Good bout,May landed more often, give him the decisive win.

Posted by followthecode on December 19, 2009 at 07:10 PM

Watch it again and pay attention to Barch. He throws a ton of air-hooks. May was smiling on his way to the box because he was almost untouched. Lots of activity but May gets the win.

A CLEAR DRAW... I LOVE IT WHEN THE TWO FIGHT///

Posted by charlesbrosky on December 19, 2009 at 10:42 PM

Jesus, don't these guys take fighting seriously. I hate when they're laughing and gigling with each other afterwards as if it was a game.

Posted by kalismkkr on December 20, 2009 at 11:15 PM

Draw.

Posted by childplease on December 22, 2009 at 12:38 PM

Good fight, it is always fun to watch these guys throw down!

Posted by HockeystarIowa on January 11, 2010 at 10:12 AM

How can you IDIOTS not say this is a Draw???????????? C'mon you morons, this was a classic barch v may slugfest that came out in a draw. What gave May the edge? Nada bitches

Posted by Big Little Tank on December 21, 2009 at 01:43 PM

I had to score May slight win. He looked as though he enjoyed it.

Posted by rowbearprobear on December 20, 2009 at 12:39 PM

listening to redmond is priceless

Posted by KenLutz on December 19, 2009 at 05:36 PM

Good one, looks like May took that last throw right on snot locker. Wish Downey was still on the Wings.

Graet fight by two buds, Draw

The Red Wings announcers are so right! They are #1 in fight entertainment. PRAY FOR BARCH-MAY VII !!!!!!!

Posted by illukka on December 20, 2009 at 02:44 AM

wow! episode 6 in the epic series that is barch vs may and this is a beauty of a fight. all offense and a true slugfest. i gave it a 9 and a draw. winners are us who get to see the bout- both warriors deserve a pat in the back and a raise of salary lol

Posted by Kaderson on December 21, 2009 at 07:22 AM

Very close... good to see ol' May day scrappin'.

Posted by cannondale on December 20, 2009 at 12:35 PM

piss on all the experts who routinely poke (dare i say 'jab'??) fun at the smaller screappers in the nhl!!! you impugn their heart as well as fighting ability and then vote their fights highest so far this year. when is the last time bGL (no longer will be receive upper case status for that first word) had anything higher than a 6??? and don't claim that is because people are afraid to stand toe to toe with him...that is PRECISELY why he gets so many invites (those making the appeal need to prove themselves). i'd rather have either of these 2 or someone like ian lapierre, , brandon prust, or dan carilllo on my team. these men are warriors, not some oh so specific tool to be used in a instance so few and far between that their presence on the team hardly makes a difference. may and barch tangles have the highest rating (avg, mind you) of any duos in the last 3 years.......

Posted by nox240 on January 02, 2010 at 06:39 PM

draw. both are true warriors

Posted by cotefan92 on December 20, 2009 at 10:41 AM

Posted by staceyb on December 20, 2009 at 03:46 PM

I figured May would be retired by now--nope, he still likes to fight.

Posted by Behn Wilson on December 19, 2009 at 06:36 PM

May punched Barch's face, while Barch connected with May's fist... Win May.

Posted by David Gutierrez on December 20, 2009 at 12:37 PM

May landed a little more than Barch The edge to May

Posted by wallysy1 on December 20, 2009 at 11:31 PM

if you watch barch misses most all === if one were to score this 'punches thrown'--it was a draw. but may lands many, many more.

Posted by timmat1 on December 19, 2009 at 09:09 PM

Again, Barch (the worst) heavyweight fighter in the league can't even take down a man almost twice his age. it's a draw but may did land some good shot and barch landed nothing!

Posted by tomdetroit on December 21, 2009 at 09:15 PM

May by a nose. Good active slugfest. What is this, about the 50th time these two have locked up?

Posted by smichaels10 on January 23, 2010 at 12:09 AM

Watching Wings games is so much more tolerable these days now that May is usually dressed.

Posted by shrk33 on December 20, 2009 at 12:22 PM

What, Barch and May got into a fight? That never happens. Another solid bought of rock em sock em hockey between these two guys. May had the edge.

Posted by bostonrs555 on December 19, 2009 at 10:16 PM

Brad May IS Return of the Living Dead!!!!! May throws everything but his Walker at Barch in this highly rated bout and a win. All accolades go to May

Posted by Dave Brown HOF on December 29, 2009 at 07:35 PM

Good tilt. May = Warrior!

Posted by timm0 on December 19, 2009 at 07:05 PM

Outstanding. I'd like to pop the announcer, though. What a douchebag.

Posted by Towmater on December 20, 2009 at 02:25 AM

Win to the old guy, both threw alot and Barch is looking better as the season gets longer, but May seemed to land a few more. Good scrap!

Posted by boldbilly on December 20, 2009 at 11:21 AM

c'mon this is no draw it is a win by May clos fight but a win by May count the punches landed you will see...............homers stop voting unfairly.. For the record I am a fan of neither team

Great fight Edge May

Posted by cuptonj on December 20, 2009 at 03:36 AM

Great scrap.I loved the expression on Brad May's face when it was over. At least there's one Red Wing who is'nt a wuss.

Posted by 3-26-97 on December 21, 2009 at 12:40 PM

Hope the Wings get a few years out of May, he's a great addition to the squad. He gets the win here in a close bout.

Posted by Bad Dawg on December 20, 2009 at 12:11 PM

May is the only player in "Dead Wing" country that is worth his pay. Great scrap!!!!

Posted by b.t.wilson on December 20, 2009 at 12:45 PM

edge may in a fantastic fight. seemed to be watching every punch he was throwing for the first half while barch more had his head down while he was chucking them. very close fight though, these two are amazing head to head.

Posted by Luque1 on December 20, 2009 at 10:59 AM

Nice return to classic era of NHL tru tough quys brawls :-) Slight edge May and 9

Posted by bruins rule on December 19, 2009 at 04:46 PM

very good fight between these 2 guys.alot of punches were thrown.

Posted by GCBC00 on December 20, 2009 at 12:12 PM

Great to see Old Man May still gettin er' done! Good fight with plenty of action. For those of us who have watched may since Buffalo, what a warrior, eh? Close win, May.

Posted by C-7Enforcer on December 20, 2009 at 04:50 PM

May gets the edge, great fight!!!

Posted by j.lounsbury on December 20, 2009 at 12:30 AM

brad loves the game, knows his role and beats barch- hands down. Way to go Brad.

Posted by Clark75 on December 20, 2009 at 02:50 PM

Great tilt. May with the slight edge. He had better connection.

Posted by E_S_A_D on December 20, 2009 at 11:50 AM

Great fight. May still proving he is one of the elite heavies in the game. He's made Red Wings respectable again.

Posted by plum29 on December 22, 2009 at 05:47 PM

may these two never be on the same team.

Posted by stevkrause on December 21, 2009 at 09:52 AM

Another great, spirited, solid go between this two - edge to May for landing more shots

Posted by stich on December 20, 2009 at 01:35 AM

It is amazing to watch Brad May in action, what a veteran warrior! The Red Wings are very lucky to have his leadership and toughness with all the injuries and young players being called up from the Grand Rapids Griffins. This is more than likely his last season and I am happy for him he is playing such an important role ... he will hang up his skates with his head high.

Posted by djray5000 on December 20, 2009 at 08:02 AM

I saw more punches from Barch that landed.

Posted by BruinLeader on December 22, 2009 at 09:18 PM

How can you say May won that fight when he bails at the end? You cant win a fight if you ask for mercy.

Posted by tyrone on December 20, 2009 at 02:18 AM

they both lost. what a bunch of weak punches.

Posted by BigFistRocco on December 22, 2009 at 04:15 AM

May is a tool

Posted by Pens17 on December 20, 2009 at 11:36 AM

Nice dance with little big time hits. May is little more than a Don Quixote wannabe!

Posted by tiburon4 on December 20, 2009 at 02:23 AM

Even outt, lots of pepper aka jabs. Draw.

Posted by chad420 on December 20, 2009 at 11:13 AM

Posted by jcstokes on December 19, 2009 at 06:19 PM

Good fight. Nice to see the acknowledgment from each other. Well done draw.

Posted by Rex from MN on December 21, 2009 at 05:47 PM

Good old fashioned throwing match. I thought Barch carried it, but Draw. Looked like Barch had to switch hands after banging up the right on May's helmet quite a few times.

Posted by tomales2 on December 20, 2009 at 08:46 AM

I never cared for May when he was younger, but I do now. The guy is something else! Edge to May

Posted by piney on December 19, 2009 at 08:34 PM

clear win May. not close Don't think Barch connected even once.

Posted by muskokadangler on December 21, 2009 at 11:30 PM

They are great together!!!!!!! Like pea's and carrots!!!!!! How can a true fight fan not like May Day regardless of who you are cheering for???????

Posted by mixed90 on December 22, 2009 at 08:31 PM

I don't think I even saw Barch land a punch till almost the very end... entertaining for sure but May got the decision.

Posted by snowave on December 21, 2009 at 12:50 AM

I bet the have Christmas dinner together. great matchup, as always. edge May.

Posted by Rick16 on December 19, 2009 at 06:59 PM

Posted by BigBadBruins68 on April 19, 2010 at 11:21 PM

Posted by PuckmaninMN on December 20, 2009 at 09:32 AM

Barch, how does it feel to get your a$$ beat by somebody nearly twice your age? You're a puke and always will be. Win for May and pride for hockey in general.
