wow. I hate Neil but he absolutely earned alot of respect from everybody for this. He manned up fought the best heavyweight, took his best punches and even landed a bomb at the end. Obviously a win for brash, but neil must have earned a ton of respect around the league for this.

Saw the game live. Brashear was challenged many times by McGrattan and Brash walked away!!!! Then after a clean hit by Neil on Backstrom, Brash wanted Neil. Neil is Ottawas middle weight... McGrats is the heavyweight. I like Brash but was very dissapointed he wallked away from two strong attempts by McGrats. Don Cherry according to insiders had at most 4 fights a year in his playing days in the AHL for the Rochester Americans. He was a spare part when it came to the rough stuff and the teams he played on had a real bull for a fighter in RED ARMSTRONG AND LARRY HILLMAN. First of all, Don Cherry can say whatever the hell he wants to. He's about the greatest thing that has ever happened to hockey. I live in the U.S. and wish Don was the Commissioner of the NHL, then it would be worth watching again. Second, Brashear pounded Neil, but he wanted no part of McGrattan. No surprise, because Brashear was running for the showers balling his eyes out last fight I saw between them.

I think that too many of you are missing the main point of this fight. Seems that there are a lot of Neil haters. He didn't get his ass kicked, he wasn't even remotely stunned. Obviously Brashear won this fight on points and punches landed, but Neil showed that he can take everything Brash could throw at him and not even bat an eye. Brashear threw a bunch of fast punches that looked impressive, but had little or no effect. Neil threw more conservatively, and with more purpose. His punches had much more impact, and I give this dust-up to Neil.
