my brain doesn't have the capacity to understand how these two can take those shots standing. that was like watching bill brasky fight bill brasky. i am amazed, calling it a draw and ten. i don't know what more you can ask for in a fight.

Posted by The DZA on November 15, 2010 at 07:47 AM

10 There were about 6 or 7 punches that could have been knockout punches in any other scrap. Any rating less than a 10 is disrespectful.

Awesome

Posted by bruiseyoureye on November 15, 2010 at 03:40 PM

that was one hell of a fight.....solid draw.

Posted by sneaky lefty on November 15, 2010 at 07:57 PM

Posted by Behn Wilson on November 21, 2010 at 11:36 PM

I completely agree with BlacknGold....Holy Friggin' Crap!!! Fight of the Year, so far. at least from what I've seen.. . ...with both guys throwing everything but the kitchen sink at each other, and swinging for the fences on practically every shot. As BTWilson put it, it's a wonder these two remained standing throughout this epic tilt. Mucho Propos to both guys for exceeding expectations.

Posted by brunis_pens on November 15, 2010 at 11:56 AM

first review of the year is for what I call a damaging slugfest between two of the most feared fighters in all eastern conference well, we (hopefully not) won't see something like this for a long long time...

Posted by fernben8 on November 16, 2010 at 12:12 AM

I don't usually comment on the voting but can't understand the gap difference between these two fighters. Honestly feel that the short replay shown of Erskine connecting has influenced the voting in his favor. That replay was only the tip of the iceberg and were many more of those by both. For those who are new to hockey or this site , this is a text book example of what a DRAW should be. Great slug fest ...well done boys ! The only winner here are the fans !!

Posted by hockey450 on November 15, 2010 at 04:25 PM

That was the best fight of the year so far... toe 2 toe scrap ! I am going to call it a Draw with a slight edge to Erskine for landing more of the punches, but hats off to both guys, damn good fight.

Posted by joeye4 on November 15, 2010 at 07:36 AM

Not a fan of either team or players but what a great fight. No holding back. Big bombs by both. Could not give an edge to either. Great Job!

Posted by skater1 on November 17, 2010 at 07:33 AM

Two of the toughest guys in the NHL going at it toe to toe. Erskine doesn't do it much any more but when he does, he shows up for sure. I think Boulton had all he could handle and then some but stood his ground. Great job by both.

Posted by filthynumber1 on November 15, 2010 at 12:57 AM

Posted by HerrT on November 15, 2010 at 06:39 AM

Not too shabby at all...only way to improve that slugfest would be to throw a Hab in between those two fine warriors. Full marks to both! And to all those nerds that want to take fighting out of hockey...LOOK at the crowd...like they scored an overtime winner for the cup!

Posted by RPULTZ on November 19, 2010 at 02:30 PM

FOTY! And kudos to both CSN Washington & Sportssouth for calling the fight. Washington had "These are not love taps" & Sportsouth had "Flush to the Mush" Awsome Fight, Awsome Calls

Fight of the year so far!

Posted by MatchPenalty on November 16, 2010 at 10:22 PM

I've like Boulton ever since he reigned supreme in the OHL with my hometown Sarnia Sting. The only guys who ever gave him a descent go back then were Brandon Sugden, Justin McPolin (both with a very tough London Knights team), and Andre Payette. Erskine narrowly missed Boulton's age group when he broke in with the Knigts. Ah, David Branch, what have you done to the O !?! It used to be tough. I feel sorry for the kids today coming up in that league. Oh, the fight, good on you both lads.

GEAT FIGHT !! SO GOOD IT IS THE FIRST FIGHT I IHAVE REVIEWED THIS SEASON. I GIVE THIS GREAT BOT A DRAW SINCE BOTH DID SO WELL I TIHNK IT IS UNFAIR TO DECLARE A WINNER.

Posted by sedinfan on November 14, 2010 at 11:03 PM

I can't give anyone a win for that, they both deserve a draw. Unbelievable, what a performance. That was a Bo Derek fight, first of the year.

Posted by Caps_since91 on November 18, 2010 at 10:52 PM

I AM caps hockey, and Erskine has been one of my favorites since we picked him up, good to see he's gettin more time this year. I still gotta give this one a draw though; and tack it up as an awesome fight. Two heavy weights trading big blows, no cheap sh!t, no serious injury....good scrap, good scrap. good game too; i was there

Posted by Moosewood on July 28, 2016 at 03:20 PM

Blow for blow essentially each combatant getting in his own great shots. This was not a size them up type of fight for a short bout, but mano e mano and that made for a quality fight!

Posted by BOOGAARD-KUSHED on October 23, 2015 at 03:31 AM

what a fight !

fight of the year so far

Posted by HonkyTonkHero on November 15, 2010 at 11:00 PM

Bolts was the aggressor and set the pace of the fight. Erskine did land some a soloid punch at the end. However, I counted more landed hits from Bolts.

Posted by Spoonster on February 16, 2011 at 03:36 PM

I watched this a number of times and can't figure out how only 10% say Boulton? Boulton landed more shots and a number of them hit square on. At the very worst I could see this as a draw, but Boulton appeared to do more damage (busted open Erskine's eye). Not a Boulton or an Atlanta fan, just calling it like I see it.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on February 14, 2013 at 04:44 PM

Unbelievable fight. One of the best toe to toe battles ever.

Posted by Odgersfan on November 16, 2010 at 01:47 PM

WOW! There were bombs landed by both in this one. This is a draw but I voted for Boults to even out the voting. The big winner in this one is US for getting to see such a great fight!

Posted by ETR on November 14, 2010 at 07:53 PM

FOTY so far, absolute toe to toe bombs, gave Boulton the slight edge...

Posted by icebird_21 on November 15, 2010 at 12:54 PM

THAT was a fight! Dang the bombs that were dropped in that one. Get these boys in an airplane over Afghanistan!

Posted by brettmanrocks on November 15, 2010 at 05:46 PM

You can tell Erskine was done cause he pushed Bolton into the boards.

Posted by Bosoxshute on November 15, 2010 at 09:46 PM

FOY

Posted by IceHockey91 on November 14, 2010 at 08:24 PM

AMAZING FIGHT!! I give a slight edge to boulton, but this was a bomb fest and either could of won. FOTY so far hands down. Good job by both guys.

Posted by faceman on January 05, 2011 at 08:52 AM

FOTY, a 10 for sure, loved the crowd reactions to the replay too. These guys can hit & get hit with the best of em. Johnny Erskine edges here for landing the best blows.

Posted by leacha on November 15, 2010 at 11:34 AM

Definitely fight of the year so far. Bombs away. Erskine gets the nod, but man was that close. Tapping my stick to both of those guys.

Posted by Thrasher on November 15, 2010 at 10:52 PM

Ofcurse BOULTON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by johnnyrock555 on July 22, 2016 at 07:20 PM

Not sure how this could not be a win for Boulton. He landed 4 or 5 that would have knocked out the average man. Great fight. I especially like the spot where Boulton knocks the smile off Erskine's face (about the 40 to 45 second mark).

Posted by nait on January 06, 2013 at 12:15 AM

Boulton by a hair

Posted by mullet33 on November 16, 2010 at 02:15 PM

Are the Thrasher annoucers watching the same fight??? Boulton was getting peppered. Good fight by both but Erskine with the edge.

Posted by thesauves52 on November 16, 2010 at 04:08 PM

Erskine got in much better punches...Boulton looked like a beaten man sitting in the box.

Posted by QUIGGS22 on November 16, 2010 at 04:02 PM

Wow great fight slight edge to Erskine.

Posted by slapshot2626 on November 15, 2010 at 09:47 AM

Boulton jumps Erskine and still can't get it done.

Posted by omorales on November 15, 2010 at 12:09 PM

nice fight by Erskine, who knew?

Posted by BrianTheAdsFan on November 16, 2010 at 04:37 PM

Posted by rocky 1 on November 14, 2010 at 10:11 PM

Erskine throws more and lands more so he gets my vote!

Posted by mctuttle on November 14, 2010 at 07:58 PM

Erskine connected slightly more and with more force while Boulton's best shots hit Erskine's shoulders.

Posted by ThogSmash on November 15, 2010 at 04:36 PM

Great fight give it to Erskine but could've been a draw, Boulton connected with the biggest bomb but Erskine threw more and counter punched everything..

Posted by OffGoyim on February 20, 2011 at 03:41 PM

Oh so close I think Erskine had one more big bomb than Boulton

Posted by Big_Goon on November 15, 2010 at 02:59 PM

Bolton with the gloves off first (instigator penalty) and throwing first. Erskine absorbed them and came back with much heavier punches with at least three on the button, heart kept Bolton up for sure. Props to Bolton for hanging in there and throwing back, but his punches didn't have near the power/precision as Erskines. One HELL OF A FIGHT, no circling, hugging, dancing, etc. For those just reveiwing the clips, Bolton spent the rest of the game in the locker room. Not sure if it was from the blows to the head/jaw. He looked a bit dazed on the bench (guessing when his adrenaline dropped the after affects kicked in). Hopefully he will be back for the rematch in Atlanta Friday :) Erskine with the win, 'big' props to Bolton for hanging with him.The biggest winner, the hockey fight fans!!!

Posted by DARCY T on November 20, 2010 at 05:26 AM

how come boulton is still alive after them bombs??win erskine

Posted by billy jack on November 14, 2010 at 10:22 PM

Man they were wanting to bust chops, that was let er rip kind of scrap.

Posted by staceyb on November 16, 2010 at 04:13 PM

Now that was a fight! Too many battles today are the crab style, side by side affairs where the guy with the longer reach has the advantage. These two guys were lobbing bombs at each other. I thought Erskine threw the most punishing blows, but Boulton gave it as good as he got it. Erskine came back later to score the winning goal, an identical slapshot to the one he scored against the Rangers last week. Bravo to both combatants!

Posted by Detroit_Caps on November 15, 2010 at 06:34 PM

. . .damn. Now thats a fight, . . .I'm surprised its wasnt D-Buff (the spelling of his last name is a pain) after the last game.. . . But damn . . .

Don't see big guys through this hard for this long anymore. Great Fight

Posted by Paul_from_NoVa on November 15, 2010 at 03:41 AM

Holy cow. Erskine by a whisker. Got the best shots in and made creative use of his holding hand, getting a few little jabby left uppercuts in with it. These guys were WAILING on each other. It looked to me, too, that Boulton suckered Erskine off the drop. (And in return Erskine scored the game winner!)

Posted by adigitalcure on November 15, 2010 at 09:46 AM

BIg John for the win and game winning goal!

Posted by rhartogs on November 14, 2010 at 10:59 PM

Watching this live on TV I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I started texting my friends to confirm it was a great fight, that this website proves it. Very slight edge to Erskine for taking the punches and dishing it out, after Boulton got an unexpected jump.

Posted by Veleno45 on November 14, 2010 at 08:06 PM

Probably a draw, but I will give the edge to Erskine the underdog. Landed that nice right against the boards. Huge fight though, applause to both.

Posted by sorengo99 on November 14, 2010 at 10:21 PM

Apart from Boulton's semi-sucker to start, Erskine owned this fight hands down. Many more on-target blows plus the bonus jersey-over-the-face sequence.

Posted by cmt.caps on November 15, 2010 at 08:44 AM

Those of you who voted this a draw are fooling yourselves. Boulton did not skate another shift after the fight. Erskine went on to score the GWG. Erskine ended it after he noticed that Boulton was not all there. Well done Jonny ...

Posted by bigbadb08 on November 08, 2011 at 02:05 AM

Gotta give it to the ginger. If BOulton took his helmet off, I might have changed my mind

amazing fight a 10 for sure chuck em

Posted by kryon24 on November 17, 2010 at 06:22 PM

Gotta give a very narrow win to Erskine as he was throwing and connecting with bad intentions. He reminds me of how Kocur use to reel back and throw those straight bombs. I w surprised to see Boulton take them and not even flinch. That just shows that Ersky doesn't have the Kocur power. Best fight so far this year as both connected but Ersky was more on target and stronger.

I gave the slight edge to Erskine for landing cleaner shots. Two super tough, rock 'em sock' em robots who deserve alot of credit. Take em to give em. Wouldn't want to meet either guy in a bar fight. They'd carry me out on a stretcher. Way to go boys. Way to go. The clear winner is all of us who get to watch it without loosing teeth.

This was all set up by a big hit from Boulton on Bradley earlier in the period. Great fight, I though Boulton won on first view. After watching the replay Erskine landed more. Both guys stood in and took it.

Posted by mrunohoo on November 15, 2010 at 12:57 AM

Wouldn't have expected these two for the FOTY. Clearly a draw, but I gave the win for Erskine, just for the mustache. THE GREAT MUSTACHE-IO!

Posted by bradass81 on November 15, 2010 at 03:48 PM

Awesome fight. edge erskine.

Posted by seacritt on November 15, 2010 at 11:24 AM

I have got to give Erskine the slightest edge here, but props to both of them for giving and taking such bombs. FOTY so far.

Posted by BigRob1 on November 14, 2010 at 07:50 PM

FOTY so far. Great fight. 10 all the way around. I give Erskine the slight edge but could see it a draw.

Posted by DC FURY on November 15, 2010 at 12:44 PM

That's about as good as they get

Posted by pch49 on November 15, 2010 at 12:03 PM

Edge to Erskine. Appears to have landed 3 bombs. Those are 2 tough battle hardened hombres for sure.

Posted by blwiseass on November 15, 2010 at 10:52 AM

Boulton caught Erskine with one early, but Erskine responded with some big hits from the mid point on. You have to love the Smile on Erskine's face after landing a couple, and his reaction to Bolton's attempt at a fake out.

Fight of the Year Candidate

Posted by GarthButcher on January 03, 2011 at 05:35 PM

My face is sore. Erskine looks like he is throwing fastballs out of the stretch, what wind up and what a cavalier attitude toward one's own knuckles!

Posted by DWJ703 on November 15, 2010 at 08:51 AM

Great fight, slight edge to John Erskine..great 70's porno 'stache.

Posted by m4rine77 on November 14, 2010 at 08:47 PM

WOW. i gotta give it to erskine for landing at least 3 solid shots to the face but this is just amazing. what a fight. both of these guys love what they're doing. you can tell by the big toothless smile on erskine's face. FOTY

Posted by TAZDEVIL on February 11, 2011 at 05:20 PM

Check the stats. 46.7 draw 42.7 Erskine 10.6 Boulton I would say that the majority are agreeing that this was Erskines fight. Both good brawlers. Watch the replay again. It almost looks like Erskine is smiling in one of the clips. Big John is having a great year. I am sure alot of the big contenders are thinking twice before dropping the gloves with Johnny

Posted by syde78 on November 15, 2010 at 09:23 PM

Watching this live I felt that edge-of-the-seat tension I sometimes get while watching a knock-down, drag-out MMA fight...

Posted by Caps44 on November 14, 2010 at 09:32 PM

Prototype slugfest! I agree: FOTY. Boulton started the fight (getting an initial roughing penalty). There were a couple of times that Erskine appeared to ask Boulton if he wanted to quit: each time, Erskine was answered by Boulton's fist. At the end, Erskine just drove Boulton into the glass, and waited to be separated by the linesmen. Great exchange of blows that really landed. Yeah, it was close, but Erskine controlled the end.

Posted by laughriot on November 29, 2010 at 01:44 PM

Nearly a draw but I gotta give it to Erskine for being the aggressor over the last 25% and also for hanging in at first as Boulton started throwing before Erskine even got his gloves off.

Posted by Ajaxechkin on November 20, 2010 at 02:58 PM

Erskine landed one or two bigger haymakers, even after getting tagged early as a result of not instigating the fight. Great Fight!

Posted by dkhman26 on November 19, 2010 at 12:43 AM

Boulton and Erskine drop gloves next to the Caps goal. Watching this live and being a Caps fan it definitely looked like Erskine may have landed an extra punch or two and may have had a bit more force behind his punches. All-in-all an awesome fight. It looks like the two of them agree to end the fight and let the refs break it up.

Posted by BrettB on November 22, 2010 at 11:04 AM

Heavy weight bout! Bombs away. I'll give this one to Erskine, but only by a whisker. He seemed to close out the fight more violently.

Posted by kman2 on November 15, 2010 at 09:40 AM

Boulton jumps on Erskine quick and rocks him, but Erskine wins it with two huge shots after.

Posted by ScooterBrowne on November 14, 2010 at 09:53 PM

Anyone else notice around the 51 second mark it looks like Boulton spit on Erskine and then Erskine slammed him into the boards? You can see it better in the feed from Atlanta

Posted by mylespadilla on November 14, 2010 at 09:42 PM

Great to watch. Those are some tough guys. Was so happy when Erskine got the game winner.

Posted by Ovechwin on November 14, 2010 at 09:56 PM

I'd give an edge to Ersk. He landed more, and has the kickass mo.

Posted by despaired on November 14, 2010 at 10:50 PM

Great fight...love that Erskine smirked at at Boulton about halfway through. And I'm happy to report I've heard he's gonna keep the stache around for a while.

Posted by nikitaov222 on November 15, 2010 at 12:01 AM

great fight, good job for the both of them, couldnt ask for anything better

Posted by duckypond7 on November 15, 2010 at 01:35 PM

Was at the game. Boulton started the fight . Erskine ended it. erskine landed far more direct hits with plenty of clot behind them than did Boulton. They both gave a good account of themselves but the win goes to Mr. Erskine.

Posted by Windupferrari on November 14, 2010 at 10:11 PM

Erskine throws a mean right, they looked painful from where I was in the 400 level. It was very even, but I thought Erskine did a better job of connecting on his punches. That man really knows how to put his weight into his punches. I loved how the crowd reacted to the replay, the OHs whenever Erskine landed a punch, and the standing ovation that followed.

Posted by LarsRover on November 15, 2010 at 09:11 AM

Excellent fight, a real treat to watch! Definitely best of the young NHL 2010-2011 season thus far.

Posted by Langway on November 15, 2010 at 09:21 AM

That was amazing. Haven't seen so many huge haymakers land squarely on a chin in the same fight in a long time and have it go the distance. Erskine wins for landing more although Boulton didn't lose by much. Best fight of the year so far.

Posted by sailchef1 on November 15, 2010 at 11:17 AM

Did Boulton spit on Erskine? That would explain the extra minor.

Posted by UnleashTheFury on November 15, 2010 at 11:54 AM

Amazing fight....not going to get too much better than this. As a Caps fan attempting to be not too biased I still believe Erskine won this fight. I saw it live, it was a great bout to even watch in replay. Erskine got jumped but stood tall and landed more and possibly slightly even more effective punches. I dig the manhandle into the boards at the end too. It's by a hair....a THIN hair. But Erskine with the edge. FOTY.

Posted by OldSchoolCaps84 on November 15, 2010 at 08:58 PM

Erskine lands some absolute bombs...amazing that Boulton could absorb those. Great fight.

Posted by Randman on November 15, 2010 at 03:49 PM

I give this fight to Erskine with a slim margin because I watched this fight live on tv/dvr and in slow motion Erskine landed more of his punches and at the end was still strong enough to muscle him to the boards. Fantastic fight! And he scores the gwg.

Posted by CapsAllDay on November 15, 2010 at 12:11 PM

Great fight, best fight I have seen all season.

Posted by CAPS HOMER on November 17, 2010 at 09:46 AM

I've visited this site nearly every day for the last few seasons and never felt compelled to comment. Until now. I've gone to Caps games for 35 years and I can't remember a more entertaining fight. The reason I wanted to comment is that I think the video angle did a bit of an injustice to Erskine here. I was sitting goal line extended on the opposite side of the ice and the bomb at :25 was remarkable. The follow up at :28 was also huge. To think Boulton remained conscious, not to mention standing, after those 2 is mind boggling. Don't be surprised if you find out Boulton's "broken finger" is really a vision problem: he saw 8 fingers when the trainer held up 2. It is a shame that the video didn't capture Boulton jumping Erskine - that was kinda BS. Best part might have been the crowd watching the replay immediately after, oohing and ahhing.

Posted by hockeydbom on November 15, 2010 at 04:59 PM

This is one of the greatest hockey fights I have ever witnessed. Both players landing ferocious punches to the mush. Fantastic bout. Boulton definitely deserved the extra minor, though.

Posted by Js7ii on November 16, 2010 at 12:51 AM

FOTY very close and both fighters did great. Slight edge to Erskine for facial hair and lack of teeth. This fight was the best of the year and anything less than a 10 is disrespectful. I'm looking forward to a rematch on friday. Don't hold out on me Johnny E, modern hockey needs another fight of this quality.

Posted by ey22314 on November 16, 2010 at 11:56 AM

I was there. Erskine lending right cross after right cross. The left jabs while holding Boulton's jersey should not be discounted either. Draw? Hell no. Solid win to Erskine.

Posted by clark7922 on November 16, 2010 at 01:49 PM

Haymakers!

Posted by Seabound117 on November 28, 2010 at 11:31 PM

Classic Johnny Erskine!

Posted by Dangshnizzle on November 06, 2017 at 04:39 PM

Erskine with the bigger blows and the decision to end it but I still have to call it a draw.

Posted by goon10 on November 16, 2010 at 09:06 PM

I honestly can't say I've seen punches thrown with that velocity for a long time, if ever.

Posted by samtheman on November 15, 2010 at 10:39 PM

That's about as good as it gets. Both gave a great effort so I'm calling it a draw.

Posted by BigBadBruins68 on November 15, 2010 at 12:38 AM

Wow. Epic. That is the battle in a word. Nobody loses here. Just Epic.

Posted by dorian on November 15, 2010 at 12:46 AM

Wow!! And to think I was planning on logging on and commenting somewhere - anywhere - on this site about what a snoozer this season has been so far. I think that no longer. Draw and a 10.

Posted by GagsFightsToo on November 17, 2010 at 01:38 PM

Hear me now: Fight of the Year. One of the best fights in years. That was awesome. Draw.

Fight of the year so far. If too many more of those had landed both of these guys would be getting coloring books for Christmas.

Posted by gmr133 on November 15, 2010 at 11:34 AM

Excellent draw. Old time bombs. Erskine with the extra point for the fu manchu.

Posted by Oil Can Henry on November 16, 2010 at 12:42 AM

Excellent scrap - too hard to pick a winner - that's how you earn 5 minutes for fighting - not like the inflated penalty totals of someone like Zenon Konopka who basically wrestles the entire season.

Posted by buzzgun2000 on November 15, 2010 at 06:23 AM

Rock 'em, sock 'em. Punishing draw.

Posted by snowave on November 15, 2010 at 09:17 PM

awesome... good job guys

Posted by Boogeyman2383 on November 15, 2010 at 09:35 PM

Boulton landed a great shot early Erskine had a one at the end of the fight, probably the best punch of the fight Gave it a Draw. Neither guy deserved a loss for this one.

Posted by travist on November 15, 2010 at 11:32 PM

absolutely no losers here...GREAT tilt! love hearing the crowd reacting to the replay in the background.

Posted by ericaeaton1 on November 15, 2010 at 10:41 AM

Very good fight lots of big blows landing for both guys, draw a fair result.

Posted by glacierkayaker on November 18, 2010 at 09:43 PM

Wow, just wow.

Posted by FHgrad99 on November 14, 2010 at 11:07 PM

Wow, those two must have jaws made out of concrete to stay standing after some of the shots they both took. Very good fight.

Posted by stlbluenote11 on January 07, 2011 at 05:19 PM

They could have sold that on PPV and made mroe money than a UFC fight!

Posted by brokenhead on November 16, 2010 at 12:16 AM

I see it as a draw........Great tilt though!

Posted by 29th_Candidate on January 14, 2011 at 01:08 PM

Wow. What a hammerfest. FOTY. --Both guys still standing and visibly undamaged after that A-bomb exchange? Solid draw.

Posted by rudyk on November 20, 2010 at 06:33 PM

FIGHT, Erskine.... don't shoulder-check

Posted by tim daddy on November 15, 2010 at 11:10 AM

outstanding! no those are not love taps, slight edge to boulton

Posted by hawksfan81 on December 05, 2010 at 02:07 AM

Erskine threw some major punches, but he took what he gave out and then some, and in the end, couldn't take it anymore and pushed Boulton to the boards so the refs would break it up. Win Boulton.

Posted by piney on November 17, 2010 at 09:26 AM

like Boulton but Erskine wins. best fight this year

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on November 15, 2010 at 04:43 PM

That was a humdinger. Both fighters going for it. But i'm giving it to Johnny Erskine with the more damaging blows. One of the best fights of the year thus far.

Posted by dropkick25 on November 15, 2010 at 03:44 PM

AWESOME!Gave a slight edge to Erskine for landing a couple more bombs than Boulton...wish they were all that good!!!

Posted by Redzilla on November 14, 2010 at 09:25 PM

finally!

Posted by muskokadangler on November 15, 2010 at 04:16 PM

Some good reviews altho I fail to see how anybody who watches this more than once can give it to Bolton...That said OOOOOWWWWCH!!!!!!!!!! Big Johnny E throwing with Murderous intentions and connecting solidly on abunch!!!! GREAT FIGHT by BOTH WIN Big Johnny E!!!! There is NO Debate!!!! :)

Posted by Tape79 on November 16, 2010 at 11:01 PM

Best fight of the season so far....... I will give Big John the win just on number of quality shots but Boulton almost KO Erskine half way through.

Posted by erober7 on January 14, 2011 at 09:08 AM

Erskine had some more stream on those bombs

Posted by DetroitIan on November 16, 2010 at 12:27 PM

Great fight, but no way that was a draw. Erskine not only landed more shots, he landed bigger shots. Erskine with the win.

Posted by buschman on November 15, 2010 at 01:10 AM

Best fight I've seen in quite some time. I got to respect Boulton's chin. Props to Erskin for stepping up in a big way despite having concussion concerns. Fight was a 10, but got to give Erskine the edge as he landed the bigger shots.

Posted by Kid Roberts on November 14, 2010 at 10:24 PM

FOTY for sure. Erskine landed a few better shots, but man what a job by both !

Posted by Vinnieluvv on November 16, 2010 at 04:07 AM

Erskine with more quality shots for the W

Posted by billybish on November 14, 2010 at 10:10 PM

Great fight!

Posted by thehember on November 15, 2010 at 04:51 AM

I thought I saw the spit thing by Boulton too. That would explain Erskine's finish at the end. I think he did spit (classless) and that puts Erskine over the top. WOW WOW WOW!

Posted by skyywise on November 15, 2010 at 03:39 PM

Was at the game, 400s from the opposite side of the ice. I think more than anything, Erskine sparked the Caps and the crowd. The Caps were sloppy from excessive games, and the crowd was a little tame, possibly due to it being a kids night. Erskine's showing the the fight woke everyone up. I think that FOTY(SF) is an appropriate label for this tilt, cause it was just brilliant. I would almost call this a draw, but Erskine pushing Boulton into the boards by his neck to end things gives the slight edge to the home-ice player.

Posted by KHouston on November 15, 2010 at 05:13 PM

Close fight with the edge to Boulton. Nice slugfest. Geez, he was giving up 3 inches to Erskine. Gotta love Boult's heart.
