Lots of talk, very little balance

Posted by lovejoy on April 14, 2011 at 02:59 AM

draw, crap fight

Posted by wallysy1 on April 14, 2011 at 12:16 AM

how can anyone give this fight a winner? one guy falls the other guys falls on top and there is a punch thrown in there somewhere. is one glancing punch actually a win?

Posted by Mackyboy on April 14, 2011 at 12:31 PM

Nothing worth saying about this one!

Posted by boxerlavean5 on April 14, 2011 at 12:45 AM

worst fight i've ever seen. Draw. who the hell is voting for Bertuzzi? you're retarded

Posted by Spanky_Jazz on April 15, 2011 at 05:33 PM

I'm still confused as to why Bertuzzi's still in the NHL.

Posted by Whiskeysludge on April 14, 2011 at 12:48 PM

Bertuzzi's not so tough when the other guy is looking at him...

Posted by slavv on April 14, 2011 at 08:40 PM

Bertuzza is a piece of work. never mind that this was not a fight, this was almost not even a wrestling match it was so bad...

Posted by Lafouine12 on April 16, 2011 at 10:26 PM

its not a fight ...

Posted by Wildbill63mn on April 14, 2011 at 10:34 PM

Thats not a fight and to bad Bertuzzi didn't crack his head open, he shouldn't even be skating!

Posted by Stevie-Mac on April 14, 2011 at 10:03 AM

That was a far cry from the Bertuzzi fights of the past. I guess he is just a different player now. Good sign for the Wings...they need some guys to spark some emotion.

Posted by mobious666 on May 22, 2011 at 10:49 PM

what happened to thier balence?! as a wings fan I never get to see a lot of fights so I got really excited to see bert drop the gloves only to see bolth guys fall down instantly!

Posted by Jellyczar on April 14, 2011 at 11:10 AM

Draw,,,, 44 lost his edge on his double runners .... Whatever...

Posted by b.t.wilson on April 14, 2011 at 12:32 AM

The first fight of the playoffs is a Red Wing and a Winnipeg Coyote. I'm going draw here, too bad. I agree could've been good, but wasn't. Happy to see Big Babe being a mean bastard again though. In happier news, 4-0 Preds and out goes swiss cheese Ellis. Good times tonight. 2.

Posted by bugner on April 18, 2011 at 06:11 AM

glad to see bertuzzi fighting again.

Posted by shuckthefarks on April 14, 2011 at 09:45 AM

Draw. Not much of a fight. Bert has upped the class in his fighting style. Hit the guy when he's down.....but at least they were looking at each other. Sorry Wings fans....YOU STILL DO NOT HAVE A LEGIT ENFORCER!

Posted by fernben8 on April 21, 2011 at 04:23 PM

The Bertuzzi of old... Sh!t happens Bert...play on mate ! The Wings need ya !!

Posted by johnnyrock555 on April 15, 2011 at 06:05 PM

To whoever woke Bertuzzi up, Thank you

rematch from 08/09...draw

Posted by staceyb on April 14, 2011 at 06:02 AM

Next time bring the dueling pistols.

Posted by grrbronco81 on April 14, 2011 at 09:23 PM

Unfortunately, this is the extent of the fighting your going to see out of the Red Wings, especially in the playoffs, unless one of the games gets ugly.

Posted by drjones on April 14, 2011 at 02:43 PM

Draw. Hey Bosoxshute, .. Still ain't over that your bitch Moore got what was coming to him..Get over it.

Posted by efp on April 15, 2011 at 03:36 AM

All the hate against Bertuzzi, most of you probably think Michael Vick paid for his crimes and he's ok. USING Penguin logic, if your cyndi crosby you jump someone who is unsuspecting and using malkin you just jump a non-fighter from behind. Finally if your goddard you just get your face smeared all over the ice becuase your finger hurts after you broke a nail. Nobody cares about Phoenix because they had the worst PP all season and whats to change now? Tippet's mediocre coaching skills will get them to the second round? The penguins are going nowhere, AGAIN. Looks they had a few good years and it's over. They got there arena and Mario got his money so why put forth an effort?

Posted by mbaumann on April 14, 2011 at 04:12 PM

Crap. Hey Dr. Jones, only a moron would ever defend a scumbag like Bertuzzi. He should have been kicked out of the league for what he did to Moore. I hope Bertuzzi breaks his leg in the playoffs. Just a complete d-bag.

Posted by Detroit_Caps on April 14, 2011 at 07:29 AM

Welcome back BERT!!!! heh that should be 5 for receiving and and a failed turtle attempt. . .Bert should of given him another jab.

Posted by bruins rule on April 14, 2011 at 08:12 AM

not much going on here.

Posted by GreatMurray on April 15, 2011 at 07:09 AM

Bert lands one and was the only one that looked like he wanted to fight He wins...gets the Wings going to,. Last dance for him maybe? Hope he has decided to be what the Wing's need. Been playing way to soft because of the Moore thing.

Posted by Behn Wilson on April 14, 2011 at 12:03 AM

44 looked fairly ''24-ish'' there for a second, at least until the punch, and bail segment. Nonetheless, even if the opponent was named Rostislav... I think we can all agree that a Wing fighting in the playoffs... is like Avery winning the Lady Byng, and an omen of good things to come for the team that ''19'' built..

Posted by steve49684 on April 20, 2011 at 11:51 PM

Berts more all around play helps lift wings and will be a bigger help going forward if he's willing to drop the gloves again. Bert can kick ass if/when he gets po'd enough. Look out if you do.

Posted by gongermuskegon on April 14, 2011 at 12:02 AM

Like in Nashville, big burt lifts the wings to another victory. I love that the big bad burt, that murdered moore two hundred years ago, finally came out of his shell and put on his big boy pants. Burt and a fast 3

Posted by KK67 on April 14, 2011 at 03:54 PM

If Bertuzzi doesn't trip at the start of the fight he would have hurt Kleska.

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on April 13, 2011 at 10:57 PM

At least a fight occurred

Posted by phantomplan on April 13, 2011 at 11:02 PM

Wish the refs wouldn't have broken this up. It's good to see Bert becoming an enforcer with some grit again. The Wings will need that intensity during the playoffs. (Bert gets a win for me b/c he closelined the s*** out of this guy before the fight ever started lol)

Posted by mr hockey on April 16, 2011 at 10:12 PM

you suck bertuzzi you piece of crap ahahahaha

Posted by woodape on April 15, 2011 at 01:07 AM

Klesla wins. Why you ask? Watch the video. Klesla did nothing and Bertuzzi ended up taking himself down. Win Klesla.

Posted by PENGUINSCUP09 on April 13, 2011 at 11:42 PM

Using redwing and hab fan logic: The player on top; always ends up the WINNER! Plus the bloody forehead on Attack-from-behinduzzi; gives the WIN to the Coyote. AAAAAAAWOOOOOOOOOOOO

Posted by AZfromNJ on April 15, 2011 at 12:11 AM

Bertuzzi USED to be a tough guy. Lucky Rusty didn't take his head off....and then Bert with the cheap shot on the ground. That's the way this guy rolls.....sad. Yotes are staying in PHX, sorry Peggers

Posted by tocchetblue on April 15, 2011 at 08:00 AM

bertuzzi is a punk

Posted by Bosoxshute on April 14, 2011 at 08:55 AM

You could tell right away that candy ass Bertuzzi didn't want to fight Klesla. He basically fell down on purpose and pulled Klesla down on top. When will someone just end this guys career. Playoffs would be a great time to do it. I'm rooting for a cross check into the goal post, or better yet a puck to the dome. If something doesn't happen to Bertuzzi during his playing career, mark my words something will "go down" post-career. Karma is a bitch and it's going to catch up with that sac of shit sooner or later.

Posted by flanagon on April 14, 2011 at 09:11 AM

If you are a wings fan this is a big deal... any other team its a 1 and a draw

Posted by BritishRedWing on April 14, 2011 at 03:22 PM

The fight was a draw, but this was a statement, obviously not Probert-Grimson, but Bertuzzi showing that the Wings are not going to be just pushed around again. Some of you geniuses point out that the Wings have no enforcer, think a win is when you fall on top of your oppo, and other plums of wisdom. EVERYBODY knows the Wings have been soft. Hopefully this is the start of a grittier effort. And for those of you who say, "this isn't worth commenting about", please spare us and just don't bloody comment!

God, I can't stand Darren Pang...

Posted by chad420 on April 14, 2011 at 02:20 PM

Bertuzzi trips over Rusty Griswald and gets 5 for fighting

Posted by RedWings11Cups on April 13, 2011 at 11:52 PM

Had potential to be a great fight. They both got in one good punch, so i'll call it a draw

Posted by travist on April 13, 2011 at 10:20 PM

love the fire bertuzzi has been playing with the last couple of weeks. detroit needs more grit and toughness (seems like that is an annual montra).

Posted by Snoka on April 14, 2011 at 03:45 PM

Surprised Bertuzzi didn't take him from behind seeing as Bertuzzi likes taking guys from behind.
