Gauthier did nothing wrong here...he threw an amazing hipcheck and then took his licks for throwing a perfectly "LEGAL" hit... Barch did his job, gauthier did his...As least dennis dropped the gloves and took some shots instead of turtling right away...dennis is always accountable.

Great, clean hip check, just like old time hockey.

That was a perfectly clean, legal hit. Connor saw him coming, he could have pulled up and avoided it but he wanted to play hero and go after the puck. He got his. Gauthier is tough as nails but can't really fight, but understood that he was probly gonna have to answer to someone. I'm sure Fedoruk would have gone with Barch, but it looks like Krys went for an easy win.

The hip check was the best part.

Clean hit. Gauthier is not a fighter.

Barch - job well done, as legal as the hit was enforcement was required!...and Gauthier took a licking.

EVERYONE BITCHING ABOUT GAUTHIER'S HIT SHOULD TAKE THEIRS SKIRTS OFF AND BE QUIET....
Gauthier can be chippy/dirty with his hits but this wasn't one of them...connors needs glasses if he didn't see him coming and the hit was nowhere near his knees...
regardless, barch did what he had to do... fortunately, for him the flyers PP stinks and the extra penalty didn't hurt the team

Is this Women's hockey now? What's with everyone laying on the ice lately?

Good hit by Gauthier, but once again Gauthier can't back up anything with his fists. I can't believe that I actually read from an idiot Flyer fan that Ben Eager can beat George Laraque. Ben Eager couldn't even handle slip and fall wobbley kneed Chris Thorburn, how could he even fathom trying to fight the champ? What is it with Flyer fans? Your team sucks all around with the standings, offense, defense, and fighting. The Broadstreet bullies are gone, when cheif Flyer punk Derian Hatcher retires, maybe the Flyers will have a shot at being halfway decent again.

I like the check, not much of a fight really. How does anyone vote for Gauthier, maybe because of the nice hip check? Come on people!

CLEAR WIN Barch as u can expect before fight.
About hit...it was clean one.-

Good clean hit and Gauthier gets hammered? I guess guys will stop checking other guys sooner or later if they think they'll have to fight someone then this will be a non contact sport. It's bull****. If it's a dirty hit, I can see someone needing to pay up, but anymore, clean hits require guys to drop them whether they want to or not. ******* need to learn to take hits.

It was a hip check all right, but how much lower could Gauthier possibly go without intending to take out his opponent's knees? I love hard-hitting hockey, but I'm surprised so many here call it a clean check because I don't think Gauthier literally could've "stooped" any lower than he did. Barch did exactly what an enforcer should do in a situation like that to go after Gauthier. I only wish the officials had let Barch beat on him a little longer.
