Draw in a great HW scrap.

Posted by april81972 on October 14, 2007 at 02:28 PM

I'm with pilotpelkie on this one. slight edge to Orr for landing the heavier of the shots. Grats came back all right, but his punches didn't have a lot on them.

Posted by DetroitIan on October 14, 2007 at 02:59 PM

At first, I was suprised the way Orr was handling McGrattan. But then as we all see, McGrattan gets exceptionally stronger through the bout. Orr definitely had the upper hand in the very beginning of the fight. But towards the middle and end, it was all McGrattan. Couple of warriors right there. Great scrap. McGrattan wins again.

Posted by kocurfan26 on October 14, 2007 at 04:49 PM

Orr landed way more quality punches. All McGratten did was hit him in the back of the helmet, after eating about solid eight rights

Posted by Rebel Banker on October 13, 2007 at 10:39 PM

WIN mcgratts!! orr lands two bombs early but then mcg wears his arse out...

Posted by Vandenbussche on October 14, 2007 at 10:24 AM

Great fight, lots of back and forth here.

Posted by TheSchwab on November 04, 2007 at 05:51 PM

IDK how u guys can overwhelmly vote McGrattan, both players got nice shots in.

Posted by Captain Crunch28 on October 17, 2007 at 06:21 PM

Brian McGrattan vs Colton Orr These two stare each other down at center ice, and decide to drop the gloves and begin to square off. They each are going toe-to-toe, with Orr landing some solid rights. They continue to exchange rights, and one of Orr's punches knocks off McGrattan's helmet. They each continue to exchange rights, with some solid punches connecting by each combatant. Orr switches to his left, connecting with a couple, while McGrattan continues to throw rights. Orr switches back to his right, and they continue to exchange. After that, Orr loses his balance, and they fall to the ice with McGrattan on top.

Nice fight, Orr early, McGrattan late, Draw.

Draw. Good fight.

Posted by smash1 on December 09, 2007 at 08:34 PM

two of the leagues best going toe to toe . both landed great shots. you could go either way and not be wrong it was that close. i gave them a draw in the best fight of the year so far.

Posted by Tony D on October 14, 2007 at 03:15 PM

orr clearly won the first part of the fight, then McGrattan started landing a flurry of punches, and then Orr came back with a good shot before they both tired. Great fight, very close overall Orr landed more shots but I must call it a draw.

Posted by mous on October 16, 2007 at 02:18 PM

orr at the start mcgrattan at the finish

Posted by cabsf15e on October 14, 2007 at 03:25 AM

Best fight I've seen thus far this year! Orr owned the first half of the fight and then McGrattan won the secong half. Looked like Orr ran out of gas at the half-way point when McGrattan started to take over. Just before the fight ended, Orr threw a wild haymaker that actually grazed McGrattan's beak which is probably good for McGrattan...had that shot landed flush it would've been lights out!! Great fight, done the right way by two heavyweights...I have to call it a draw.

McGrattan edge

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on February 08, 2013 at 11:44 PM

McGratten was fresher and it showed. He outlasted Orr for the victory.

Posted by goonery31 on October 14, 2007 at 12:41 AM

Good scrap!Orr looked good early but McGratton took control after that.

Posted by AntonTucker on October 15, 2007 at 07:07 AM

McGrattan is tough. Too bad he never plays.

Posted by Bjaymore on October 14, 2007 at 04:57 AM

Nice Bout! I really gotta give it to McGrattan but it wasclose

Posted by marsalo4 on May 22, 2008 at 09:19 PM

two real tough guys

Posted by Redtown on October 14, 2007 at 12:45 PM

McGrattan had control of 3/4 of this fight. Orr hung in there but never had the upper hand past the 1/4 mark in this fight spending most of the fight off balance

Posted by pharroch on October 18, 2007 at 02:20 PM

Notice Orr jumped off the bench to fight and McGratton was at the end of a shift, just for that I give the edge to McGratton.

Posted by stumpysnapshot on October 14, 2007 at 03:21 PM

Orr gave it to him a little early, but MCgratts turned it on towards the end. I give it to McGraaton based on the finish, but defintely not a clear win. Ok fight.

Posted by BENNETTWOLF on October 15, 2007 at 03:49 PM

Very good fight between two of the circuits young but established top tenners. Orr early but McGrattan takes over late to win on volume. It looks as if occaisionally Orr''s lack of height and reach can hamper him vs the bigger guys.. Very good one and a fine showing by both.

Posted by Riomouse911 on October 14, 2007 at 01:25 AM

Hmm. Orr had the upper hand at the start, but Mc G outlasted him and put him down. Based on this, I think Mc G gets a 10-9 decision.

Posted by chl37 on October 15, 2007 at 02:11 PM

good fight. mcgattan the better.

Posted by Jack Schitt on October 14, 2007 at 10:17 AM

Edge Gratts. Some real bombs by both in a good scrap.

Posted by Juha82 on October 14, 2007 at 01:55 PM

Orr early, but McGrattan's very strong ending. McGrattan gets a narrow win.

Posted by Nightmare on February 13, 2008 at 11:20 AM

Love to see the heavyweights slugging it out...very gutsy. Orr early with the big right, excellant job by McGrattan to shake it off and hang in to take control of the fight. McGrattan wins this close decision...helluva fight between two of the best.

Posted by slysi on July 20, 2016 at 04:38 PM

Edge to McGatten who came on in the late stages and got the take-down

Posted by specko on October 15, 2007 at 09:41 AM

Great fight, typical heavy hitter fight. Grats finished WAY stronger, GO 16!

Posted by enforcer55 on October 14, 2007 at 09:18 AM

Great Fight. Mcgrattan with the upper hand though, just by a bit.

Posted by Jellyczar on March 30, 2015 at 09:50 PM

Gratts with the slight edge in a war...

Posted by bytownslugger41 on March 28, 2008 at 01:49 PM

McGrattan's too good! Nobody wants to fight him anymore. There have been some times where everyone pushes and crap, Brian comes in and the other team pisses off. Bunch of cowards!

Posted by BStreetBullies on October 14, 2007 at 04:38 PM

Great fight... Orr did a real good job of connecting with those rights over Gratts' arm. But I gotta give it to McGrattan for finishing strong and earing the W.

Posted by averybear on April 08, 2008 at 10:31 PM

good fight by both edge to McGrattan

Posted by dave25 on October 14, 2007 at 09:44 AM

orr gets going rearly but mcgrattan outlasts him and finishes better for the win, great fight

Posted by mokan33 on October 14, 2007 at 03:32 AM

Orr started off great, but McGrattan finished stronger.McGrattan with the takedown!

Posted by loose cannon on October 16, 2007 at 12:39 PM

Great fight, but the edge goes to McGrattan for landing more punches & being the agressor. Very close though.

Great toe to toe bout between two of the best. Fight of the year so far.

Posted by WhiskeyJoe on October 14, 2007 at 09:59 AM

Great fight - 2 warriors putting on a great show for the crowd

Posted by powpow on October 15, 2007 at 08:50 AM

Great tilt...both guys landed big shots. It looks like Mcgratts lands a very hard shot when they swap around that stuned Orr a bit. DRAW and no other way to call it when 2 monsters go like this.

Posted by plum29 on October 14, 2007 at 03:30 PM

fight of the year. the heavyweight division remains king!

Posted by 5minutescrap on October 14, 2007 at 08:47 PM

Great fight! Both got some good shots in, but decision to McGrattan. he just got a few more clean shots than Orr.

Posted by mvigs on October 14, 2007 at 01:27 PM

Awesome fight. I thought Orr was going to woop Gratts but, but the Ottawa toughie came back and won the fight.

Posted by bigdude on October 16, 2007 at 09:53 AM

McGrattan all the way. Orr landed a couple at the beginning, but got the worst of it after that.

Posted by Formerref on October 14, 2007 at 08:05 AM

Grats wins this one hands down, great shots by both. Fantastic fight!

Posted by waylont1 on October 13, 2007 at 10:39 PM

Great Fight

Posted by BattleAxe13 on October 14, 2007 at 07:54 PM

I was hoping to see these two go at it, very evenly matched, great fight. McGrattan gets a slight edge, it looked like Colton was worn out.

Posted by ottawaneedscujo on April 30, 2008 at 01:08 PM

Brian destoryed

Posted by LetsGoNJDevils on May 23, 2008 at 04:09 PM

This was the best fight I've seen. Very close but I think that McGratten fought very good. I hate the Rangers (including Orr) so that's why I didn't vote for Orr.

Posted by spiderlakeDave on July 20, 2016 at 03:22 AM

Orr early. but McGratten was relentless and showed the better beard and had Orr hanging on and dazed. Mcgratten TKO

Posted by wallysy1 on October 14, 2007 at 10:14 AM

lot of misses /lot land, seems like a draw. if any edge to mcgratton since he finished stronger, but cant say either guy would be afraid to fight the other again based on this.

Posted by OriginalSix on October 17, 2008 at 05:55 PM

I gave this win to Orr. He clearly landed more punches.

Posted by bugeatsdirtx on January 26, 2008 at 10:03 PM

both hung in there a long time and landed a lot of punches, they were getting tired but they probably could have kept going... draw

Posted by aj99ny on October 15, 2007 at 02:18 PM

Great fight. Orr with a great start and more punches landed. McGrattan better towards the end. I have to give the biased edge to Orr. Best fight of the year so far. Now if only Orr could teach Dubinsky a thing or 2 so he doesnt get his head taken off.

Posted by Diehardfan419 on October 13, 2007 at 11:51 PM

Very close fight. Excelent job by Orr early on. Mcgratten came on in the middle of the fight then Orr caught him with a couple of big shots. Kudos to both guys. Almost have to call it a draw. Best fight ive seen this year as far as closeness.

Posted by pilotpelkie on October 14, 2007 at 11:26 AM

right from the start Orr got the upper hand and although gratts came back mid way, Orr still landed more heavy shots

Posted by Plateworker on October 14, 2007 at 09:47 PM

Inall honesty watching it for the 6th time it seems Gratts threw more but landed less alot of his punches come up short. In the beginning Orr hit him with some real solid shots including one that knocked his helmet off. edge Orr in a great fight

Posted by Bigsnapple7 on October 14, 2007 at 01:38 PM

orr deff have the edge in this fight... he cleary landed twice the amount of shots that grats did.

Posted by capsfloors on October 15, 2007 at 07:30 AM

Orr early...McGrattan late...think McGrattan missed alot of his punches late...Very close fight...Winner Orr...

Posted by jd99gtNYR on October 14, 2007 at 08:24 PM

After watching this again and again. I have to dispute the people who told me I have homer eyes. Orr started early and landed the best shots of the fight, and wasn't "owned" in the second half. To judge a fight, you must count the whole fight. Orr won a better portion of the fight. It was close, but orr still landed a few punches at the end, Gratts landed some in the end the just tackled Orr after he landed a solid left to Gratts. I still say win ORR

Posted by mAnYsTyLeS on October 14, 2007 at 09:18 PM

Colton dominated the first half of the fight and then McGrattan took over at the end. Colton Orr was throwing punches in his portion (1st half) where McGrattan was just jersey-swinging Orr in his portion (2nd half). My vote goes to Colton...especially because he's shorter and it's much more difficult to fight someone who is taller (for those of you who never actually fought in your lives but who are quick to judge..lol).

Posted by tristan16 on October 15, 2007 at 10:52 AM

i think Orr had better landing punches and just missed the K.O. punch that could have sendt McGratton to the moon.

Posted by SirYohans on January 07, 2008 at 10:08 PM

STOP THE RANGER HATE, PEOPLE! IT IS STARTING TO BLUR YOUR VISION... Are we all watching the same fight? Orr landed the more solid punches. Am i seeing things, or were McGat's punches mostly hitting Orr's shoulder or just grazing his helmet. I only saw 1 or 2 of his punches connect well. Mean while Orr landed plenty (A ton early on, including the helmet popper). LETS BE REAL... I call it a draw (And I'm being kind) with an edge to Orr. PERIOD.

Posted by kitcarnut on October 15, 2007 at 07:07 PM

No clear cut winner,by two game scrappers.

Posted by Nordberg on October 19, 2007 at 10:22 AM

A draw on my heavyweight card. McGrattan ate the harder shots, but outpointed Orr in the later rounds. have a feeling they'll face off again.

Posted by trueblue3044 on November 04, 2007 at 12:45 PM

very good fight. orr had the beginning of the bout but mcgrattan had the upper hand the second half.

Posted by PittPens1787 on May 17, 2008 at 11:42 PM

Orr won the beginning, McGratton the end. Draw.

Posted by Adambruinsfan on October 14, 2007 at 07:37 PM

Posted by foiledup on March 01, 2008 at 11:41 AM

Great heavyweight bout. Draw. Both fighters landed some great punches.

Posted by bob_like_fudge on October 14, 2007 at 12:02 PM

Posted by fexy21 on October 17, 2007 at 05:58 AM

just edge to mcgratton, he took some big shots at the start and came back can't wait to see these 2 and BGL this season :) great fight

Posted by Zodijackyl on January 20, 2008 at 04:33 AM

Orr got a lot of heavy hits early on, McGrattan took quite a few swings but they weren't very good shots, close match but Orr has the edge due to knocking the helmet off and getting a lot of strong shots in.

Posted by FyrKyllr on October 14, 2007 at 01:34 PM

Great fight! Both had some good hits, Orr in the beggining and McGrattan in the end. Am I the only one who hates the way these new jerseys come up so much during fights?

Posted by 3430 on October 15, 2007 at 01:01 PM

Good HW scrap...

Posted by mikebflorida on October 15, 2007 at 10:23 AM

Wow, a real head kncoker. First half to Orr, second half to McGrats. A solid draw with a slight edge to Mcgrattan who got the take down, showed better stamina but both can take a punch very well and can deliver them very well. Great fight with nothing settled. Look for the rematch soon.

Posted by NYRFREAK11719 on December 30, 2007 at 08:42 PM

good fight, very close. have to give that a draw

Posted by Wolf_eyes on February 28, 2008 at 12:22 AM

Orr lands more clean punches. Pay attention!

Posted by terrystheman on October 14, 2007 at 02:35 PM

Orr landed the better shots, good thing Gratts has a chin.

Posted by Sukoshi84 on October 13, 2007 at 11:38 PM

great fight colton came up short a few times but also landed a few in the begining.......but McGratts took over the last 35 seconds and just punished orr

Posted by shane0mack on October 14, 2007 at 03:37 AM

orr got in the first few punches - enough to get mcgrattans helmet off, but from then on, it's all mcgrattan - gotta give him the win. good fight tho. and good to see the rangers being taught some lessons.
