Mar 21, 2007 Philadelphia Flyers Ben Eager
1pd 08:00 New York Rangers Colton Orr
Comments: Eager knocks Daniel Girardi down with an open-ice hit, causing Orr to take exception and go after Eager. They drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other next to the benches. Orr connects with three straight rights to the side of Eager's helmet. Eager is able to tie Orr up for a moment, but Orr quickly gets free and throws a right that comes up short just before he goes down to his knees. Orr gets back up and Eager gets off three consecutive rights. Eager gets Orr turned around and Orr falls to the ice. Eager gets in a right while they are falling, but the linesmen are right there to grab them and prevent anything else from happening. Eager gets back up to his feet and exchanges words with the Rangers' bench and Orr as well while skating to the penalty box. Eager also has a bloody lip and mouth.

Orr hits Eager three times in the helmet and probably hurt his hand more than Eager.

Eager gets in a few and the takedown.

Decision for Eager.

Eager was too strong for Orr. The reason Eager wouldn't go after Strudwig was becasue he wanted Avery, but Avery wouldn't go because he is a punk. Wait til the 31st, the Flyers just called uop Riley Cote, the enforcer for the phantoms. It will be a good game.

The MSG feed was actually better than the Comcast feed. It was unfortunate for Orr to get off balance, but Eager took advantage of that and drilled him twice and then once when he was on the ice. No one will give Eager credit, but he gets the edge.

I give the edge to Eager in this fight. I also give him alot of credit for going with Orr after Fedoruk got knocked out. I don't think you can call Eager a punk when he hits everything that moves, and is always willing to go. A punk runs his mouth or does some stickwork, but won't drop the gloves.

Eager controlled the fight and Orr, Orr snuch some rabbit punches in the beginning but nothing crucial. eager controlled Orr's body the whole time, and got in a monster shot at the end after he threw Orr to the ground.

Ben "the ultimate coward" Eager wanted no part of Orr. Orr bloodied him up despite Eager wrestling him down and cheap shotting Orr in the end. What a f*ckhead, Eager is scum and doesn't belong in the NHL.

Orr is a goofball. I hope his career ends soon. The nhl can do without him. Wussy move punching a guy over his back Eager! If you can't do it on the feet facing him don't take advantage of a bad position after a fall. Dishonorable bs punch. DRAW!

Orr actually landed four rights to start the fight (the first of which isn't seen in the live MSG feed but can be seen in the replay). The first landed solidly on Eager's jaw and the next three to the side of his helmet. After a couple of body shots, Orr goes down after missing a right. After he gets up, Eager lands two solid shots. Orr then falls to the ice and Eager throws a right when Orr's down.

Draw.

Orr gets a few in early and cuts Eagers mouth. Eager overpowers Orr at end and gets a couple of good ones in before its over. OK fight.
