Sutton is much like a poor man's Hal Gill,
or a modern day version of Gilles Lupien
(for those of you who enjoy obscure 80's Hab references)...

i.e. behemoths with no punching power,
and even less technique.

Sutton with the yank-down...
followed by...
Volpatti with the knock-down,
and a nice hit to set things off.

Volpatti landed one right on the button that quickly dispatched big boy Sutton.

Sutton doesn't live up to expectations (same as his game), win Volpatti

Sutton got off to a decent start but Volpatti sneaks a crisp one in to send Andy down,
The second time looked like a slip or a pull down...

Andy Sutton has the size of Stu Grimson...but the heart of Cal Clutterbuck.

Sutton is the poorest excuse for a fighter given his size in the NHL next to Hal Gill. Boo Sutton !!!!!

Sutton hits hard but seems to have a glass jaw.

Wow. I wasn't expecting that out of Volpatti. That's 2 big guys in a row that he's dropped. Sutton used his 50 pounds of weight advantage to drag Volpatti to the ice but once Volpatti got loose he tagged Sutton twice and dropped him twice. I do worry about how open he fights, especially with his lack of size, but so far so good.

This will be a good rivalry for years to come between these two teams. Edmonton is going to have a great young team in the very near future. They've got more young talent on one line than what Calagary has had in the last 15 years. Battle of Alberta has been dead for 20 years and unless the Flamers get rid of some of their over priced geriatrics, then it will continue to be. I guess it's more a battle of the Rockies now. Oh well, Edmonton's been the laughing stock for the last 5 years so I guess it's Calgary's turn for the next......25 or so!
