I love Erskine...every punch he throws seems to rise up from his soul. Plus he's a balding ginger....Extra points there.

Allday Johnny E...by far,the most under rated fighter in the NHL

Posted by katolu on February 10, 2013 at 08:30 AM

Nice homer glasses from the broadcast booth.

Posted by staceyb on February 10, 2013 at 07:56 AM

Erskine takes the decision.

Posted by Mounty in NC on February 10, 2013 at 08:57 AM

That was an okay fight....Erkine won but he actually missed on most of his punches. Most of his punches where complete misses or hitting the shoulder pads. Even still, he landed more than Parros did

Posted by Behn Wilson on February 09, 2013 at 09:55 PM

Erskine throws a series of bombs with nasty intentions and as a result, he effectively manages to keep Parros at bay throughout most of the fight Although in the end despite the onslaught Magnum still didn't seem to be too much the worse for wear

Posted by fernben8 on February 09, 2013 at 11:23 PM

Although Parros protected himself fairly well ... I have to give the Edge to Erkskine on punch count alone ( George hardly threw any ).

Posted by CofRed92 on February 10, 2013 at 05:38 AM

Erskine's gotta be one of the most underrated fighters in the league. The dude can throw anvils

Posted by soupyfly on February 09, 2013 at 08:22 PM

Johnny with the win good tilt thou

Posted by Nick_Fotiu on February 10, 2013 at 08:26 AM

Erskine rarely loses a fight. He's under-rated and has been for quite some time.

Posted by tflyer on February 09, 2013 at 10:23 PM

Winner Erskine

Posted by rocky 1 on February 10, 2013 at 04:12 AM

Two top heavies but i feel that Erskine gets the better of George here landing some solid shots!

Posted by bruins rule on February 23, 2013 at 10:03 AM

erskine gets the win.

Posted by sedinfan on February 09, 2013 at 11:47 PM

Erskine owns him, the homer announcers seem to miss all the punches we saw.

Posted by BrettB on February 11, 2013 at 02:59 PM

Big John connects with a few good rights, one especially staggers Parros midway through the bout.

Posted by GreatMurray on February 10, 2013 at 08:52 PM

Erskine landed 2 or 3 good ones to one by big George. Erskine with the win.

Posted by Kordic64 on February 09, 2013 at 08:53 PM

Win Erskine. He buckles Georgie Boy. Many others would have dropped.

Posted by xaulxan on February 11, 2013 at 07:59 PM

Parros hung on for dear life as he got rocked. A couple nice shots in, but gotta hand it to Erskine.

Posted by AC1026 on February 09, 2013 at 11:37 PM

Erskine with the better shots...kinda close

Posted by DARCY T on February 10, 2013 at 05:06 AM

win erskine...and 7

Posted by canamrugby on February 10, 2013 at 12:09 PM

Seems like Erskine is a bit underestimated around the league; tough customer and gets the win here.

Posted by omorales on February 10, 2013 at 07:51 AM

More thrown and landed by Ernskine

Posted by kimo_coyote on February 09, 2013 at 10:01 PM

Erskine "brung it"

Posted by ferdip on February 11, 2013 at 10:25 PM

Erskine just threw more punches

Posted by devsfan87 on February 10, 2013 at 11:05 AM

Parros isn't much good at anything hockey related. Keeping his job means he has to win fights. This was not his best effort.

Posted by wortef on February 14, 2013 at 11:14 AM

Win to Big John. Dig how he throws those haymakers. George is a savvy fighter to be reckoned with, but this night he was back on his heels.

Posted by The Mad House on February 10, 2013 at 12:02 AM

Didn't see that coming, all Erskine there.

Posted by Paulo1989 on February 09, 2013 at 08:54 PM

Erskine won....

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on February 10, 2013 at 12:11 AM

Wow, Parros went looking for that beating. He should have stayed on the bench.

Posted by TrueHockeyFan79 on February 09, 2013 at 08:19 PM

Erskine threw better punches but Parros took him down in the end. Still I give Erskine the win.

Posted by JetWing34 on February 09, 2013 at 09:44 PM

Not even close. Erskine wins.

Posted by axel_kina on February 14, 2013 at 08:18 PM

What a guy. Not only has he been able to gain the 2nd def pairing through stable and good defensive play this season, he still takes on big george, and wins. Huge player Eriske is for the Caps... keep'em coming

Posted by eaglesrule3620 on February 10, 2013 at 12:56 AM

"Those are some haymakers going back and forth." I saw the back, but not the forth, Erskine was the only one throwing bombs. He gets the clear win in my eyes.

Posted by Rob B on February 10, 2013 at 11:40 AM

Great match-up. Caps are a different team with big John in the lineup. Now if they would just stop playing Schultz every night......

Good scrap by two tuff guys. Erskine is very under rated. I wish they were back in the very soft NHL. Check out Georges clothing line, Violent Gentelman. Good stuff.

Posted by TAZDEVIL on February 10, 2013 at 10:39 AM

Erskine was all there for this one once again. He stumbled twice but it didnt affect the fight. He landed all the big hits and lots of them. Parros fought Erskine in his debut NHL game and a few times since. He is a heavy weight for sure but nothing like Big John Erskine. Washington has missed John the last 3 games, its good to see him back. A good stay at home defense that is starting to step in a little closer on the offense and put some points up.

Erskine Rocks Red! again

Posted by 87CROSBY87 on February 10, 2013 at 07:22 AM

Big George with the BIGGEST and FINAL blow

Posted by tpr1960 on February 10, 2013 at 08:23 AM

Good tilt, Notice how Parros doesn't hit Erskine when he fell, classy.

Posted by wreckers77 on February 09, 2013 at 07:47 PM

good bout, pretty even

Posted by Bob Probert 24 on February 15, 2013 at 07:24 AM

Erskine caught Parros with a couple that knocked him off rhythm. Edge to Erskine.

Posted by kitcarnut on February 10, 2013 at 04:05 AM

Erskine knew if he stopped throwing he was a dead man.

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on February 11, 2013 at 10:07 AM

Big John all the way

Posted by FHgrad99 on February 09, 2013 at 07:54 PM

Battle of a couple of guys who have a lot of experience in the fighting department. This was pretty much all Erskine from start to finish. Parros wasn't able to connect with much. Erskine landed several quality shots here. Erskine gets the W here.

Posted by blackngold on February 09, 2013 at 10:40 PM

Parros did well against big John Scott last week but he got hammered in this one by Erskine.

Posted by kkdowning on February 10, 2013 at 02:41 PM

Erskine with the clear win -- they must have talked before the game as they both were ready for it. PS announcers, stop talking about Erskine's suspension -- not like he is Raffi Torres.

Posted by mikesuk on February 12, 2013 at 06:15 PM

A real surprise here. Erskine doesn't normally go with heavyweights. But he dominated Parros (one of the heaviest) and almost knocked him down. Parros never landed a decent punch.

Posted by Cangelosi on February 09, 2013 at 11:02 PM

Erskine... he threw with conviction and rocked him with one. George threw like he didn't want to connect

Posted by Oil Can Henry on February 09, 2013 at 08:49 PM

...when did the Panther's acquire Tony Orlando?,....

Posted by kerryouten on February 25, 2013 at 11:15 AM

They were almost 1 for 1 on the punches. I see it as a draw. Parros never lets himself get on bottom. Landing on bottom gets you hurt.
