Should have a lettering system for scoring instead of a numbering system. This would get a "P", for Pathetic ,of course! But why should this be any different than their first embarrassing waste of time??? Even when a Detroit player finally drops the gloves, it still doesn't constitute a fight...

Have to give this one to Bertuzzi as well as he was the only one to try to throw anything. Once again, O'Brien unwisely turns his back to Bertuzzi. Easy Wings fans....this is by no means any indication that the Wings have a tough guy.

note to ob: when you get drilled in the back of the head repeatedly while fighting. you are doing it wrong dumbass.

Posted by ogie ogiltorpe on April 06, 2011 at 10:33 AM

Yes, O"Brien put himself in a bad position....twice against the same guy....dum-dum

Posted by mmadced on April 03, 2011 at 03:35 PM

Two terrible fights by 2 terrible fighters on 2 teams that have no fighters to speak. Can't rate a nonfight event draw.........

Posted by ndeciant on April 04, 2011 at 01:21 PM

Anyone know why Bert was going after OB? Bert dropped the gloves from 10 feet away both times... something must have happened

Posted by bodgertime on April 05, 2011 at 12:25 AM

what is the point of these two " fights " bertuzzi again hits o'brien in the back of the head. O'Brien does nothing. bertuzzi takes him down...again,,, and then doesn't seem to want to get off of him. again what is it, a sleepover ? these guys should go line dancing. this is not fighting where people bleed and throw punches just bear hugs and noogies. they have disgraced the #s 44 and 55. LAME !

Both fights sucked. I'm not sure what the Wings fans are looking at but this was not a beat down by any stretch. What the hell was OBrien waiting for anway. Maybe he was hoping to trip over his own stick and go down right off the get.

Posted by pinpin on April 03, 2011 at 10:24 AM

I was 3 rows up from where this 2nd fight took place there was a tv time out o brien skated to bertuzzi at mid ice basically said when they drop the puck we gonna go bertuzzi shook his had said im game! The puck drops bertuzzi drops gloves skates directly backwards into the boards the shane had a weird approach skating up with his stick and gloves still on basically tripped himself just a weird go all 2 gether im my opinion.Tootoo would have been nice 2 have in this game cause abdenkader was running everyone and of course he wouldnt drop em with weber or obrien he tried to get erat to go lol.

Posted by Behn Wilson on April 03, 2011 at 07:39 AM

Wow...you'd think after his first ''iffy'' performance, that O'Brien would have been a little more careful, the next time out. I'd love to celebrate the fact that a Red Wing just won two fights in the same game, but it's never really a ''feel good'' victory, if your opponent is, seemingly, retarded. LOL at O'Brien's embarrassing, self-inflicted boarding to start things off.

Posted by kryon24 on April 04, 2011 at 10:05 AM

Christ o mighty, Detoilet gets in maybe 5 fights all year and these a hole cameramen can't keep up. Not once but twice!! BerSnoozie nuggies her to death again then tries to horizontal bop her, probably surprised that he was facing him. Obeewan kanobee must have known it is the end of the season as he just looked so uninterested. Hugging win for BerSnoozey.

Posted by b.t.wilson on April 03, 2011 at 11:04 PM

O'Brien does himself no favours here the way he came in. Doo doo doodoodoodoo doo doo doo doo (circus music, okay?) Bertuzzi has the strength of a gorilla, what there was of a fight, he took. 3.

Posted by staceyb on April 03, 2011 at 08:36 AM

The loser O'Brien could be heard singing that C&W favorite, "My wife ran off with my best friend and I miss him." Or was that "If you won't leave me alone I'll find somebody who will."

Posted by nighthawk walt on April 03, 2011 at 11:31 AM

O'Brien with a nice impersonation of a punching bag!Bertuzzi with total domination in the 2 fights.

Posted by bruins rule on April 03, 2011 at 08:11 AM

todd gets the win in this fight.

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on April 03, 2011 at 11:07 AM

Bert x2

Posted by Willy WILL on April 03, 2011 at 10:18 AM

Weak.... that all....weak.... Win Bertuzzi

Posted by sedinfan on April 03, 2011 at 11:21 AM

It was only two years ago that O'Brein was with us Canucks, and although he was no heavyweight champ, he did very well with many of his scraps, showed some moxy and was a fan favorite. I am not sure what to think of these two performances, he looked like a scared rookie. Disappointing to say the least, I think we might have had a good scrap or two if he wasn't hanging on for dear life.

Posted by LA KING FANATIC on April 04, 2011 at 04:53 PM

LOL Ok, and the reason you asked for seconds was? OBrien, You suck... One punch and you are down...How embarassing you are. And you bring what to your team? Win Bertuzzi with a punch to the back of the head as usual

Posted by DARCY T on April 08, 2011 at 08:53 AM

win bertuzzi in this fight.gave it 4

Posted by Aaron Walnuts on April 03, 2011 at 03:07 AM

Don't mess with the wily vet.

Posted by orr4president on April 03, 2011 at 03:54 AM

"efp" showing he clearly had a bad experience in nashville some time... O'Brien loses a lot of pride tonight with two poor showings

Posted by tattooedkingpin on April 03, 2011 at 10:56 AM

another win for Big Bert. I could get used to this

Posted by Bosoxshute on April 03, 2011 at 10:10 AM

I hope Bertuzzi breaks his neck first game first round of the playoffs. That would be poetic justice.

Posted by trubba on April 04, 2011 at 12:02 PM

here's a pointer....try facing your opponent, O'Brien. both wins Bert.

Posted by efp on April 03, 2011 at 02:22 AM

O'Brian an enforcer, really? Please! This guy is an ECHL or AHL player at best. I don't think he could fight with Parros or Scott. Nashville just leave the NHL already! No one cares about your team. You all love college football even though most of you never graduated from high school. Why? Go have sex with your sisters!

Posted by PUMMELED on April 03, 2011 at 04:24 AM

Hahaha, O'Brien is a BITCH!

Posted by GreatMurray on April 03, 2011 at 08:39 AM

Just a repeat of the first one. O'Brien must of thought the first one was an anomaly. If O'Brien tried to stand and throw he would gotten destroyed. Once Bertuzzi layed hands on him, O'Brien figured out that the strength issues were going to be too much for him. Easy win and he should get one of the Stars for getting his boys back in the game. EFP you have a problem....at least the folks in the South usually know who their fathers are. The only thing you got right was the expletive you used referencing the President.

Posted by kurthoward on April 03, 2011 at 10:31 AM

O'brien...you can't fight! Come to think about it, you suck at hockey too!

Posted by Redbush on April 03, 2011 at 07:49 AM

i must be dreaming. 2 fights from detroit!

Posted by fernben8 on April 03, 2011 at 02:43 PM

My favorite definition of 'Insanity' is : Doing something the same way twice and expecting a different result... I feel Bertuzzi has never been the same since the Moore incident but good to know he can still take care of himself. No contest.

Posted by roaddogg02316 on April 03, 2011 at 09:39 AM

O'Brien used to think he was tough in Portland. Now that he is in the NHL he is a joke. He didn't even want to initially drop the gloves. If he felt he got jumped in that first fight why was he so reluctant to drop them the next chance. It was right off the face off so there was no jumping him there. He loses both fights.

Posted by Detroit_Caps on April 03, 2011 at 10:33 AM

. . .damn , , , ,thats twice. Ill need to check the standings, but this could be a fun series

Posted by cppalermo on April 05, 2011 at 09:24 AM

when Bertuzzi gets mad...heads will roll. O'brien quickly realized he was in over his head.

Posted by bigbaddad53 on April 03, 2011 at 10:53 AM

That is what we need from Bert. Tough great hockey Bert is back. So are Red Wings

Posted by ThrowdownSJ408 on April 03, 2011 at 04:32 AM

hahahahaha again....

Posted by PENGUINSCUP09 on April 03, 2011 at 03:55 AM

This is considered a dominant redwing win in a fight LOL wings radio play-by-play announcers Ken Kal and Paul Woods were ranting and raving on what a "stunning" victory this was for Bertuzzi. They both mentioned on how Bertuzzi dominated O"Brian and "rained" 5-6 punches to the back of O'Brians helmet. They declared a clear and decisive WIN Bertuzzi in the "fight of the year" LOL LOL ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!! Only in detroit........

Posted by flanagon on April 03, 2011 at 01:31 PM

Another Redwing style fight ... Bert try to go backside, again, on OB

Posted by bobnhockeyhell on April 06, 2011 at 04:28 PM

WTF.Where do you guys get Bertuzzi won?How by throwing O'Brien to the ice.A guy wins when he lands more punches or puts the guy down with a punch. This is Hockweyfights not Hockeywrestling.

Posted by dorian on April 03, 2011 at 09:20 AM

Ugh. Again a non-fight. Yet Bertuzzi manages to get a punch in while his opponent is falling to the ice. Good ol' Bertuzzi.

Posted by chad420 on April 04, 2011 at 11:56 AM

pretty weak..win Bert&Ernie

Posted by samtheman on April 04, 2011 at 01:55 AM

After a weak showing in the first fight, O'Brien goes with the strategy of turning his back to Bertuzzi. Back to the drawing board...

Posted by Nesquik on April 03, 2011 at 03:51 PM

Deja vu.

Posted by Bahjay on April 03, 2011 at 02:31 AM

This makes me laugh more with each viewing. Watching the extended replay is a must as O'Brien wins the "worst approach to a fight" award by skating himself right into the boards and almost tripping on his own stick. I'm sure there will be better scraps at the Roxy tonight!!

Posted by muskokadangler on April 03, 2011 at 09:24 AM

wtf I'm not sure what took obrian so long to drop the mitts by I'm thinking the Tuzz still commands a lot of respect for his fistic abilities ......at least from OB he does 2 fights.... 2 ...I really don't want to be doing this from OB

Posted by viper480 on April 03, 2011 at 09:20 AM

That punch may have caught the helmet but I bet it still hurt.
