Mar 12, 2008 Calgary Flames Eric Godard
1pd 16:17 Washington Capitals John Erskine
Comments: Mike Green hits Dustin Boyd hard into the boards and Godard returns the favor by sending Green into the wall. Brooks Laich grabs Godard but quickly lets go once Erskine skates over. Godard and Erskine drop the gloves and tie each other up. They exchange a couple of early fights. Erskine throws two rights to the back of Godard's helmet before landing a pair of jersey-jabs. Erskine throws a short right followed by another that misses the target. They simultaneously throw rights and Godard connects with a shot that stuns Erskine. Godard then lands three unanswered rights before Erskine falls to the ice. Godard follows him down and the linesmen are there to break things up.

i voted TKO win for Godard on this one because it appears Godard hurt or at a minimum stunned Erskine with that first right bomb he landed. after that Erskine went into a shell and ate a few more....but that was one of the biggest punches i have seen in a while.

A good fight as Godard did it very well.
Erskine wasn't a bad in this one still.
Erskine early, but Godard strongly later.
Godard landed better punches, i think he maybe landed one too early on but Erskine threw more punches early on as Godad took 3-4 punches to the back of the head.
Godard got him down but more a bad balance to Erskine.
A clear win to E.Godard, not so easy win.

Goddard had two wicked clean shots. Erskine's face may be broken

Not even close. In fact, this feed sux, as the highlights I saw on Sportsnet showed the opposite angle -- Godard's face in rage, as he hammed Erskine with one right after another. Use the other feed!!!!! It was MUCH more brutal than what you are showing!!!

No chance, Godard KILLED this clown!

Godards a bad @$$! great punches, near knockout, nice fight! Erskine has to learn a little more defensive tactics before he starts getting at the upper tier of NHL heavies.

What a stylish enforcer Godard is. He drilled Erskine with three sweet rights then left the ice without any drama. That's how it ought to be done - regulate the problem then leave. Simple as that.

These douche bags that leave the ice trying to pump up the crowd only appeal to 12 year olds. I never saw Probert try to rally the crowd once, and he always set a great tone. Godard's not as great as Probert, but they're cut from the same cloth.
