This was one of the most interesting fights of the very new season. This one started when Todd Fedoruk dropped one glove and wanted to fight Derek Boogard at Boogard's blueline. Boogard had his back turned to Fedoruk and was playing the puck so he couldn't see that Fedoruk wanted to fight. Fedoruk was going to be penalized on the play, and since Minnesota had possesion there was a delay. The puck was played into the Anaheim zone and I guess Fedoruk figured if he was going to get a penalty, he might as well get into a fight. Fedoruk follows Boogard all the way into the zone, confronts him along the boards and they both immediately shed the mitts. Basically Fedoruk doesn't give Boogard any chocie... They tie each other and Fedoruk throws a right cross but Boogard has him locked up and the punch is locked out. Boogard than answers with a right of his own which partially caught Fedoruk in the face. Boogard than catches Fedoruk with a VERY nice right hand which must have hurt, and than switches to the left and nails Fedoruk with a very stiff left jab. This clearly hurt Fedoruk and put him in a very vulnerable position and as he was half turned off balance, Boogard loads up the right hand and absolutely tags Fedoruk with a nasty right hand bomb from hell... Fedoruk immediately crumpled to the ice holding his face and left the game. Absolute bomb landed by Boogard. KO win for Boogard.

Boogaard just toys with him for a few seconds setting up the big brick punch and then lets him have it right in the kisser. What the hell was Fedoruk thinking?

Why would ANYONE want to go after Boogaard. He is huge, like a refrigerator on skates and the scowl on his face says it all. He is truly, "The bull of the woods".

Man what did Fedoruk have for breakfast that morning. Why did he even try that. Bet he's still losing sleep over it.

Boogaard totally dominated. Fedoruk was stupid for challenging the Big Boogeyman with KO'd him. Boogaard had 2 KO's this game!
