Feb 22, 2007 Philadelphia Flyers Todd Fedoruk
2pd 05:12 Carolina Hurricanes Tim Gleason
Comments: Fedoruk shoves Ray Whitney down to the ice and Gleason challenges him after the whistle blows to stop play. The two drop the gloves and square off at center ice. They grab ahold of one another and Gleason quickly gets in two rights. Gleason throws a quick left jab, straight right combination to follow that up. Gleason continues to go with jersey-jabs mixed in with a right and Fedoruk throws a left during the exchange. Fedoruk throws a right hook and Gleason answers with two more rights that knock Fedoruk's helmet off. Gleason then throws a flurry of five unanswered rights with two of them connecting while Fedoruk tries to move away from the shots. Gleason is then able to wrestle Fedoruk down to the ice and the linesmen are right there to intervene. Other Penalties: Fedoruk received a hooking.

Gleason did a good job stepping in for his teammate. Fedoruk hit the man in the back and git a beating for it.

Gleason is getting better and better and Fedoruk is getting worse and worse. Alot of those punches from Gleason came up short, but that in itself detered Fedoruk and had him "ducking" his head.

boy i hope Fridge can turn it around or he is going to be out of the NHL soon......Good on Gleason for taking on Fedoruk and not letting Fridge run his team mates

but Gleason has not had allot of success fighting and he owned a disinterested Fedoruk.......this one wasn't close and Fridge looks a bit like Belak looked this year against Janssen bofore he turned it around.....hope Fedoruk wakes up soon! very clear win for Gleason

Suprising win by Tim Gleason over Fedoruk. Maybe it's a contiuation and effect of a bad year for todd or he didn't get to reset and wait to get a big punch in but Gleason outlanded him and won fairly clearly. Nice job by Gleason in coming to his mates aid and dropping them with an accomplished pugulist.

Great bout for Gleason. Even square off, then Gleason grabs on and throws more than a few rights, then yet another flurry, with 3-4 landing pretty well. Easy win for Gleason.

man, Fedoruk is not the same player. he fights now just trying not to get hurt it looks like. Gleason stepped up and handled him.

Glad to see Fedoruk get his clock cleaned.

Gleason definitely landed more, and did not give the Fridge time to catch his breathe. this isn't the first time these guys fought. they went at it in the AHL(Tim - Monarchs, Todd - Fantoms), but i don't know how that one went.

I give Gleason major credit for going with Fedoruk, as i would'nt rate Gleason has a top heavyweight or even a top fighter, and Todd is, i thought Gleason controlled this fight well and landed the cleaner harder punches, 10 outta 10 for effort on Gleason's part, bad day at the office for Todd.

Good showing for Gleason, I was really hoping that Fedoruk would get into a fight with someone like Gleason or another middleweight to try and regain his style and get some confidence, but it looks as though he may be in trouble... What do you guys think?

seeing it live was great. I was nervous seeing Gleason take on Fedoruk, but Gleason ripped him a new one.
