The fight breakdown
Nicolas Deslauriers comes in and finishes his check on Kurtis MacDermid and then the two former roommates start jawing with each other. As the play moves up the ice they continue to interact. They square off and the play is whistled down.
MacDermid begins to take off his helmet strap and the ref and linesman makes sure he doesn't do that. Little build up with both guys limbering up as they inch together. As they finally grab onto each other, Deslauriers throws the first few punches with nothing landing. Jersey jabs from MacDermid as he uses the reach advantage to keep blocking Deslauriers punches. Then the fists start flying with little to no defense.
