thornton is a gamer. hung in there really well despite taking at least three huge pounders to the noggin. nice of brash to ease up at the end, he knew thornton was at the end of his fight rope. lot of people rip on brash for whatever reason, but dude is strong as hell. and throws heavy punches. throws with the forearm, not the fist. probert was the first to master that technique

Slight edge Brashear in a close bout.

Do you guys in Boston watch all the games with the sound off? Because these announcers would make me throw my t.v. out a window.

Most of Brashear's punches were big looping hooks, while Thornton was inches from his face. After all these years, doesn't he realize those hooks are only hitting the back of the head of the guy he's so close to. I did like how they both started out with jabs. You don't see that much.

brashear with the hug and pull, not pretty but it works for him.

Brash is too much for Thornton, but the smaller guy hung in there.

Whoa....what?! How could anyone say there was a winner in this scrap? Lots of punches thrown...not much landing but it was a solid fight. That's definitely a draw if I've ever seen one. I'm surprised Thornton hung in there because Brash is a lot to handle but an even fight for sure.

win brashear? he was throwing air hooks the whole time he landed but ONE punch square... thornton landed more to start for starting strong and holding brash off and not getting hit with anything of substance...win thornton

okay, first of all, the FLYERS announcers are the absolute WORST in the league (with Boston and Edmonton a close second and third). Best punch of this fight was the right cross by Brash before they tied up at the beginning. Win Brash.

i hope thornton is a lefty because he couldnt throw a right to save his life he made brashear look soo good in that fight all donald does is throw none stop and it makes him look like the winner never ever lands punches and when he does there all to the back of sumones head thornton could of demolished him all he had to do was start throwin rights .. shiet fight
