Feb 10, 2007 New York Rangers Colton Orr
2pd 12:17 Washington Capitals Donald Brashear
Right off of the faceoff the two drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other at the blueline. Orr starts things off with six quick rights followed by two rights to the back of Brashear's head. Brashear responds with a left and then throws a couple more wild lefts while he fights to keep his arm out of Orr's grasp. Orr misses with a big right but is able to come back with two rights to Brashear's ear while his elbow pad falls off during the process. Brashear twists Orr to throw him off-balance and throws a left just as Orr returns fire with a right. Brashear then connects with another right that sends Orr to the ice. The linesmen quickly jump on top of them and things are broken up.

Off the faceoff the two are shaking their gloves wanting to go. Orr drops his first, Brashear follows. Orr starts off with about six weak rabbit punches to Brashear. They get in close and Brashear throws two punches, neither landing. Brashear throws another punch to the back of Orr's helmet. Orr, then, wildly throws a right, and then throws three punches to the side of Brashear's head. Brashear and Orr each throw a punch. Then Orr takes a punch from Brashear on the forehead sending him to the ice. The linesmen come in and break it up.

As expected, round 3 between these two. Orr did better, taking the fight to Brash and landing a couple. He would have merited an edge but got caught by Donald's patented move and received a couple good shots including one that caused a mouse under his eye. By Brash's reaction (signaling #1 to the bench and Orr laconically) it was most likely a good punch. While not a Tko by any means.............it MAY have been a knockdown.............hard to tell on either feed.

Either way, Win Brash for damage done which negated Orr's activity. POSSIBLY another solid, impressive win if conclusive video evidence proves it.

If at ''third'' you don't succeed...

I don't think that last punch by Brashear got in. I couldn't see Orrs feet. It looked like more of a slip.

Not a good fight but action had.
Orr started well but Brash gives back then later.
He did knock Orr to the ice?
nope as Orr just lost his situation on Brash, losing his grip and goes down.
Brash took over.
He was a NARRow winner.

With the flurry at the end, Brashear gets the nod.

I saw the fight three times already and I do not think Brashear won. Orr sarted off early and Brashear came back towards the end. It was a draw at best. At a boy Colton keep sticking up for your teamates, I hope your coach finally realizes how important a role like yours is needed for team success.

Although I am a Ranger fan rooting for Orr and do not like Brashear, I must give the decision to Brashear. If Brashear has success in keeping Orr close, it's Orr's job to get himself free. You cannot take away points from Brashear just because you don't like him or his style. And whether Brashear KD'd Orr from his punches or whether Orr lost his balance, keeping your balance is an important factor in being a good fighter. Orr has gone down in every fight he's had with Brashear so far. This fight was very close until the end, when Brashear once again put down Orr while throwing a flurry of lefts, giving Brashear a solid win.

Orr's early punches were ineffective, had Orr not fallen I believe Brashear would have unloaded and clearly taken the bout.

Great fight, Orr I believe threw more punches and seemed to be thrown off balance towards the end. Pretty close though.

sorry for my ignorance but can anyone tell me the difference between a TKO and a KO when it comes to hockey fights?

Orr landed a few more, but Brashear wound up on top. I call it a draw.

Brashear was getting Orr back for a check on Ovechkin. Not only did he repay Orr, he pretty much destroyed him. Orr might have landed a couple of punches. Brashear threw I want to say at least 8 unanswered punches before throwing the haymaker.

Orr started out strong but he's no match for Brashear. Brashear ended it strong with what might have been a KO.

All Brashear does is throw Orr around, he never really lands any punches.
