I'm not a big Koci fan, but the hit seemed legit.
As for the fight...I'm surprised Erskine didn't fare better...
Draw-ish.

Only in the NHL can an all-star d-man like Mike Green get laid out with a cheap hit by a journeyman club fighter who skates two minutes a game. Kudos to Erskine for taking on Koci but once the jersey got pulled over his head the fight was over.

Props to Erskine for stepping up after the cheap shot. Koci gets the W in the fight though

Koci wins this one pretty easily. Green looked like he knew what was coming, and turned his back to a pretty obvious hit coming his way. As for Erskine, well, he was out of his league against Koci.

Green didn't turn his back-appeared to be a matter of reasonable positioning, to me, while making the pass . Cheap hit. Green's fortunate not to have, apparently, sustained any serious injury. I like Erskine-too bad he lost.

firstly, green is on cruise controll with a 5-0 lead, secondley, he sees koci coming, then he turns his back on him, also the hit is mostly to the shoulder, as far as koci * having to answer for it* i,d say he did that. i'm not a fan of either of these teams (especially the av's) but i'm tired of star treatment for certain players, weather its' you can't touch them, or they get to cheap shot others at will , I.E. dion phanuf. while the "goons" are held under a freaking microscope for anything they do. i'm sure c*ntface colon campell will thow the book at koci, just so he can show the espn & foxsports dopes that the nhl is "cracking down on violence" weeeelll f*ck colon campell , and for that matter f*ck his dwarf ish-uber-scumbag NBA f*cking boss gary buttman too!

koci is a meathead, but that hit didn't look too bad. we used to lay each other out like that in practice all the time, jeez. fact is, koci is a huge guy and if he pops you, it will hurt. for a minute, then it's back to hockey. as for the fight, erskine is a good teammate and he will always show up, but he isn't much of a heavyweight NHL scrapper, and certainly no match for koci most nights.

Cheap shot right in the numbers by Koci. No doubt about that.

WHAM! on Green and WHAM on Erskine.

Koci got his money's worth on both.

clean hit. Koci did his job, he's an enforcer. Green turned his back at last moment and Koci wasn't able to stop his run.
