Clarkson pushes Filip Kuba into his own goaltender, causing Gratton to skate over and grab him. They talk a bit before dropping the gloves. Gratton gets in a short right and then follows up with two more rights that Clarkson tries to duck away from. Clarkson then lands a right that knocks Gratton's helmet off. Gratton starts to lose his balance and Clarkson throws a right that misses just as Gratton slips and falls to the ice. Clarkson falls on top of him and the linesmen swiftly move in and separate them. Other Penalties: Clarkson received a hooking and roughing.

Horton rides Jay Pandolfo along the boards, with Pandolfo's head hitting the glass in between the player benches. Right off of the ensuing faceoff the Asham and Horton drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other at the blueline. Horton throws two rights while Asham gets himself situated. Horton grazes Asham with a straight right. Asham comes back with some rights to the helmet and body of Horton. Horton gets Asham bent over and gets in three rights. Asham answers with an overhand right. Horton responds with four answered rights, including an uppercut. Asham lands a short right and they wrestle up against the glass. They go back and forth with rights until Horton takes control and hammers Asham down to the ice.

Allen bumps Clarkson in front of the Panthers' net, knocking his helmet off. Clarkson takes exception, drops his gloves, and grabs Allen. He then lets go to allow Clarkson to drop his stick and gloves. They latch on once again and Allen throws two quick rights. Clarkson comes back with a whipping right that grazes Allen. Clarkson then throws an uppercut, but loses his balance and falls to the ice. He gets back up and takes a right from Allen. Clarkson tries an uppercut once again and throws two overhand rights behind it. Allen switches hands and throws a left. Clarkson counters with a right but falls to the ice for a second time. He quickly returns to his feet and Allen throws a wild left. They exchange lefts just before Clarkson wrestles Allen down to the ice.

Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and square off near the blueline. They grab ahold of each other and immediately start going toe-to-toe with lefts. Asham goes down to a knee, but gets back up after a moment. They start going toe-to-toe with lefts once more until Asham finally lands one that sends Cote down to the ice. Asham falls on top of Cote and the linesmen jump in as well.

Brookbank bumps Eager into the boards. Brookbank then shoves Eager and they decide to drop the gloves. They grab ahold of each other and wrestle around for a moment. Eager gets loose and throws an uppercut inside. They exchange short rights before grappling some more. Eager throws two rights and a body shot. Brookbank pushes Eager up against the boards and throws a right. Brookbank follows up with a right cross that lands. They continue to wrestle around until the linesmen decide to intervene and end the fight.

Ed Jovanovski hits Clarkson into the boards while Clarkson tries to play the puck up ice. Dainius Zubrus slips and falls while going after the puck and inadvertently kicks Carcillo in the face. Carcillo goes down with his hands over his face. Meanwhile Clarkson skates around Carcillo and bumps Jovanovski in retaliation for his hit moments earlier. They go nose-to-nose and Clarkson drops his gloves. Carcillo gets up and grabs Clarkson, dropping his gloves during the journey over. They spin around and Carcillo sticks a left hand in Clarkson's face. Clarkson throws a right that knocks the two off-balance and to the ice. Carcillo gets in a right just before the linesmen jump on top of them. Other Penalties: Clarkson received a roughing.

Clarkson takes a couple of extra whacks at Antero Niittymaki after he freezes the puck. Smith takes exception and shoves Clarkson on top of Niittymaki. Clarkson drops his gloves and grabs Smith who drop his mitts after a brief moment as well. They go back and forth with rights to start things off. Clarkson gets his left hand free and they spin around. Clarkson throws two short lefts while Smith struggles to get free. Clarkson then wrestles Smith to the ice and gets in a left while Smith is down.
