Can't stand Vancouver, however it is not about the colour of the jersey, winner Bitz.

Win Bitz for landing the only punches of the fight. He's been a good addition so far since getting called up, adding a nice addition of size, grit and skill to the Nucks forwards. Classy move by Bitz for not hammering McLeod when he was down after the first roundhouse. You Boston fans make me laugh. Yes, you're right, Bitz did used to play for the Bruins. Great observation. Now, do you ever mention that two of your toughest players in Chara and Thornton were picked up from other organizations? Also, two of the biggest heros in Boston hockey history, are Milan Lucic and Cam Neely, who just happen to be from Vancouver's lower mainland. Does this mean that there's no tough hockey players actually born in Boston and you have to draft Vancouverites because of it? C'mon guys, figure it out for fukk sakes! Great making comparisons when one of the subjects has yet to be given a chance to prove his worth come playoff time. Talk about stupid. But I'm sure that Boston fans appreciate a Flamers fan who knows pretty much nothing about hockey trying to defend their team. No sense in Boston trying to acquire those church vandalizers from the Vancouver area as those guilty of the crime obviously weren't Canucks fans as they spelt the teams name wrong. They are quite obviously 14 year old inbreds from Alberta who came here with their meth addicted mothers to live off the system in BC. Although I'm not religious in the least, it was shameful what those hicks did to a hometown boys church. Although, it's not as bad as that naked Flamers fan jumping on the ice in Calgary years ago, exposing himself to hundreds, if not thousands, of young children who were in the arena that night. That's all class right there. And that's much worse than some cow tipper from Cowtown spray painting some graffiti on a church wall. I guess time will tell how much time Bitz will get in the playoffs but I'd be willing to bet that he will be at the very least a guy who will make his presence felt, providing that he's healthy. Great observation StalkClairey, the Bruins won the cup...which is exactly why they don't need a loser like you trying to defend them. You've proven time and time again that you know nothing about hockey or pretty much anything for that matter. Boston fans might be a lot of things, but uneducated about hockey is not one of them. Sorry, for you but you can't say the same. My spelling is just fine thank you. Sure, I might have the odd spelling mistake but that's because, unlike you, I don't have the same guy who changes my diapers daily, proof read my posts. Are you really questioning my spelling ability StalkClaire? This coming from a guy who sends himself messages on his own profile? This coming from a guy who uses made up words such as braindeadedness? This coming from a guy who doesn't know what the word punk means? This coming from the guy who doesn't know what prospect means? I could go on, but I think I've proved my point. What a dolt!

Fight was average, but I couldn't agree more on that annoying flippin ad.

Posted by Lucic_Power on February 16, 2012 at 12:14 AM

Bitz on Control of fight and only good punch. Bitz too big for Mcleod.

Posted by mudman55 on February 17, 2012 at 07:53 AM

Props to Bitzie for letting him back up. Although McLeod probably wishes he stayed down. McLeod probably has whiplash from that right. Anytime the crowd goes "oooooh!" you know a solid one was landed.

holy shit c'mon hockeyfights.com get rid of that stupid 100,000 visitor ad. Congratulations you won, damn thats annoying. On to the fight: Kind of boring, ackward. edge to Bitz good effort by both guys.

Posted by ironface on March 31, 2012 at 06:40 PM

Looks like Bitz has been working on his technique while in the minors the last couple of years....NOT!!! Hard to believe he was on the B's first line for a while. Of course, as bad as Bitz is what does it say about McLeod who lost to him?

Posted by Behn Wilson on February 16, 2012 at 11:15 PM

The lesser of the league's two, Cody Mc's, gets knocked over, solely by the wind of the new, and improved, ''Bitzeska's'' first punch... then, ill-advisedly, get up, only to get seriously pasted by an actual right hand bomb.

Posted by Canner on February 16, 2012 at 03:49 PM

Mac got Bitzslapped, but Nucks fans should not be getting woodies just yet... We saw this from BB in Beanville when he grappled Donny huggybear to a draw, and then proceeded to lose the few fights he had after that one... He will get you excited with his size and early days grit but then you're waiving at him as the Greyhound pulls out of the station to take him back to Tulsa or wherever the nucks farmhards play......

Bitz with the win, McLeod never got anything off.

Posted by GreatMurray on February 16, 2012 at 06:32 AM

Bitz landed the only punch but it was a good one. He wins.

Posted by TommyGun29 on February 16, 2012 at 11:21 AM

One good punch by BB and surprisingly, Cmac took it like a champ. Win Bitz.

Posted by Bakes923 on February 17, 2012 at 12:10 AM

One punch landed, but it was a bomb!!! Bitz with the win!!

Posted by YorkAve on February 16, 2012 at 12:47 AM

Posted by rocky 1 on February 16, 2012 at 11:18 AM

Downed twice in the same fight once by slip and second by a punch McLeod gets beat by Bitz!

Posted by tyrone on February 15, 2012 at 11:23 PM

McLoud got his a$$ handed to him. Haha

Posted by jnk07899 on February 16, 2012 at 11:14 AM

Man, I like this Byron Bitz! Gives Vancouver that toughness that they need to compete with teams like Boston. Unanimous decision to Bitz.

Posted by kkdowning on February 17, 2012 at 12:15 AM

the mystery punch felled McLeod, but the second right landed

Posted by Oil Can Henry on February 16, 2012 at 02:08 PM

...Hard to tell which guy sucks more - just 2 stiffs goin' at it,...

Posted by claire alexande on February 22, 2012 at 03:42 PM

Bitz lands only punch so gets the win, but the way Capuke fans carry on you'd think they never see their players ever win fights and therefore grasp at straws. It's kind of stupid to compare the desperation acquisition of a guy (any guy!)who has ever thrown a punch in a fight with the acquisition of two genuine players who actually contributed to a Stanley Cup victory. I suppose Boston will be acquiring church vandalizers from the Vancouver area next to "punish" Boston-bred players who've acheived success elsewhere. _________ How much ice time do you really think Bitz will get in the playoffs (assuming he's still with the team then)? Bruins won the Cup boyo; they don't need anyone defending them, especially from a know-nothing such as yourself. Given your own spelling ability, it's kind of comical to suggest an incorrect spelling of the Capukes means the person couldn't be a Nuck fan

I hate Vancouver, but I still like Bitz, he was good for us here in Boston, and it's good to see him win one.

Posted by SouthPaw017 on February 17, 2012 at 02:03 AM

Bitz with a right hand that made McLeod wish he was back on the Suite Life with Zack & Cody.....

Posted by chad420 on February 16, 2012 at 10:32 AM

win Bitzie...2-0 since his call-up...too bad he's with the enemy now

Posted by sheazo on February 19, 2012 at 02:42 PM

It's nice to see a player finally respond on vancouver. Bitz use to play for BOSTON.

Posted by Jay617 on February 16, 2012 at 02:07 AM

It figures that it takes a former Boston Bruin to add any kind of (minimal) toughness to the canucks. It goes to Bitzie

Posted by fcm on February 15, 2012 at 11:13 PM

Win Bitz
