Koci really didn't "stop punching" as the announcers said - the sweater came up and the refs broke it up.

I like this Koci kid...he works hard, and besides, what was wrong with the good hard, clean hit he put on Lehtinen? Barch would have been wise to just let it go because he got tagged with three good lefts and lost this fight. Koci represents the enforcer role with honor and integrity...that was class he displayed when he stopped throwing bombs once the jersey was up over Barch's head. Barch had nothing to jaw about at the end of the fight becasue he easily could have gotten a broken jaw and then some!!

Fight between 2 of the leagues most aggressive young guys. Koci wins in a nothing battle due to the sweater coming over Barch's head leading to a premature stoppage. Almost a no-contest.

Good to see both guys doing what they need to do. Props to Barch in stepping up for a teammate vs a superheavy.

Krys Barch vs David Koci

They have some words behind the play, then drop their gloves at center ice and begin to square off. They grab on, and Barch starts off with a weak right, then Barch's sweater comes over his head, and Koci unloads with about 5 or 6 solid lefts. The limesmen immediately come in, and separate the two combatants.

These new sweaters suck. Spandex and hockey don't mix.

Edge Koci. The new unis suck. Some of the road sweaters (can we still call them sweaters?) are very boring. Home fans see the same colors every game. Pretty lame, Bettman.

Quick dom. by Koci as we can to expect because the opponent, Barch isn't the same galiper than he.
A little booo to Koci as he jerseys smaller guy.

You've got to be kidding me, Koci didn't stop swinging.

Like it or not the hit was clean, if Barch wants to stick his nose in there then that's his business. Koci by NO means is a dirty player. He plays a hard game of Hockey and never looks for the fight. I watched him play many games here in WB and he has plenty of honor. I guarantee u his players love him and the fans in Chicago will soon be Koci fanatics. If u ever have a chance to meet this man......do so! he is a about down to earth and a nicer guy u will never meet!!!

barch sticks up for a teammate and important player

he seems like he will drop them with anyone and he doesn't hug it up at least he was trying to throw before his jersey got over his head, koci was gonna probably drop him though before the refs came in

he drops them though, has there been a time when he hasn't? it keeps him in the league and he makes sure people know they are in for a fight if they hit the better players
