Great fight. No holds bar all out swingfest. Awesome job by both combatants. Calling it a draw but could have leaned towards Nystrom on this tilt.

Posted by Humper on January 12, 2014 at 07:07 AM

I'm a Nystrom fan but I don't see that the love for him in the voting is warranted in this case. My observation is that in punches thrown, punches connected and punching effectiveness it was a dead heat. And a pretty good fight.

Posted by MnHockeycoach99 on January 12, 2014 at 11:35 PM

I gotta give this tilt a draw. The crappier ... er scrappier Nystrom seemed to get in more shots.. but it looked like Greening landed more solid punches. Decent bout either way...

Good bought ,I scored it a 7 and a draw!

Posted by KnockoutDan on January 12, 2014 at 05:23 PM

Nystrom goes after Greening thinking this will be an easy one.....lol Ends up being a great fight! I'm calling this one a draw.

Posted by eyeno on January 12, 2014 at 12:10 PM

good tilt some good bombs landed by both

Posted by nojjon on January 12, 2014 at 12:04 AM

Very good scrap, I didn't think Greening would do this well. Too close to call a draw.

Posted by Koma on January 11, 2014 at 10:10 PM

Good fight, draw both had good hits both fought well.

Posted by Mick7 on January 13, 2014 at 08:27 PM

Not often I'll jump in to defend a Senator, but all these comments about Nystrom "start to finish?" Come on…Greening was in it all the way. Great fight. Going draw.

Baldy greening doing his best impression of Mark Dyrzinski, getting his ass handed to him. Nystrom beat the tar out of baldy here. hey Fatdog, have ya seen Mark Dyrzinski lately? has he been up'd to grade 3 level yet? have a heart attack, fatman...Woof Woof!

Posted by staceyb on January 12, 2014 at 06:47 AM

Okay, so Nystrom takes the fight. But Greening has lots better hair.

Posted by BennyD on January 13, 2014 at 09:52 AM

EN lands the best right of the fight and Greening seemed un-fazed by it. Very close win for Nystrom, and a 6+ for the entertainment value.

Posted by boldbilly on January 12, 2014 at 09:39 AM

Wow that was a great scrap.......edge goes to Nystrom he landed a few more and also quality shots......Greening loses a close one and accounts well for himself......scored it a solid 7

Posted by shawn46 on January 12, 2014 at 02:49 PM

Geez..... Colin, hair club for men is calling and the would like to re-seed the back 40...

Great fight.

Posted by The Mad House on January 12, 2014 at 12:36 AM

Great job, boys. They were throwing them toe to toe with complete disregard for their faces. W to Nystrom, he's pretty good.

Posted by bigdog2007 on January 11, 2014 at 09:55 PM

Good fight. I would give it to Nystrom. No fear in either fighter Hey, whats that smell? It's Toronto, Ottawa's toilet!! Ottawa leap frogs the Maple Laffs as they plummet in the standings.....Ahhhhhhh life is sweet. Woof!!

Posted by nathan_kimmett on January 12, 2014 at 09:38 AM

Good job by both.

Posted by fight-fan on January 12, 2014 at 04:04 PM

Good fight, I wish more of them were like this, just swing for the fences. Edge Nystrom for better accuracy and landing a few more.

Posted by jimmat on January 12, 2014 at 08:39 PM

Nystrom with the win and a 7. Pops must be proud. Greening showed a lot of heart, one of those shots would have dropped a lot of other dudes.

Posted by Biggus on January 13, 2014 at 06:40 PM

Wow. Rock 'em sock 'em. Going with Nystrom.

Posted by Snoka on January 12, 2014 at 10:17 AM

Rare victory for Nystrom

Posted by paddyd on January 12, 2014 at 01:09 PM

That would be a Draw

Posted by EK65 on January 11, 2014 at 11:26 PM

Win Nystrom.. over Ryan Getzlafs scalp doppelganger

Posted by Hilaker on January 11, 2014 at 10:58 PM

Good bout by both. I give it to Nystrom but close.

Posted by atexpal on January 12, 2014 at 11:58 AM

Nystrom improving as a fighter. Played on Dallas 4th line and didn't scrap much until last year and was mostly ineffective. Was destroyed by Tanner Glass, came back to handle himself well against McQuaid and in this takes on a visored player, eventually lifts the lid and does the most damage. Close fight though but I think Nystrom gets the nod!

Posted by bigmike53 on January 12, 2014 at 12:42 AM

Nystrom with the win in a very good scrap. Kudos for Greening to answer the call and he handled himself well.

Posted by DARCY T on January 12, 2014 at 04:35 AM

i dont think they landed much but im sure nystrom landed at least 2 solid punches and therefore im giving him the edge

Posted by Lucic_Power on January 12, 2014 at 01:16 AM

Greening more accurate...and he's not bald. (lol) W Greening

Posted by tyrone on January 14, 2014 at 12:10 AM

Eric "I wanna be as tough as my daddy" wins his first fight of the year and hoots and hollers as he skates away, prolly having the "Big O" because he didn't get KO'd. When you read this Mr. Nystrom, just remember that Mr. Glass had class when he nearly killed you. That crap is minor league stuff and is best displayed by Jon Mirasty, an AHL'er at best, not an NHL'er.

Nysrom settles the argument on whether or not there is a place for Clune on the roster. Unfortunately, according to the boss man, offensively-challenged grit > talent. Great scrap.

lil bob with w and an 8

NYSTROM from start to stop

Nystrom domination

Posted by Great Murray on January 13, 2014 at 10:24 AM

Goons...you need to get over it. The NHL has mandated visors...its a done deal now. Great fight. Wish my team, the Bolshoi Red WIngs, had either of these guys! So does Datsyuk and Zetterberg! Nystrom with a slight edge.

Posted by Mosie Ledbetter on January 15, 2014 at 01:59 PM

Slight edge to Nystrom based on his early successes, but Greening held his own. Lotta punches thrown by both, a few more of Nystrom's seemed to connect.

Posted by djsedna on January 12, 2014 at 03:42 PM

Great bout... edge Nystrom; he landed a few real big ones. Greening was in there the whole time, though.

Posted by doobi1 on January 12, 2014 at 10:11 AM

Nice scrap. Greening paid for the kidney punches now, didn't he?

Posted by EL01 on January 12, 2014 at 07:33 AM

Nystrom really enjoyed himself and the crowd response. He is always a hard worker on the ice... giving it his all and it shows in this scrap.

Posted by jokersmith on January 12, 2014 at 10:43 AM

Good bout, lots of swings and misses and connections. Better then the usual wrestling match.

Nystrom from start to finish great job by both

Posted by traveller on January 12, 2014 at 05:23 PM

Pretty even fight I thought ducked under a couple punch's and all of his were connecting

Posted by KW1990 on January 11, 2014 at 10:35 PM

Toe to Toe...edge to Greening

Posted by TBLabrie on January 11, 2014 at 11:57 PM

Good Scrap but the edge to Nystrom.

Posted by kkdowning on January 12, 2014 at 10:34 AM

Good fight, edge Nystrom. Eric must wish he had Bobby's hair.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on January 12, 2014 at 12:09 AM

Nystrom landed some bombs! Props to both guys in this dandy.

Posted by Behn Wilson on January 12, 2014 at 06:50 AM

Nystrom with the expected edge... but "Colin Balding" actually manages to put on a surprisingly competitive showing in an entertaining fight between two guys who seemed to be quite genuinely pissed at each other

Posted by sedinfan on January 12, 2014 at 12:09 AM

Wow, that was a good one. Got to go with a draw when two guys stand like that and go toe to toe.

Posted by Massive Coiler on January 11, 2014 at 09:30 PM

Pretty good bout, both guys were really trying to do some damage. Nystrom looked better than he has compared to his other fights this year, and I'd give him the win. Intense go, I'll give it a 7.

Posted by ETR on January 12, 2014 at 10:17 AM

Great fight, deserve more than the 7.4 rating it's at while I write this. Edge to Nystrom for a little better accuracy and more activity. Who let the broad in the broadcast booth? She win a contest to get on TV?

Posted by King of Goons on January 12, 2014 at 07:34 PM

Bobby Nystrom's kid with the obvious win over visor boy. Take the visor off, ...f*g.
