With both guys landing a zillion punches and standing at the end, I'm inclined to give a draw but it sure looked like May was landing better shots with both hands. Great fight!

Posted by Juha82 on January 16, 2008 at 03:05 PM

10 for fun!!!!! Edge May. Looked that May landed a couple/few hard blows.

Posted by k.L on January 16, 2008 at 01:09 AM

Great fight, i call it draw!

Posted by slshbleed on January 16, 2008 at 07:44 AM

May was able to keep his head up and switch hands better. May lands more and avoids getting hit as much with his head up. Nice showing by Barch. Win May.

Posted by The Peach on January 16, 2008 at 09:57 PM

may definitely got the upper hand. great fight. may switched right to left perfectly. barch isn't strong enough to pull his arm loose, and he is not an accurate puncher. and he never switches up effectively. he hung in there nicely though. but ultimately may landed more and with more authority.

Posted by Knucklechucker on January 16, 2008 at 02:40 AM

Great toe to toe battle here, I really like Krys Barch, he'll step to plate with anyone!. Draw!!

Posted by shrk33 on January 17, 2008 at 12:58 AM

pretty nice scrap by both guys. Draw, hard to pin a loss on either with a good showing by both

Posted by renaudh on January 16, 2008 at 04:46 AM

Nice draw !

Posted by mjdf13 on January 16, 2008 at 03:27 AM

Great f'n fight! Don't think worth 9 or 10, but no punches slipped here! Great fight to the draw between old school and young stud.

Posted by rangerfantwins on January 16, 2008 at 05:33 AM

no winner,a draw from start to finish

Posted by dcmac on January 16, 2008 at 06:36 PM

Gotta call that kinda scrap a draw. Very good fight. My hats for to both men.

Great tilt. If only they could all be like this. Gotta laugh at some of the morons on here like IMPEACH. Barch only landed two! Have you ever seen ice much less played hockey. Get out of here you idiot! This was a classic. Both players landed great shots. I called it a draw only because you can't tell from youtube which ones landed. Good respectable showing by each.

Posted by The llama on January 16, 2008 at 10:26 AM

Great Fight...both landed and threw a bunch of shots, but clear winner...Draw.

Posted by Hockeycrazed72 on January 16, 2008 at 08:39 AM

slight edge to may

I wish we could see more hockey fights like this one!

Posted by jakeb3336 on January 16, 2008 at 02:51 PM

That was a very even fight, with haymakers flying. That was great!

Nothing like two bums pounding eachother

Posted by Clarky 33 CAN on December 31, 2008 at 12:41 AM

Nice tussle - solid punches exchanged, good balance, and they went quite a while. May's best days may be behind him, but he can still chuck knuckles with the majority of heavyweights in the NHL.

Posted by David Gutierrez on December 28, 2009 at 06:17 PM

Good fight May was just a little better than Barch Edge WIN for May

Posted by Blues 34 on January 16, 2008 at 04:33 PM

Posted by aces50 on January 16, 2008 at 03:22 PM

Can you say Heavywieghts. Goodness they threw some monsters. Great fight and a draw for sure. Rematch I would pay to see.

Solid scrap! Both landed some medium bombs. Funny how announcers called him "Kyle" Barch. Tools!

Posted by DARCY T on January 16, 2008 at 05:55 AM

oh man!what a fight!barch landed couple of unanswered rights in the middle of fight but i call it draw

Posted by kcmuhr on January 16, 2008 at 08:36 PM

great toss both landed some bombs and took some as well. Needed more punches for it to be considered FOY but it should receive honorable mention

Posted by Gambino19 on January 16, 2008 at 05:05 PM

awesome scrap, hard to choose a winner. i'll saw draw but i'd score may by a hair if i had to.

Posted by Angel of Sin on January 17, 2008 at 10:46 PM

A good toe to toe style classic tilt, the way it shoud be done. I cannot stand this defensive fighting shit nowadays!

Posted by slav on January 16, 2008 at 07:59 AM

This is great stuff!!! Both guys were ready to threw and did not hold back. Both showed class and respect, as well. Gotta give it a draw.

Posted by troyt on January 16, 2008 at 11:34 AM

This is one of the better fights all year! No clear win for either one. This was just round 2 from their fight on Nov 21.

Posted by Gio2371 on January 18, 2008 at 01:06 AM

Loved it. Just a couple of big boys rocking and firing. Neither with the edge and both fired and took some bombs.

Posted by BostonBruins19 on January 16, 2008 at 01:49 PM

great fight. i cant say anyone lost after a great fight like that. great job by both of them.

Posted by midar on January 16, 2008 at 02:34 PM

gotta say a good scrap after a long hugfest period . my respect to both of them . go flames !

Posted by killmachine on January 16, 2008 at 08:00 AM

Draw..... why? May was swinging away to the side of the head which is somewhat protected by a helmet which obviously didn't phase Barch.... Barch was steadly landing either chin or body shots to the chest I'm guessing chest since May wasn't faded. Then the 2 each got some good slams in there. Looked like Barch had May by the throat (which would have been a bitch move, but no telling) Both some good blows... I can't see how anyone can claim winner

Posted by iceman88 on January 16, 2008 at 08:19 AM

Great Fight!!! That is what respect is all about. Two guys that are out there to do a job,

Posted by goonsrock on January 16, 2008 at 05:08 PM

Posted by oakley on January 16, 2008 at 06:39 AM

Posted by Sourdoughkeeper on January 16, 2008 at 01:21 AM

GodDAMN do these two know how NOT to have a great fight when they square off against each other? If theres a award for Series of the Year, this just adamnbout HAS to be it! Beauty. Id have to say solid draw there, but by far the best scrap Ive seen in many months.

Posted by hughtrain on January 17, 2008 at 01:05 AM

Posted by Gunslinger on January 16, 2008 at 08:06 PM

Great fight that no-one should lose. A tape of this scrap should be sent to every so-called fighter in the league. This is how its done!

Posted by cabsf15e on January 18, 2008 at 06:07 PM

Glad I was watching this game on Ctr Ice, especially where I don't like either team. This fight was worth the price of admission...one of the best fights thus far in the 07-08 NHL season! Got to call it a draw because Barch answered every punch that May threw. Just before the fight ended Barch put a really good straight right onto May's cakehole and May didn't answer back very well with that weak left...very close fight!!!

Posted by siouxfan1 on January 16, 2008 at 01:45 AM

Great fight both threw some haymakers!! A draw for sure!

Posted by BattleAxe13 on January 16, 2008 at 09:17 PM

Posted by PPB22 on January 16, 2008 at 10:39 AM

Great toe-to-toe bout. Aggressive and classy. These guys have a great rivalry this season. Without getting too technical its a draw. FYI - Stephane Robidas is a total douche.

Posted by simonfan1996 on January 16, 2008 at 11:13 PM

This was one of the best fights you will see this year for sure, both May and Barch went at each other like it was their last fight ever!!! May probably gets the nod but Barch hung in there like a pro.

Posted by Enfrcr77 on January 16, 2008 at 07:06 PM

awesome fight.... no holding back there... nice shots from both draw

Posted by Goon24 on January 16, 2008 at 02:43 PM

I say draw because i cant pick a winner it was a very good fight very good almost as good as at the end when brad may was going off the ixce when he started celebrating but it was a good fight draw they both won

Posted by dr00r00 on January 16, 2008 at 10:15 PM

Until the last segment of the fight I was ready to give it to May but Barch came back strong after taking a half dozen and more. Gotta love that Western conf!!

Posted by spinmonster on January 19, 2008 at 10:19 PM

what a fantastic fight! It was like watching Rock'em Sock'em Robots! I was waiting for one of their heads to pop off! I love watching two heavies tradin'-em off! This is one of those fights you wished you were there for!

Posted by Predators71 on January 18, 2008 at 09:48 PM

Wow, what a fight. I don't know how anyone can say either player won this fight. It seemed so equal. One of the best fights I have seen in a long time. I am glad they get to play four more times. Thanks for adding the vid. Awesome.

Barch and May respected each other. "Watch out for the glove" as Barch dances into a fight. May gives approval to Barch "Good job,kid"@! Awesome.

Posted by trpaulson on January 17, 2008 at 04:12 PM

Think May landed more punches. The old boy just keeps going. Barch is gonna have a long career as a fighter too.

Posted by jbart321 on January 16, 2008 at 06:08 AM

Good fight. Lots of punches from May, but Barch held his won for the most part.

Posted by redwingrocket on January 17, 2008 at 03:24 PM

I like the solid first punch by May.

Posted by cinqminutes on January 17, 2008 at 02:51 AM

Nice to see guys willing to take one to give one, but come on a 9.0! Has it been that long since we have seen a good tilt? It seems that the heavyweights are going the way of boxing, they kinda of suck because they don't really want to trade blows and you end up with a bunch of BGLs's that either jackhammer or grapple guys into submission in <10 seconds, whereas the light heavies (like these two) and middleweights are the ones to watch. Just b/c the Bettman era is below par, don't lose perspective. Type this in your browser, it's a 9.0+ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxYOlRcwqiY

Posted by demonhead6 on January 21, 2008 at 06:25 PM

May early, Barch rest of fight. Good go around, edge to Barch (though, truthfully I hate May's sucker-punching ass so I may be biased, but I hope not).

Posted by snowave on January 16, 2008 at 02:07 AM

great fight.. Close, but May with a few more lands. This one might be saved on the Tivo for a while.

Posted by dudelink on January 17, 2008 at 10:35 AM

Slight edge to May for landing the bigger punches. Great friggin fight!

Posted by mrfistykuffs on January 20, 2008 at 11:21 PM

Two light heavy weights that really threw it down. Great fight, May landed the most quality shots, still very close.

Posted by Sublimezx on January 16, 2008 at 02:53 PM

Well May certainly pounded him! They both took some shots! Good fight

Posted by tvwillia1 on January 18, 2008 at 06:52 PM

it seems that on the balance May was hitting face and March more plastic than flesh

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on January 21, 2013 at 07:26 PM

This was a slugfest! I give it to May. He landed some bombs. Great fight. I really think these two have hatred for one another.

Posted by JayMiller29 on January 16, 2008 at 07:37 AM

Good effort boys! Bad Brad and "Kyle" Barch (WTF?) Thats how it used to be more often than not back in the heyday of punchups when I was a lad. Jay Miller and John Kordic would be proud of that one....

Posted by Bradmay10 on January 17, 2008 at 01:14 PM

great fight, May's experience definitely helped give him the nod.

Posted by Pittsburgh Dan on January 17, 2008 at 10:46 PM

Posted by NotoriousT on January 16, 2008 at 07:00 PM

Wow one of the best this year. Had to give it to May though for landing alot more shots flush to the head.

Posted by 2001GT on January 16, 2008 at 11:29 AM

candidate for fight of the year!

Posted by stizzo on January 16, 2008 at 09:11 AM

great tilt - both landed some quality shots - may got that left going and barch could only try and keep up - did a good job doing so - more scraps like this one are needed! Everyone gets fired up and brings the level of the game up - good scrap!

Posted by dcage on January 20, 2008 at 01:32 PM

The edge to May because he can throw equally well with both hands. Fight of the year so far.

Posted by Buckster on January 16, 2008 at 11:46 AM

WHAT A FIGHT!!!!! My God. Haven't seen one that good in a long time. Win May. Barch stood his ground good though. Give him Credit. He is moulding in a pretty decent scrapper.

Posted by buddha on January 16, 2008 at 05:39 AM

Wow! That was a hell of a fight - old time hockey. May landed left after left and Barch was returning rights. May was the clear winner.

Posted by IrishBrawler on January 16, 2008 at 12:06 PM

Great hammer fest. Edge to Brad May. Throw'em til your tired boys! A real fight for a change instead of a hug and kiss fest.

Posted by SirYohans on January 16, 2008 at 07:01 PM

Great Tilt. Gotta give the slightest of edge to May for having more mustard on his punches. AND WHAT IS UP WITH THE PEOPLE TRYING TO DISS DUCK FANS AS BEING IGNORANT? So what the announcer call Barch "Kyle." What the Ducks have been doing is great for hockey. They not only bullied their way to a cup last season. They are setting the tone for old time hockey. Fighting & penalty minutes are up all over the league. They have great fans and sell out crowds every night. Look at Detroit this year, the place they call "Hockeytown." The team is winning like crazy playing the boring style of getting 1 or 2 goals and sitting on it & no fighting or physical play what-so-ever. And their own fans don't give a sh!t about boring wins.

Posted by 10redbulls on January 16, 2008 at 11:37 AM

Great fight, I wish they were all this way. Give the edge to May

Posted by SOCALFAN on January 16, 2008 at 12:55 PM

Posted by BooSanta on January 17, 2008 at 01:30 PM

Buy these guys some steak dinners. May might have the punch stat here but lets give these warriors a damn near draw. This is the kind of fight you congratulate your opponent for not wimping out and hugging. This will wind up in the top 10. Large Intestine Campbell even might have liked this one.

Posted by Montel8000 on January 16, 2008 at 04:52 AM

Very good fight, voting should be 80% draw, at least.

Posted by Louutah on January 17, 2008 at 06:49 PM

As the announcer said...."good scrap."

Posted by luvhockey22 on January 18, 2008 at 05:35 PM

took a while for them to get started but May had it in the begg. but then Barch took the end with those punches to the chin!!! wish they didn't end the fight like that someone needed to take each other down!!! Pretty good fight!!!!

Posted by jasontjames on January 16, 2008 at 07:04 PM

Barch held his own in this one. May threw a bunch of punches that really did no damage. I felt like Barch fought a good fight. As close to a draw as it gets. It was nice to see a real fight. Lately it seems more like two guys just holding on to one another and spinning around. This what fighting in hockey is supposed to be.

Posted by cfount64 on January 16, 2008 at 09:30 AM

Wow! The exchange was terrific but Barch dotted more "eyes".

Posted by novisorsallowed on January 16, 2008 at 10:44 AM

One of the best scraps of the year. The homers are obviously out in force for Anaheim. There's no way to call this a clear victory for either combatant, and I'm a big time Dallas fan. It is nice to see Barch not getting his ass kicked for once.

Once again May gives in and let's the refs separate them. He knows Barch is gonna swing until one of them goes down. May needs to hang in there or not accept the challenge, he's gotta have the refs step in every time....Watch the video of the fight before this one and read his lips "I'm tired, I quit"

A great fight between the two. I give props to Barch for sticking it out as well as he did, but May deserves the W in this one because he simply had more good hits than Barch did. A close one overall and one of the best fights of the season so far (it was awesome live, the crowd went nuts) but the win belongs to May.

the old man still has it

Posted by azjim on January 16, 2008 at 06:45 AM

I thought it was a draw. There is often a problem with the announcers shouting out each time their guy throws, whether anything landed or not, and not mentioning some of the punches thrown by the opponent. It was a great fight though.

Posted by giefs on January 18, 2008 at 03:33 AM

Great battle....plain and simple.

Posted by chelios247 on January 16, 2008 at 01:48 PM

now that is entertainment! this has to be one of the best fights of the year.

Posted by bam932 on January 17, 2008 at 08:20 PM

Now that's a fight. Draw.

Great fight! What a scrap.

Posted by muskokadangler on December 15, 2009 at 01:32 PM

What a TILT!!!!!! I called it a draw but if I had to pick a winner with no draw it would be May!!!! Just because I think he is better with both hands . Classsic fight...Class act by Barch.........PRICELESS :) THE WINNER FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by brawler03 on January 16, 2008 at 12:26 PM

Great fight. That's old time hockey right there. Willing to take a punch to deliver one. I dont know if you can declare a winner in this one. Draw.

Posted by Krahn on January 20, 2008 at 06:53 PM

Barch tellin May bout the glove is almost as good as when Laraque was mic'd!!! 10 and a DRAW

Posted by kocurfan26 on January 16, 2008 at 06:33 PM

great fight. definite draw. even though May is like 65 years old he can still throw 'em

Posted by hockeyherman on January 18, 2008 at 11:43 AM

That was an AMAZING fight. So good that I can't decide a winner no takedown both threw and landed lots of great shots! Thats probably the best fight i've seen all year!

Posted by BobGassoffFan on May 24, 2008 at 06:28 AM

Great fight, these two put on a show when they go, swing for the trees and play zero defense, now that's a fight!!!

Posted by YRU Blind on January 18, 2008 at 01:24 AM

Great fight! May with the victory. Both show class.

Posted by perezj on January 16, 2008 at 07:45 AM

May gets the win. Someone should show this clip to Brashear amd Laroque the so called heavy weights. Instead of all this wrestling and trying oto hide your face, these gys went toe to toe...Good scrap...

Posted by Viper207 on September 10, 2015 at 03:23 AM

Two super-willing guys just absolutely slugging it out. I have to give this one to May for the early, clean shots. Ouch.

Posted by uconn on January 16, 2008 at 01:47 PM

Great bout

Posted by benjaminrmiller on January 16, 2008 at 09:22 AM

great fight. both guys throwing some haymakers. definitely got to give it to May for landing more shots (not to the helmet).

Posted by bhamill on January 16, 2008 at 02:51 PM

Slight edge to May, I thought he landed a little better, but GREAT effort by both guys.

Posted by hedrack78 on January 16, 2008 at 10:41 AM

Wow, great fight, no wrestling. One of the best this season. Win for Brad May, but there was no domination.

Posted by Brashearfan on January 16, 2008 at 06:40 AM

Now this is what hockey fights are all about. Great scrap! draw to slight edge May

Posted by mike gradzewicz on January 16, 2008 at 07:19 AM

all you dumb asses out there we know you can't spell win for may and the only word you know is draw-may clearly gets the winand just think 15 years ago when may was barch'es age may would knocked his ass out.............

Posted by JOCCOCHRIS on January 17, 2008 at 12:11 AM

decent fight-draw

Posted by IMPEACH on January 16, 2008 at 09:34 AM

Looks like May dominated... Barch maybe snuck in one or two, but he should get 5 minutes for receiving.

Posted by yatyas on January 16, 2008 at 01:19 AM

"Kyle" fukkin idiots!!!! Read your screen you have up idiot!!! Great fight, gave the win to May.

Posted by quhockey10 on January 16, 2008 at 02:54 AM

Saw it live, great fight - MUCH better without having to hear Hayward at the game! They called Barch "Kyle" in the first fight these two had this year (in Anaheim, of course). Worst announcers in the league, least knowledgeable fans in the league, but they are entertaining to watch. May looked like it was '96 right there. The fight, aside from having split the other two fights this season, was a build-up from May absolutely levelling Zubov and then Robidas got in his face but wouldn't do anything about it. Barch came to the rescue late but the refs had already blown the whistle and got in between the crowd.

Posted by mailman1194 on January 16, 2008 at 09:10 AM

quhockey10 says "Anaheim has least knowledgable fans" O.K. smart guy, since Dallas is "hockey town U.S.A." I know that when Anaheim won the cup, it was out-rite. When Dallas won, they changed the rules for a game and handed them the championship. If you want to learn something, go ask D. Hasek or any one of the Sabres about it. By the way, since Dallas is the heart of hockey, how many NHL'ers are you guys putting out? Oh, zero. Do you know why? You don't produce kids from fucking farm animals
