David Koci vs Derek Boogaard

Stars with an awesome stand off for about 6 seconds or so - then Boogaard grabs on with a very hard grabbing left. They both get the hands free as they're both in tight, they come out and exchange rights, both missing. They lock each other out for a bit, while Boogaard throws a huge right that misses to the back of the head - Koci counters with a right that connects to the head, followed up with another right that looks to come up short. Boogaard hits him with a jersey jab followed with a right hand that lands to the head - Koci tries to throw a jersey jab or two - but Boogey is really getting the right hand flying now. Boogaard throws and lands 6 rights, all to the head/face. While Koci throws 3, with the first short and the last two connecting. Boogaard throws 3 more rights, first to the top/back of the head, the next lands on the face and last lands on the top of the head - Koci is able to counter with 2 rights and a JJ, all 3 punches miss though. After Boogaard's final right, he loses his balance and falls down - while Koci lands one more right on the ice as the refs move in.

Nice pre-season warmup for Boogeyman. From my seat right behind the Chicago bench you could clearly see Koci was bloodied. He went to the locker room for a new zipper. Koci is a puss for punching on the ice and I'm looking forward to another matchup tomorrow night.

NIce win by Boogaard. He hit Koci with 4-5 solid shots that shook Koci was just out of landing distance. Koci is a b*tch for throwing punches on the ice. Looks like the start of a nice rivalry. About time.
