Face... meet... (as the legendary Dick Irvin used to say) ''Dasherboards''.

Sutton got what he deserved, after a questionable hit.
I'm just surprised that Erskine,
being the much superior fighter...
didn't absolutely destroy him, once it started.

That a boy Johnny...good team player.
Not usually a dirty player but Sutton crossed the line.
Erskine does a great job to send the message.
You can see the respect at the end...nice.
Edge Erskine.

I'm a John Erskine fan. Love that male-pattern baldness thing he has going on, too. He looks like an accountant, but he can throw. The hit was over the line, but not by much. Penalty, yes, but not enough to warrant a suspension or anything like that, IMO.

WOW i love erskine. very questionable hit, seemed like the cap was turning, but sutton should've let up for sure. erskine the great teammate, like always, gets in and takes care of business. i too thought that it was closer than i imagined it would be, especially reading a box score before i came here and seeing the instigator and misconduct, i thought erskine went and murdered someone. sutton did well, but erskine did weller. you could tell that erskine landed the one monster and felt that he had taken care of business sufficiently, and it ended. 7.

Hit wasnt that bad. Sutton could have really laid Hendricks out if that was his intent. Hendricks barely hit the boards. Erskine with the edge in the scrap.

great enforcing by John Erskine
/applause
i didnt think the hit was that bad, was from behind near boards but wasnt a hard one. a hard hit in that position could have killed/paralysed someone.. this was more like a push. anyway erskine didnt like it and he decided to tell his opinion. good work! also sutton answered the bell and showed up, props for that

Draw. Both had some good shots and a mutual hug to end.

John Eskrine sent a clear message to Andy Sutton here. You hit one of my teammates from behind, you have to answer to me. Eskrine landed more than Sutton and got the win. It was a decent fight.

ya gotta like Erskine...I always have since his junior days. He doesn't fight as often as he used to...doesn't have to now. He's turned into a decent dependable defenceman and here he showed he is still pretty good with the hands. Sutton is tough but that was a dirty hit and he deserved more of a beating. Edge to Johnny Erskine!!
