remove Eager's helmet and Eager throws an uppercut and a right. Eager drags Bell farther down ice and misses with a right, allowing Bell to take advantage and throw a left. Eager gets Bell turned around and throws three overhand rights to the back of Bell's head. Bell then suddenly lets go, sending Eager crashing into the boards. The linesmen step in and the two are sent to their respective penalty boxes.

The two wrestle around while Picard remains face down on the ice. Bell eventually throws an uppercut and they are stuck in a very awkward position before Kane turns around and pushes Bell to the ice. The linesmen come in and separate them. Other Penalties: Kane received an instigator and misconduct; Bell a boarding.

Eager nails Thorburn along the boards, knocking him to the ice. Thorburn gets back up and shoves Eager while one of the linesmen tries to separate them. They both drop their gloves and Eager quickly throws a left that hits the side of Thorburn's head. Both of the linesmen jump in to try and stop the fight, but Eager continues to throw some short lefts. Thorburn returns fire with a right and the linesmen are still relentless in trying to stop the fight. Eager throws an uppercut and a left and the linesmen are finally able to break things up. Hale throws a locked-out right and Eager returns fire with five unanswered rights of his own while Hale tries to tie him up. Eager gets Hale turned around and throws four rights to the back of his head. Hale is able to get himself turned around and gets Eager bent over. Hale throws an uppercut, but Eager quickly locks him out and prevents him from doing anything else. They stop throwing and the linesmen begin to move in, but Eager starts things up again by throwing a right. Hale responds with a short right and Eager tries to take his helmet off, but the linesmen move in once again and are able to break things up things time around.

Right after the puck drops for the faceoff, they shed their gloves and helmets. Richards glides towards Mara and they end up squaring off at the blueline before grabbing ahold of each other. Mara starts things off with three straight rights. Richards returns fire with a right of his own just as they go into the side boards. Mara continues to go with the right, throwing two more and causing Richards to come back with a pair of overhand rights in response. Mara then switches strategies, connecting with three body shots. Richards is able to push Mara off-balance for a moment and they wrestle around for a short moment. Richards gets loose and connects with a right, following that up with a flurry of short overhand rights while Mara is bent over. Mara pushes Richards up against the glass and gets in a right. Mara throws some more rights with Richards responding with two of his own during the series. They eventually stop throwing and allow the linesmen to intervene and end the fight.

Campbell comes back with two overhand rights and Umberger is quick to answer with a left jab followed by a left hook that Campbell is able to duck under. Campbell tries to push Umberger off-balance, but Umberger goes down to his knees for just a moment. Umberger gets back up to his feet and throws another right. Umberger nearly loses his balance, but is able to stay on his feet. Campbell switches hands and throws a left cross. Umberger returns fire with two uppercuts and then pulls Campbells jersey up and over his head while he is bent over. The linesmen decide to intervene and then grab them, quickly ending the fight. Other Penalties: Umberger received an instigator and misconduct.

Peters is able to throw a straight right and Fedoruk responds with a left. Peters is able to get Fedoruk's helmet partially off and then lands five straight rights to the side of his head. Peters tries to throw Fedoruk to the ice, but Fedoruk is able to stay on his feet and throws a right followed by a left hook that misses. They then decide to just hold on until the linesmen are ready to come in and end the fight.

Gleason continues to go with jersey-jabs mixed in with a right and Fedoruk throws a left during the exchange. Fedoruk throws a right hook and Gleason answers with two more rights that knock Fedoruk's helmet off. Gleason then throws a flurry of five unanswered rights with two of them connecting while Fedoruk tries to move away from the shots. Gleason is then able to wrestle Fedoruk down to the ice and the linesmen are right there to intervene. Other Penalties: Fedoruk received a hooking.

Simon lands two more lefts after that and continues to throw while Fedoruk switches hands and answers with two rights that miss during the flurry. They get in-tight and wrestle around for a bit until Fedoruk gets loose and throws a left. Simon responds with a couple of lefts that Fedoruk is able to move away from. Fedoruk then throws three overhand rights to the back of Simon's helmet followed by two more rights that connect. Simon throws three lefts towards a ducking Fedoruk and Fedoruk comes back with a left cross. They exchange a couple of more lefts until Simon gets Fedoruk bent over and throws two uppercuts followed by a left that connects. They then spin around and Fedoruk pulls Simon closer to him before wrestling him to the ice. The linesmen quickly come in and break things up shortly after. Fedoruk skates back to the dressing room with a cut around his right eye.

Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and square off in front of the Islanders' net. They grab ahold of each other with Asham sneaking in a right just as they are locking horns. Reid misses with an overhand right. Reid throws a body shot and then misses with a right cross, allowing Asham to land two rights that knock Reid's helmet off. Reid throws two overhand rights, but once they miss their target. Asham shakes off his elbow pad and then has his jersey ripped off by Reid. Asham then connects with two rights that put Reid down to a knee and follows that up with two more rights to the back and side of his head just before the linesmen move in to break things up and end the fight.

Fedoruk grabs Semenov from behind and everything gradually calms down. Semenov turns around and they shove each other before having some words and then deciding to drop the gloves. They grab ahold of each other and wrestle around up against the glass. Semenov throws two short rights to the back of Fedoruk's helmet. Fedoruk cocks his right arm back and then throws a right to the back of Semenov. Semenov answers with a short right inside and Fedoruk then pushes Semenov to the ice with the linesmen coming in to separate them shortly after. Other Penalties: Semenov and Darren Reid each received a roughing.

Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and immediately grab ahold of each other near the side boards with Orr throwing a right while they are locking horns. They exchange simulataneous rights and Orr gets in an overhand right after that. They wrestle around for a short while until Orr gets loose and throws two more rights. Orr then winds up and connects with a straight right that puts Fedoruk to sleep right away. Fedoruk falls motionless to the ice and Orr is quickly escorted to the penalty box. One of the linesman waves for doctors to come out onto the ice. Fedoruk stays down on the ice for a good five minutes and is eventually lifted onto a stretcher with a neck brace and taken to the back.

Eager is able to tie Orr up for a moment, but Orr quickly gets free and throws a right that comes up short just before he goes down to his knees. Orr gets back up and Eager gets off three consecutive rights. Eager gets Orr turned around and Orr falls to the ice. Eager gets in a right while they are falling, but the linesmen are right there to grab them and prevent anything else from happening. Eager gets back up to his feet and exchanges words with the Rangers' bench and Orr as well while skating to the penalty box. Eager also has a bloody lip and mouth.

They then throw simultaneous punches: a right from Janssen connects flush, causing Cote's left to veer off to the side. Janssen throws an overhand right and they start going toe-to-toe with punches: Janssen staying with the right and Cote choosing the left. Cote switches hands and throws a right. Janssen throws two more rights just before Cote goes back to the left and they start going toe-to-toe once again. They stop throwing for a moment and Cote throws a right. Cote switches hands for the second time and they go toe-to-toe for the third time. Janssen throws a left that comes up short and they grapple for a moment. Janssen gets his right free and throws three rights with the last one connecting on a bent over Cote who is struggling to get his arm out of his jersey. The linesmen then quickly grab them and break things up.
