Stewy with the win in a hot one...
in this heated tilt, gotta give the slight nod to Stewart for testing the rookie behemoth and makin him bleed even though he was close to taking some real damage from Kurtis' heavy cylinders.. man hockey is back in this tussle... #10 FTW
I can see why people have it so close, but I gotta give it to MacDermid. Stewart started strong, but didn't seem to land with the same kind of power as MacDermid.
OH YEAH!!! WAY TO GO BOYS! THAT"S HOW IT"S DONE!!! DRAW AND 8 FOR BOTH GUYS!
I gave it a 5 and a draw. Both gave it a good go.
good fight...draw on 2nd look i thought stewart did enough early to take the win but even though macdermid landed mostly on stewart's shoulder pad he landed a couple good shots as well after he switched hands and got better grip on stewart macdermid is proving himself as legit heavyweight this season but i dont think there's reason for a guy with such a reach-advantage to fight with his head turned the other way like he did at the beginning...gave it a 7
Gotta vote draw. Stewart started strong MacDermid finished strong
One hell of an evenly-matched fight.
Stewart early, but MacDermid finishes strong. It would have been more highly rated as a fight if both players dropped the helmets.
Good fight by two big tough guys.Edge to MacDermid!
MacDermid lands more lobs than Stewart can steward, but the older man with the lesser numeral on his jersey shows class with a shot that ends the affair, by tapping the new kid on the pad with an appreciation for sandwiches, albeit of the knuckle variety.
No hugfest here! Stewart gave it his all, much respect....but MacDermid finished it with some bombs. MadDermid with the win.
I liked that switch up to the left from Stewart at the beginning, I think Dermid landed a couple more. Pretty even all around.
Kurtis is a jack-hammer.
Lots of plastic harmed in this one. Great start by Stewart, but middle went to MacDermid who also landed the heavier blows. No blood as plastic doesn't bleed. Ever so slight edge for the more solid punches to the rook though neither had reason to believe they had the decision..
Stewart started well, but MacD came back strong.
Gotta give that one too Macdermid for landing some cannons in the end. Stewart started out nice bit ate some in the end. Great fight
Nice tilt ,would have liked to see the lids drop , never the less pretty good scrap . Draw and a 7
Tough call. At first, I was leaning toward MacDermid for those shots nearer the end, but there was no clear winner, IMHO.
nice job by both. DRAW.
Draw...really good tilt.
So far, both of Stewart's fights this season have been two of the best all year. He got off to a fast start here, but MacDermid came back to even it up with some really big shots landed. I think Stewart just edged him out at the end with that last bit of offense, bloodying up MacDermid's mouth, giving him the very narrow win. Great fight from both of these guys.
dam
Mac with the win outlanded Stewart 3 to 1
Good tilit boys
Great fight Stewart early Mac late draw!
Great tilt. Both of em landed some good shots. Calling it a draw due to the damage seen on both
great tilt by two tuff guys. Stewart held his own against the bigger Irish man.
I hate the visor rule. Still. After all this time. MacDermid beat up Stewart's helmet in this one.
The Visor man loose.
The visor saved Kurtis brain from a bashing
To me, this seemed like a decisive win for Stewart. Dude can fight. Right up there with Bieksa as best pound for pound fighter in the league
I think you gotta watch this one a few times to get an accurate take. First look for me was all Stewie, but after a couple views it was obvious that McD landed a couple nice ones. Gave it a 7 with the slight edge going to Stewart.
Great battle ... stewy early ... MacD late... slightest edge to Stewart with more shots even though MacD had some some heavy bobms (that did not connect)
Stewart gets the nod in my books Love seeing body shots in hockey fights, don't know why
Two tough customers throwing hands in this one. Both guys with some damage and Stewie comes away with the slight nod. I wouldn't argue a Draw.
A long even tussle advantage Stewie ~~
draw
Good ole decent scrap here
Stewart narrowly sneaks out a victory with more effective punches
draw
Stewart Started with a great Jab, Ended it with a Big Right Knockdown..
really crap fight.
Stewart active early and often, MacDermid coming back with big shots through visor-confidence, and Stewart ending it with another solid punch that drops "KMac" to his knees. Solid fight, win Stewart and a 7. A big win for ear-punches.
A long and spirited fight. I have to edge Stewart here but, just barely. Overall solid 7.
A draw if I ever saw one. On a side note: Justin Turdo's gotta go. The destroyer of all that is Canada lives up to the name of his traitorous father. He has nice hair though...
Awesome fight. Two opponents banging away at each other. Who wins? It’s the hockey fight fans!! Leave it to a fu€k (duck) fan to sully this great fight with a Queens reference...Very clever dipshi+, because we’ve never heard that one before. Check Yle news queer, Big Mac must wear the shield...yeah it’s a rule this weird rule here in the NHL...I believe all the Euros are doing it for awhile. Obtain a bit of knowledge before you drop some smack. Queens? Hey pal this isn’t Trapped or Swamp soccer, this is North American hockey try to keep up! A quacker fan that comes from Finland... I truly enjoy how on his profile that he entered Finland (Europe)... because I was a bit fuzzy on that one and remember in 5th grade geography when I wrote down Finland, (Central American) so thank you Magellan for clearing up that brain buster. .. man I could just simply keep going, easy pick-ins. So sad to see a self proclaimed Oilers fan sound just as ignorant...but hey friend you’ve come to the right place because this is a brain donor paradise and you’ll fit right in with memorable phrases like “visor man loose.” ....okay “loose??” Where is he going? Trying to recollect the last time I “loosed” Perhaps when I was doing the whole Jack Kerouac thing and received a ticket for dropping a #1 off the side of a interstate freeway... I definitely “loosed” on that one. Please look back into hockey’s hallowed antiquity and to the summer of 2013 when the NHL's Competition Committee came up with this weird rule...wake up people, (well it’s been four years, but who’s counting) and welcome to the game of hockey.
Watch the fight closely kids, Stewart's early punches were not reaching, as soon as MacDermid started swinging he controlled the fight. One of the best so far. I will give slight edge for the flurry to MacDermid.
Very even bout, with reasonable arguments for a W for either guy. But let's get real (and to paraphrase @sedinfan) this was exclusively knuckles on plastic and NOT a classic battle. Draw and a 5.
again one Queens(kings) "enforcer"(with visor) get his ass kicked. Winner Stewart
Unfortunately, that was mostly a beat up the other guys helmet contest. You know fighting has deteriorated when a fight like that ranks as a 7.5 plus
