Great showing by Rypien. This guy has some great fighting skills. As long as he can play some defence, he should avoid getting rocked by the big lads. Good job Rick!!!

And Little Ricky once again pounds on another Giant. Gill should not fight at all. He sucks.

Way to go, Ricky boy! Rick caught Gill with a few nice punches that clearly stung the big guy. It wasn't a domination but Rypien won this fight because he had Gill running for cover and plus, for those two or three good shots that he landed compared to Gills none.

Rypien is one of the best "little" guys around, and Gill is one of the worst "big" guys.

Hal Gill still has NO skill, whether it's playing defense or fighting. He should have stuck with football...thank god he's not a Bruin anymore!! Heck of a job by Rypien...talk about David vs. Goliath!!

Give it to Rypien. He landed the better shots against the much bigger man.

Some big guys don't have to fight often (like Chara) and here we have an example of a big guy who doesn't fight often, simply because he isn't very good at it. I'm sure that everywhere he has played the fans wanted Big Hal to be an enforcer, but that just isn't his thing, whereas Rypien demonstrates his excellent fighting skills yet again.

I can't think of a more skilled fighter in the league right now, just too bad Rypien wasn't bigger, as eventually he is going to meet up with a big bruiser and take some shots. For my money he is the best middleweight in the league. People on this site throw out Asham and Carcillo (even Clarkson), but those guys are all over 200 and have to be in the light heavy category. This guy is maybe 175, lower weight class in my books, but sure fun to watch.

No winner for sure in this fight. Love how rypien held his own agaqinst the bigger opponent. And for the Idiots saying Gill has no skill, Look who is wearing a Stanley Cup ring. Get a pair of glasses and watch rather then comment blindly.

Rypien is the best technical fighter since Dody Wood. Gill should pick on someone........................well, even smaller.

Didnt think rypien was going to do as well as he did against Gill, but he did, and he DEFENITLY had the decision in this fight, hands down, gill is gunna think twice before he goes up against the pitbull again.

Rypien with the win here. It's too bad that Rypien doesn't have his own weight class of fighters to fight. I think that it's safe to say that he can wipe out the under 200 pound division which leads him to only get into fights with guys that are much bigger than him. That's not his fault. For those of you who actually watched the game, it was BGL who turned Rypien down and not the other way around. It's a good thing too because although Rippers the toughest pound for pound out there, picking a fight with the HW champ wouldn't be the smartest of moves but then again, that's one of the reasons the Nucks fans love that little dude because of his fearlessness.
