stortini looked like a bantam against the giant. waste of everyone's time, esp boogard's.

Stortini was out of his league on this one. He was game to try but that doesn't count toward anything. Boog only threw two real punches but they were enough to put Stortini on his knees.

Stortini bit off more than he could chew but i think the refs shouldve let it continue as he got back up and still couldve done some damage

Once again the Boogaard apologists come out. It's okay to hit a guy who is down if he talks too much. Or is it okay when he goes to a knee? Maybe it's just okay when this big goof does it. Just like every other fighter who ever lived, Boogaard's time will come, and let's see if he gets punched while on his knees. You guys will be screaming like crazy.

What's Stortini trying to prove?.....
Maybe the fact that the Coilers should get themselves a legit scrapper in the off season, because if that's the best they can line- up against other scrappers, then they are in rough shape.

Boogard - not close BUT Boogard is lame for hitting a guy when he is down. This isn't a street fight its hockey and you don't pull that crap. Your an idiot or a homer if you think thats part of the game. Almost as lame as throwing punches when the linesmen have your opponents arms tied up and your still throwing haymakers.

Points for bravery just for trying, but there are heavyweights and there are HEAVYWEIGHTS. Stortini should stick to the Tuckers of the world.

Run Stortini run! oh too late. Boogaard's 8 foot arms got ya. I hate Stortini he's one of the worst fighters in the league. Nice to see him get pounded so easily.

Stortini had to be thinking, "WTF did I get myself into?"

A walk in the park for Boogaard.

Sissy Stortini just proved he is at best a middle weight and does not belong with the big boys! He looked terrible in this one!

Stortini deserves respect for dropping the gloves against the most dangerous fighter in the league. He threw a few jabs and didn't try to hug him. I can't believe people are calling him a coward for covering up when he was down. He was wide open if he didn't. What did you want him to do - become the next Fedoruk? If he didn't drop them people would have called him a coward. He drops them and doesn't try to hug him and he still gets knocked. Unbelievable. The problem is that there are too many people on this site that have never played hockey or have never been in a hockey fight.

I'm not an Edmonton fan and I am not really a Stortini fan, but at least the guy shows up. Most top heavyweights won't even fight Boogaard. There are alot of UFA tough guys this summer and Edmonton should sign one and then maybe Stortini can focus on the middleweights.
