Comments: The two run into one another near the blueline and decide to drop the gloves. They grab ahold of each other and Gratton throws two rights with one connecting to start things off. Stortini comes back with a right of his own and then rips Gratton's helmet off. Gratton throws a jersey-jab and they then go back and forth with rights. Gratton throws an overhand right and follows that up with some uppercuts while Stortini is bent over. Stortini's helmet falls off and he ditches his elbow pad as well while Gratton throws a few jersey-jabs. Gratton then gets Stortini turned around and gets in two long rights. Stortini gets back into position and answers with two rights. Gratton returns fire with a right. They then exchange jersey-jabs and Stortini misses with a right cross after that. Gratton connects with another right and they decide to hold on until the linesmen skate in and intervene.

Good scrap. Stortini has a lot to learn but looks like he could be a contender in the future. Gratton connected more and thus gets the edge.

very one sided bout that was entertaining but if Gratton is in a fight you know its going to be entertaining

Stortini defense was brutal he's going to have to learn fast cause the punching bag thing won't keep you in the NHL for long

Stortini in clam sauce took a pop early. He recovered a little and got back into it just a little bit which is admirable, but Gratton made him look bad. Stortini has looked good in some fights but not this one.

Nice win for Gratton. He overwhelms Stortini, tagging him several times in a long fight. Credit Stortini for taking his lumps and not bailing but he was beaten badly. He did land a couple decent rights to no effect but just got windmilled.

Lackluster fight that was uneventful at best...Gratton did get in a left at the end of the fight because Stortini was spending so much time and effort on trying to shed his right elbow pad. This was a draw.

Gratton with the biggest punches and the win. Stortini's lucky Gratton doesn't have a knockout punch. He left himself so open a couple of times I shudder to think what Boogard would have done to him.

good fight for two rookies, gratton landed some solid punches, especially 2 jersey jabs that stunned stortini. didnt really look like stortini was doing much damage

These guys know each other well... they both played junior in the OHL with the Sudbury Wolves.
Don't give up on Stortini yet... he's worked with Troy Crowder to develop his skills.

I'd have to give both guys credit. Gratton landed some nice uppercuts, but Stortini just hung in there. Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if both guys weren't completely exhausted. Pretty decent fight though.

Not even close. Stortini was man-handled in this one. Maybe should spend more time in the minors.
