Thornton is one tough SOB. After watching Rupp get his head handed to him last spring by Jody Shelley I have to believe the Rangers will miss Brandon Prust.

The best scrap of opening night. Thornton always seems to hold his own against taller guys. This fight was much closer than I first thought. But the Mayor of Charlestown gets the W.

I like these two players...
Win to Thornton.
Difference in the win was how Thornton changed things up with the upper-cut and jersey jabs. Rupp stayed with the over-hand right that never connected.

Nice respect at the end by Shawn.

Thornton with the edge this time, once again showing that although he gives up size in nearly every fight, he'll take on anyone..... Welcome back gentleman.... And let us not forget to welcome back "les dames" of Montreal and Vancouver!!!! Adjust those thongs ladies, it's going to be another year of beat downs....

Ok ....its really kinda funny how things change in exactly a year ....Go back see last years fight ....Thornton did better in it and people gave it to Rupp Hmmmm ...This year, close fight Rupp maybe landing more !? I'll call a draw .... Everyone vote Thornton!!!! WTF ????? Bottom line is I love Thornton he is Tuff as nails buit he has a Ruppf Haha time with Rupp :) He hasnt beat him clean in any of the fights on here and he got SMOKED once !!!

Seems to me Rupp clearly won the start of the fight, Thornton with his 1-2 combo took the middle round, and Thornton edged Rupp at the end. Ergo, Thornton winner.
