Oct 25, 2007 Chicago Blackhawks David Koci
1pd 11:42 Boston Bruins Zdeno Chara
The two come together on the side of the Blackhawks net and the rest of the players on the ice pile in after them. They drop the gloves, grab ahold of each other, and skate away from the scrum. Chara throws three rights to start things off. Koci responds with one of his own. They each throw simultaneous rights and Chara gets knocked down. He gets back up and throws seven unanswered rights that include a mix of uppercuts and straight shots. The linesmen move in and break things up. Koci is bleeding all over the ice and has blood all over his face from a cut on the bridge of his nose.

Good scrap with both guys landing some good shots. Koci lands a bomb that buckles Chara at the same time Chara lands on Koci's cut nose from sat against Belak. Koci's cut is wide open and bleeding all over the ice. Old time hockey!

Damn that is a good old time hockey fight right on!! Koci got in one good hit and Chara looked like he was letting some built up aggression out.

Chara gets the win, but Koci is an animal. he just broke his nose/ got cut badly 2 days ago against Belak & he's still mixing it up with the big boys.

That's a lot of blood on the ice. Koci has no fear, win for Chara

what kind of dumbass fights with a two game old broken nose? I think the Red Cross met their quota for the next two years

Chara isnt a fighter, if Koci didnt already have a broken nose, or get hit in the nose this fight Chara looses. Koci knocked hit down, Chara rebroke his nose. Chara wins only on the basis of openening a healing cut.

Koci did not land one solid (HUTCH YOU ARE RIGHT), you better watch it from other angle folks. Chara was so dominating, itīs scary, great fight this one. Chara is monster!

When looking at the "reverse angle", you could clearly see that the punch by Koci which supposedly sent Chra down came up way short, and Chara just lost his balance from throwing that huge bomb. Huge win Chara.

I never saw the "bomb" that opened Koci. I also feel that the cut was only opened after helmet rubbed against it or right before the fight started a face wash might have done it. Chara is not a great fighter. And again, I'll bet anyone that Chara will never give Koci a rematch. He avoided Ivanans a few games back like he had to plague. What a douche nozzle. Let's see him fight McGratton or Larauque.

Koci, you are a brave man to fight Chara. A broken nose a couple of games ago and yet you fight again. This is as old school as it gets! This is a definite win for Chara, but Koci stayed in after being bloodied and hurt. It wasn't long before he was out on the ice again.
Good to see real men play hockey again!

It's a shame Chara doesnt drop em more. But obviously thats because he has loads of talent. But wow, Koci got his ass handed to him. Chara destroyed Koci.

That was almost a simultaneous KO, Koci took one right on the busted beak, and Chara was staggered. WOW!
