McGrattan goes on offence quickly, in attempting to properly introduce himself to the hometown faithful. Meanwhile, back at the ranch... a stitched-up, Parros, responds with clever defence, in an evenly-matched, cautious, battle of two, true ''heavies''. Side bar... Nashville has never had a presence quite like McGrattan in their line-up before... and as a result...I sense a new Predator swagger this season..

Posted by hal29 on October 30, 2011 at 11:54 AM

I call it a draw. Parros more on the defense but with McGeat hitting nothing but air or helmet. Can tell nothing landed because the stitches were never reopened which one punch to the face would of. Call it a draw and would give it a 5.5 rating if I could but I will give it 6.

Posted by pepsigenerate on October 31, 2011 at 01:41 AM

Parros throwing some good combos and hanging in there while McGrattan throwing some that weren't to effective despite the more aggressive mode by McGrattan which probably why they give him a decision.McGrattan also trys to take advantage of Parros stitched eye but couldn,t pull it off.

Posted by scorp1on on October 29, 2011 at 11:17 PM

Parros early, McGrattan middle, draw at the end. Draw. Suprised that so many see this as a clear McGrattan win. Maybe an edge for the helmet punches but an 'easy win' nah. Neither was worse for the wear and both were chucking till their arms failed.

Posted by scooter231 on October 29, 2011 at 09:29 PM

Subtract all of McGrattan punches to Parros' helmet and we have a draw.

Posted by Clifford1364 on October 30, 2011 at 02:01 AM

Agree with fernben here. Although I knew why he was so defensive to begin with, McGrattan is doing well for himself. He earned his spot in the pros this season. Gave it a draw.

Posted by EdNo on October 31, 2011 at 04:07 PM

When I looked at the lopsided voting I was figuring that McGratton pummeled Parros but CLEARLY the voters saw what thay wanted to see, not what actuaklly happened... Gratts threw many more but really people, how many connected? clearly a DRAW Glad to see peeps are generally stupid and not just a bunch of B's haters... thats a relief!

Posted by angasan1 on October 29, 2011 at 11:41 PM

alot of swinging, alot of pushing & pulling...

Posted by rowbearprobear on October 29, 2011 at 11:09 PM

Solid 7. Wondering if BM knew about the cut to GP? I voted draw but could see an edge to BM. Stache fought a VERY smart fight to protect that eye.

Posted by Zendave on October 30, 2011 at 11:33 AM

nice McGrattan held advantage, but not really a "win" as it seemed Parros came to it out of adherance to the code. A rematch can be meaty.

Posted by BigRob1 on October 29, 2011 at 09:08 PM

Great fight by 2 of the biggest heavys in the league. Draw and 8's all the way around.

Posted by Double Nickels on November 07, 2011 at 05:20 AM

Good tilt. Parros on the defensive, McGratton on the offensive--as expected. McGrattan looks a little cocky in his fights this year; could be in for a KO if he keeps opening his jaw.

Posted by slysi on May 31, 2017 at 03:32 PM

PISS POOR hot dog move at the end by McGatten

Posted by DARCY T on October 30, 2011 at 03:52 PM

parros fought smartly but mcgrattan got the edge in the second half of fight eventually.gave it 5

Posted by guignz on October 29, 2011 at 11:59 PM

Strange to see Parros fight defensively, but when i heard about the stitches i understood McGrattan landed clean shots and Parros too, but McGrattan landed more, good fight, simple to judge

Posted by leeban on November 24, 2011 at 04:04 PM

Mcgarattan with the win

Posted by The Mob on November 07, 2011 at 08:25 PM

Uncle George was happy to get the hell out of that one. McGrat's gets crazier acting (and looking) from one drug rehab to the next.

Posted by theSDauncey on October 29, 2011 at 11:04 PM

it was a draw up untill 40 seconds but then brian took over

Posted by Phantomhockey on October 29, 2011 at 09:09 PM

Towards the end McGrattan got in a few shots that seemed to stun George Boy... Might've even ripped his mustache off... Overall boring fight despite two of the more reputable enforcers going toe to toe.... McGratts with the slight edge....

Posted by shrk33 on October 30, 2011 at 06:36 PM

McGratton takes care of the Stache in this bout!

Posted by lb1631 on November 01, 2011 at 10:11 AM

Parros wanted nothing to do with McGrattan. Clear win for McGratten and tell the announcers to stop crying.

Posted by Jellyczar on October 31, 2011 at 08:25 PM

Mc Grattan slight edge over the cut up Parros. Both are big and slow.....

Posted by billy jack on October 29, 2011 at 10:07 PM

mac had parros dazed and confused from beginning to end.mac seems like hes off the sauce, good for him.

Posted by jlmcgui on November 23, 2011 at 06:22 PM

Looks like Anaheim released the wrong guy???? Statement made by McGrattan; "I'm back" ... as a Bruins fan, I wish they gave Brian a chance last season.

Posted by staceyb on October 30, 2011 at 07:15 AM

Parros took it way too cautious with his stitches. Gratz with the convincing win. This was a mean game after Mike Fisher got knocked out in the first period.

Posted by fernben8 on October 29, 2011 at 10:54 PM

McGratton came a long way to send his regards, almost looked like a charging call. I was wondering why Parros was fighting so defensively...? As the announcer mentioned, he had fresh stitches under his eye... then I could certainly understand why. Nice to see McGrattan doing well again, Not much landed but will give nod to him for being the aggressor. Gave it a 6.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on February 09, 2013 at 02:43 PM

McGrattan handled Ron Jeremy quite well in that bout.

Posted by Clark75 on October 29, 2011 at 10:42 PM

Win for McGrattan. Good scrap. Parros took more shots.

Posted by Riomouse911 on October 31, 2011 at 02:41 AM

BmcG with some big mc punches has parros mc ducking and takes that one from the get-go. But the Avery-esque kisses-blowing ending makes him look like a big mc douche.

Posted by mrunohoo on October 30, 2011 at 03:18 PM

If he can keep himself out of rehab for an entire year, Nashville games might be fun to watch. Parros actually stayed on his feet, however, might have been a good idea to fall earlier.

Posted by Spanky_Jazz on October 30, 2011 at 01:33 AM

Good fight, edge to McGrattan.

Posted by hkhk on October 30, 2011 at 03:56 PM

nice battle 2 big heavyweights here ..

Posted by bruiser11 on October 29, 2011 at 11:43 PM

McGrattan is awfully tough to beat.

Posted by rocky 1 on November 16, 2011 at 03:21 PM

Brian is the real deal folks and he betters George in this tilt!Next to Scott he,s probably the toughest in the NHL!

Posted by bruins rule on October 29, 2011 at 11:52 PM

mcgrattan gets the win in this fight.

Posted by Power29 on November 21, 2011 at 07:32 AM

McGrattan wins against one of the toughest guys in the league.

Posted by sulley71 on October 30, 2011 at 12:25 AM

Very slight edge to McGrattan

Posted by DarkDisciple on October 30, 2011 at 12:35 PM

No doubt that McGrattan in a top 10 in the nhl

Posted by kevinrouleau on December 12, 2013 at 11:09 PM

DO-MI-NA-TION for McGrattan!!!

Posted by Franchise on October 29, 2011 at 09:08 PM

Good scrap. McGratten gets the win.

Posted by Gruvn on October 30, 2011 at 09:53 PM

Good, hard fight. Clear advantage to McGrattan in this one.

Posted by Bosoxshute on October 29, 2011 at 09:18 PM

Good fight. Looked to me like Parros was trying to protect that cut

Posted by mctuttle on October 29, 2011 at 09:17 PM

Parros starts out strong, then fizzles.

Posted by CofRed92 on May 25, 2012 at 08:16 AM

Gratz wins easy

Posted by kinga101 on November 13, 2011 at 12:06 PM

Nice one. McGrattan kept the pressure on making Parros back up for most of the fight.

Posted by GreatMurray on October 30, 2011 at 09:12 PM

I had trouble finding punches the Grats landed...but He may have land one or two good ones. Mostly he missed short. But Big George was not able to land much either. Grats gets the vote for being busiest. Good Go!

Posted by plum29 on November 01, 2011 at 12:53 AM

solid solid scrap!

Posted by levitynyc on October 29, 2011 at 09:03 PM

Good fight, McGrattan landed way more. Win

Posted by FightsOfHockey on October 29, 2011 at 10:43 PM

good to see heavyweights still exist in the nhl McGrattan wins no problem

Posted by EDDUBBS on October 30, 2011 at 02:21 AM

Excellent fight between two old school fighters. Gratts with the win, pummeling the Stache at the last 1/4 of the bout. Good one.

Posted by tootoo07 on October 30, 2011 at 06:57 PM

Nice showing by McGrattan, hat goes off to Parros after taking a puck to the face in practice and being willing to fight. Nashville plays Chicago next will McGrattan and Scott GO???

Posted by Bostonslugfest on October 31, 2011 at 09:58 AM

VERY VERY good heavyweight bout.. McGrattan with the win

Posted by rwb31 on January 25, 2012 at 04:47 PM

very close but I think George had better shots in the fight..

Posted by murball on October 31, 2011 at 12:09 PM

Parros landed the most shots - McGratton (the big goof!) mostly hit the back of George's helmet

Posted by tyrone on October 30, 2011 at 01:03 AM

Hey big Mac. You lost. You threw many more, but never hit Parros. Had you hit him, you would have opened up his stitches. Parros fought smart, defensive to protect his injured face. Win Stasche. Some of you need a vision check. Mac threw, but never hit him. Yep, more aggressive, but he lost, plain and simple. Idiots on this site.

Posted by nixu on October 30, 2011 at 04:41 AM

Ok its easy to see whitch fighter is popular here! I dont know what you guys are watching, but parros landed best bunches and McGrattan mostly hit the helmet or shoulder. I was giving a draw, but getting pissed off and im saying win Parros

Posted by SirYohans on October 29, 2011 at 10:11 PM

Parros shots landed better and more frequent. All of McGrattan's punches missed until the tail end of the fight.

Posted by justafan32 on October 30, 2011 at 02:42 AM

Mcgrattan had more punches, but Parros landed more of them, with bigger impact. Gotta give him extra point for going at after a puck to the face. It would've been a different fight otherwise, and he still did well. Was going to call it a Draw until Mcgrattan acts like a douche and blows kisses. That was your teammate two weeks ago, and you've been playing up or less then two weeks. Don't get ahead of yourself buddy.

Posted by dorian on October 31, 2011 at 06:37 AM

This was *not* McGrattan's first game with the Preds as the announcers suggested....wasn't even his first fighting major

Posted by Rob B on October 31, 2011 at 07:30 PM

Can't give a win to a guy who seeks out a fight with an opponent who's already banged up.

Posted by tommyboy220 on October 31, 2011 at 03:18 AM

Mostly McGrattan here as Parros just tried to keep his distance to avoid having those stitches split opened. To Behn Wilson, I believe Nashville had some guy named Wade Belak for a few years, he wasn't exactly a feather-weight.

Posted by Kitsune_H on October 30, 2011 at 04:18 AM

It was a shame Parros couldn't fight to his full here.

Posted by snowave on October 30, 2011 at 12:10 PM

not alot of serious punches landed, but I'll give the edge to MG... sure wish the Ducks wouldn't have let him go, but no room with Parros I guess. Parros did look hesitant with the stitches. The blowing kisses to the crowd thing was kinda weak, however.

Posted by Oil Can Henry on October 30, 2011 at 12:51 AM

...McGratton was certainly the aggressor - don't think the punches had all-that much of an effect, though --- still gets the slight win,.....

Posted by GaryW on October 29, 2011 at 11:20 PM

They said Parros got punched in practice. Anyone know the deals of that?

Posted by muskokadangler on October 30, 2011 at 12:35 PM

Parros is a chump.....He sure knows how NOT to get the shit kicked outa him but that doesn't mean he's a good fighter and he sure as hell doesn't throw very well He's real big but for his reach and size I'd say he's a Pantie Waste Lmao :)

Posted by FHgrad99 on November 02, 2011 at 02:42 AM

Decent fight, McGratton landed a couple more good shots to get the nod here.

Posted by JeanLaValette on November 02, 2011 at 09:21 PM

McGrattan takes this slo-mo fight...expected more here

Posted by kkdowning on October 30, 2011 at 09:12 AM

Good scrap, McGrattan gets the win, mainly because Parros was much more defensive than his normal falling-down and throwing big rights self

Posted by chad420 on November 02, 2011 at 09:56 AM

Gratts laying some Smack Down on Ron Jeremy & the Ducks...wish the Bs had room for him...even though Gratts is tougher...Thornton is a smarter enforcer and more skilled forward who takes regular shifts

Posted by samtheman on November 03, 2011 at 05:28 AM

Good scrap between 2 true heavyweights. McGrattan wins this one.

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on October 31, 2011 at 02:50 AM

Good fight, Parros early then Gratt's took over in the middle and the end, Narrow win for McGrattan.

Posted by azjim on October 30, 2011 at 01:29 AM

GaryW - He got a puck in the face, not a punch. Kinda like in this fight. Parros took a lot of shots in the shoulder pads. Good defensive fight on his part.

Posted by TBLightningGuru on December 01, 2011 at 01:35 AM

Parros landed more
