Great bout in high definition for a national television audience. I thought Erskine was out of it early but he came back to win. Rupp might have been doing the Roberto Duran "No mas" litany at the end and can you blame him?

WOW, i like watching Erskine throw them. Old time fighter win or lose, just stands in there and goes toe to toe.

Nothing serious with Rupp guys. According to the after game show, he got poked in the eye and had his contact screwed up or something.

Great fight...!
Liked the way Erskine fell and got up and kept throwing, never lost a beat.
Both throwing back and forth with good intensity,
Giving the edge to Erskine as I felt Rupp faded towards the end and initiated to stop the fight.
Props to the camera crew...nice angle,
Way to start the New Year boys !

Somewhere out there, there is a dog named Rupp. The people who named it might not even follow hockey.

Murderous intentions!!!!!!
That's how Big Johnny E throws!!!!!!
I'm giving him the win cause I'm a fan(ex knight) and Rupp quit!!!!! If not for those things .......It could go eitherway!!!!!!!
I wanna see Big Johnny E and Colton Orr Open up the Bomb doors and LET ER GO!!!!!!!

One Of em's goin to NAKA-SAKI :)
Ps He's an ex Knight......Not Me

stoked to finally see a winter classic donnybrook! i thought it was pretty even until something happened at the end, not sure what it was, but rupp called it. well now that some peoples have filled me in on the wayward contact lens, i am going with a draw and a 7. unfortunate, it was looking good. love erskine, i still hear people knocking riley cote these days, and the reason i bring him up, is because he, likewise with erskine, always put on great scraps, and go for the gold. few guys that drop the mitts these days throw with reckless abandon like erskine does... "bad intentions" someone called it his last fight. just perfect. (win or lose, i miss cote).

if this winter classic has taught me anything, it is to NEVER go to nbc to find out what the weather will be like.

Good tilt & I like the camera angle. Tempted to call it edge Erskine but it's a draw.

Rupp lost a contact or something that is why he quit......Draw.

Erskine is frightening when he gets that right hand cannon going. Scored it a TKO due to the verbal submission by Rupp. Oh sweet jesus how i wish they had kept Erskine in Dallas.
