Looks like everyone was at Hooters watching the Rangers game. BM looked like he was undressing RK to grab his hooters. Not even close.

This was a beatdown

I realize there are a lot of excuses, the early start, facing a less-than-exciting opponent, MLB playoffs, etc, etc, etc...but that was the emptiest looking arena since I went to a ECHL game. Really sad. Win Morrow, "a wise-guy eh? nyuck nycuk"

Will be glad when the new ownership shows up.. i heard about a possible boycott by season ticket holder until that happens... but geez that is bad

What the hell is with nobody being at the game? Maybe it's time to move Dallas too. Along with Phoenix as well. Fight sucked, fights have been pretty bad to start out this year.

Euro trash vs Sask farm boy. Predictable manhandling.

mrunohoo, I unfortunately agree with you. Shameful. Not enough people that care when the going is tough. Easy to make excuses to go when the product is good. Easy to make excuses not to go when the product is not or rebuilding. Organization was hoping for at least a small spike with no NBA, so far, not so much.

It was a 5pm game, and the Rangers were playing at home. Morrow for the win. I was at opening night and the seats were near full.

Does anyone go to the games anymore in Dallas??

Posted by Behn Wilson on October 10, 2011 at 10:06 PM

I wouldn't go as far as ''potato-sacked''????.... but that looked like a classic example of the ol' one-two. Low-light of the fight was the scary amount of empty seats half way through the second period. I realize that it's a Monday game, early in the season, and the Yotes aren't exactly a big draw, or even a slight rival... but Holy Atlanta, Dallas!

win morrow in short fight.klesla went to defensive mode straight away.gave it 4...i think morrow got pissed off with klesla cos he doesnt fight "as often as he used to" as strangis mentioned.glad to see good old brenden and sadly, yes, the amount of empty seats is scary

Morrow got two for the cross-check that launched the so-called fight. The announced attendance was 6,306. The AHL Houston Aeros drew 9,117 for their Sunday night season opener against the Chicago Wolves. I wish Commissioner Buttman would consider a Houston-Dallas NHL rivalry.

morrow gets the win in this fight.

Morrow's last Right, That's what you would call..." Leaning into it ! "

Posted by gongermuskegon on October 10, 2011 at 11:57 PM

Well Mr. Wilson you stole my thunder... Morrow obviously getting a commission check for each seat sold and he has rent to make...needless to say he's a little upset Morrow and a half full 4

Posted by ColonelAngus on October 10, 2011 at 10:25 PM

The game started at 5pm local time. Ridiculous. I didn't even get off work until after the 2nd period had started.

All Morrow.

One-two and down... Morrow is a tough old bird.

Posted by bluesrule08 on October 11, 2011 at 09:51 AM

hahahaha look at all the fans in dallas. those fans have nothing to root for, dallas is awful.

You have to admire your captian who handles his own business. Now that the soft guys are out of Dallas they may be ok.

Nice last smash from morrow;)

Almost a KO. Morrow should not have gotten a cross checking penalty...that was just his way of offering a bout. Klesla cross checked Morrow first. Morrow demolished Klesla. Fighting School is at 9:00 AM Saturday morning Rosti...you need to go.

Posted by Oil Can Henry on October 10, 2011 at 11:53 PM

...2 minutes each for roughing,.....( or delay of game ),....take yer' pick,....

Posted by Spazemunky on October 10, 2011 at 09:53 PM

Posted by kkdowning on October 12, 2011 at 01:59 AM

For everyone commenting on the crowd. You guys need to realize two things. The Texas Rangers are in the playoffs and had a game the same night. The game started at 5 pm local time. Unless you're a bum, were off for Columbus day, or somehow managed to get out of work early then you weren't making this game. Most people weren't leaving work until after the game had already started. Terrible time to start a game and a huge mistake.

Would love someone to take Morrow out with a knee to knee shot this year. He's an over-rated punk.
