My boy Wilson punished Sill, but only because Downey and LaPierre would not take him on (and it was after all "Zach Sill" -- not quite McGrattan). Blah, blah, blah, he is only 20 and he is willing, but he is still not elite. I like his spirit and toughness, but he needs to get a bit better to be top notch. But, clear win for Wilson

Wilson with the total beat down. This was the third guy he tried to fight and the first taker. Caps are trying to do anything to break their losing streak.

Shut up Pierre

Tom Wilson w/ the decisive W, but Sill was game the entire dance. Respect!

Posted by steakbelly8000 on January 31, 2015 at 03:49 AM

Wilson is sloppy and wild, and I'm not sure he landed any of those shots, and if the refs don't get in there, that wuss Sill would've probably dropped him... Two gasbags throwing muffins out there, lol......

Posted by majwho on January 29, 2015 at 09:20 AM

Way too early of a stoppage. Once that sweater came off his head, they should've backed up. For as many shots as Wilson threw, how many landed?

Posted by first 6 on January 29, 2015 at 01:56 PM

Wilson knocks Sill's lid off then attempted to knock his head off. Penquins need to concentrate on scoring goals cause they can't fight worth a damn.

Well well well... Finally... Could this be the real Tom Wilson that one of my favourite posters KK speaks of? Impressive! Ok...it's only Zach Sill but still... at least I can finally see signs of where you're comng from

Posted by SOMDHockeycoach on January 29, 2015 at 04:38 PM

I love Wilson's heart but his style is definitely lacking. He throws straight arm punches like windmills and is bound to get hurt (shoulders, elbows) soon doing that. The fact that the Capitals rely on him as a heavy is sad because of his age and style. He got smoked by Prout and it could have been ALOT worse. That said, the kid is a LOAD when he is forechecking properly.

Posted by flyerguy on January 29, 2015 at 07:58 AM

Sill isn't very tough when he has to fight guy's not named Raffl. You stay a pu**y Sill. Penguins got their a**es handed to them by both the Flyers and Caps, but hey Pittsburgh, You go keep signing dirty players

Posted by Caps44 on February 18, 2015 at 09:33 AM

completely one-sided. No wonder Sill didn't fight the most recent game in Pittsburgh against the Caps

Posted by barks1513 on January 28, 2015 at 09:09 PM

I give it to Wilson for being the aggresser. Other than a body shot nothing landed. Lots thrown few land.

Posted by gsrae on January 28, 2015 at 10:45 PM

Wilson with a beat down on Sill.

Posted by Mpatrick329 on January 29, 2015 at 11:13 AM

Sill once again proves that he should not fight.

Posted by mudman55 on January 30, 2015 at 12:19 PM

Wilson got the jump, and that was pretty much that. Sill was so busy trying to be evasive that he couldn't really counter.

Posted by Mike2013 on January 28, 2015 at 11:45 PM

Sill didn't even get to throw a punch, completely dominated by Wilson.

Posted by bigmike53 on January 28, 2015 at 10:13 PM

Wilson dominates Sill and gets the nod here.

Posted by burnsy9 on January 30, 2015 at 02:01 PM

Sill is horrible. Never threw a single punch!

Posted by Jordybats99 on December 19, 2016 at 05:24 PM

Win Wilson.

Wilson killed him!!

Wilson dominates, not close

Posted by Mounty in NC on August 01, 2021 at 02:42 PM

Wilson wins the fight but he is such a bitch... like he always tries to do against others who can somewhat fight, he starts throwing punches before the other player even has a chance to get ready. Wilson and a 4

Wilson just overwhelmed Sill in this one. Sill had no chance.

Posted by Langway on January 28, 2015 at 11:18 PM

Wilson completely dominated Sill. Was beautiful to watch.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on January 29, 2015 at 11:11 PM

Man Wilson was out for blood in this one. Sill was content to just duck and hide. That was as close to turtling I've ever seen without actually turtling.

Posted by SensRSwag on January 28, 2015 at 09:28 PM

Wow sill did well against stoner but really got his ass kicked by Wilson.

Posted by Sportaholic on January 29, 2015 at 10:44 AM

The only part of this fight that Zach Sill "won" was the race to take off his helmet first. I guess that's worth 4% of the vote...

Posted by SEMO_Yogi on January 28, 2015 at 08:54 PM

Wilson in a clearly deceive win. Bad choice of dance partners on SIll's part.

Posted by kyhammer on January 29, 2015 at 12:12 AM

I like Wilson. Clear beat down put on another Penguin. How is that finesse team working out now? What a difference a few years make.

Posted by Great Murray on January 29, 2015 at 07:30 AM

The 20 year old kids wears an alleged Pittsburgh tough guy out. "Tough Guy?" Yikes! Crosby Mom is tougher. Washington did the same thing Philly did...they applied the muscle and Pittsburgh folded like a cheap tent.

Posted by King of Goons on January 30, 2015 at 01:03 PM

Silly gets completely humiliated by Wilson. He had more lumps on his head than hair after that clobbering he took. I think Sill, somehow, thinks he's an "enforcer". Don't know what gave him that idea.

Posted by EK65 on January 29, 2015 at 07:10 PM

Win Wilson & 6 20 years old huh?

Posted by English_Bruin on January 29, 2015 at 11:55 AM

Such was the intensity of Wilsons attack, Sill admitted at the end that he never got going.

Posted by Stirling on January 28, 2015 at 10:37 PM

Linesman jump in a bit early but Wilson took early lead and was still pushing Sill up against the boards.

Posted by hack27 on January 29, 2015 at 07:44 AM

I heard it on the radio, glad to see it was as good a performance by Wilson as it sounded. I really like this kid on the Caps.

Posted by mpagano22 on January 29, 2015 at 04:59 PM

Not even close.

Wilson comes out aggressive and throwing haymakers. Sill goes on Defense quickly and manages to avoid any major damage, however the jersey over Sill's head may have saved him as the zebras rush in.

Posted by Justafan1958 on January 29, 2015 at 09:00 AM

Neither Downie nor Lapierre would take in Wilson, and start to finish Wilson just creamed him. Two bouts two dominating wins rounded out a pretty fine night for the Caps.

Posted by Jmo27 on January 29, 2015 at 09:21 AM

poor Sill never had a chance. Wilson pounced on him and never let up. Had Sill been able to compose himself this might have ended differently.

Posted by PapaCherry on January 28, 2015 at 09:10 PM

Wilson took Sill to school on that one...

Posted by DanielleinDC on January 28, 2015 at 11:59 PM

I know, Barry Trotz would like Wilson to fight less, but sometimes you just gotta answer the call, and Tom Wilson just SMOKED Zach Sill.

Posted by slysi on January 29, 2015 at 10:41 PM

Sill better stop greasing his hair or get a tighter helmet ...he is always loosing it ....means more bruises and less hand pain for the opponent

Posted by lehmanj23 on January 29, 2015 at 06:40 AM

Still was dominated by Wilson

Posted by gogrg on January 30, 2015 at 11:24 AM

Wilson is one of the best heavyweights in the league, he can throw bomb after bomb after bomb.

Posted by tom_moore90 on January 28, 2015 at 10:50 PM

Big Willy domination

Posted by pathayes2k on February 11, 2015 at 11:49 PM

WILLY! Go Caps!

Posted by falopiantube on January 29, 2015 at 05:31 PM

refs ruin another fight... Sill was coming on strong at the end and refs stopped his comeback.

Posted by buzzgun2000 on January 29, 2015 at 01:17 PM

While Wilson got the jump on Sill, I also believe that if it were not for the jersey coming up, the fight may have taken a different turn in the second half.

Posted by travist on January 29, 2015 at 06:53 PM

wilson with the jump and W

Posted by Amerkfan8 on February 14, 2015 at 04:24 PM

Wilson lays a beating.

Posted by Clowes ABeast29 on January 29, 2015 at 03:11 PM

I wish the Sharks would trade for wilson this guy would fit in on the 3rd line great not the 4th and sometiimes being a scratch he could be set loose and he could get more playing time and develop love this kid zach sill 2 fights 0 punches thrown?

Posted by DARCY T on January 29, 2015 at 02:17 PM

wilson was in control and throwing wild rights but he barely connected with anything other than shoulder and fuccing linesmen broke it up again when it really started to be interesting.wilson seemed to be in trouble and sill fed him with2 lefts when linesmen stepped in.i cant call this one

Posted by Todokaos on January 29, 2015 at 09:46 AM

Am I the only person that thinks this fight sucked? Visor bitch practicing his shadow boxing?

Posted by Humper on January 28, 2015 at 09:24 PM

No question who won this, but - despite all his flailing - Wilson didn't really do much damage, with his punches missing any critical areas. Regardless, Sill looked very ineffective.

Posted by yngblonde1 on January 29, 2015 at 09:06 AM

Wilson knew he was on the ice to fight as soon as the puck dropped. He won the fight but grabbed Sill before Sill was facing him.Wilson seems to be a tough kid and with the majority of the true heavy weight enforcers not signed and out of the league this season he has a shot at being a true tough guy.Maybe next time these teams meet he will not land two punches to a guy before the guy squares off against him.

Posted by doobi1 on January 29, 2015 at 08:38 AM

Wilson the schmuck had a chance to square off with Lapierre, but chose a lesser opponent and is yet another of the capital cowards in the league. This team really enjoys bullying. It makes them horny for each other. I'll bet Ovie gave him a BJ after the game.
