Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Dec 16, 2007 Philadelphia Flyers Riley Cote
1pd 02:03 New Jersey Devils Michael Rupp
Comments: Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and square off. They grab ahold of each other and Cote throws a quick left that tags Rupp and sends him to the ice. The linesmen quickly move in and the two are separated and escorted to the penalty box.

I think Rupp lost his balance but the only punch that landed was from Cote so as much as I hate to vote for a Filthadelphia Flyer its the right thing to do. Win Cote (Ouch that hurt)

Cote with the win!! EZ!!! But I do not think he ready to go with Laraque! The FLYERS should think about bring up a true GOON! Not a media made goon! To lay out Laraque for all the POO he has been talking! He slides into Biron then says he did it on purpopse!! That is what I call TALKING ****! Maybe HOMER should suit up for the 24th and do it him self! Either way that TRUELY intential crap should not happen in hockey and CROSBY will find out!!

Not much of a fight. Win Cote, but nothing to brag about.

I wish the linesman wouldn't have jumped in so quickly.

Cote wins for the first time this season.

Common folks lets cheer for Riley. Everyone else in the NHL and AHL has punched in his face so he needs to win one once and a while.

I'm a Flyers fan and thus biased, but Riles did everything right here and got a solid decision over a bigger guy. Whatever team you root for, you have to give Cote his due; he's not the biggest or the strongest - in fact, he often gives away significant weight and height to his opponents (e.g. Brash vs. Cote) - but when it's time to go, he goes.

This must be the 1st fight I've ever seen Cote win... and I've seen a lot of Flyers/Phantoms games over the years. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes.

Apparently Cote missed the memo from the commentor on the Smith fight in that he "does nothing BUT get hit'
He has to be one of my favorite guys this year, almost always entertaining!
Usually ends up going toe to toe, but didn't even have to here.

Nice shot by Cote, otherwise not much significant.

Ok.....It's blatantly obvious that Mike Rupp is a member of this site, AND, he voted for himself often. So, if Mike Tyson KO's a guy with one punch, it's a draw? Hmmmm.......

One and done. Riley the winner.
