anybody have insight as to why jersey condemned rich matvichuk to the minors, then traded for salvador? seems like a dumb $3 million hit for no real gain. matvichuk is stronger and a better backward skater than salvador.

All I can say is that I was very dissappointed with the Cam/Bryce trade. As a St. Louis fan for sometime I hated to see Salvador go. Here we've only seen cam a handful of games it seems like a waste. However on the flip Bryce can definately handle himself when dropping the gloves. Check out some of his past fights. It's crappy someone like McLeod just holds on for dear life. Definately would have been different if Salvador would have gotten free.

DRAW. and as to Matvichuk career. its pretty much OVER... Slower than a snail, and his hockey skill they need are...hummm. gone!! the right word.
