Gave the win to Reich, though, Rypien covering up doesn't mean he's getting "dummied" or was done. He just happens to know how to fight and block punches. Check out his fight with Stortini last year and watch him block with his left arm and then fire right back. But yeah, he did look out of gas in this one. He can't win all of 'em heh

Very nice. Rypien had the edge early, but Reich came back with a vengeance. Callin' a draw.

Rypien gets kicked out of a face off by the official and goes and line's up beside Reich. They start shoving at each other straight away and when the puck is dropped they both automatically dropped their gloves and grabbed a hold of each other.

Rypien quickly got his right hand going landing a number of fast punches on Reich. Reich then came back with a few rights before both guys switched quickly to their left hands. Both guys then swapped a few left hands each, both landing but Reich seems to be getting the upper hand at this stage of the fight.

Reich then lands a few jersey jabs and Rypien comes back with four more straight lefts before Reich lands a left to Rypien's body and then lands a big straight left hand that stuns Rypien and the Canucks tough guy covers up. Reich then lands two more solid lefts and the lino's come in and end the fight as Rypien is still covering up.

Very good fight between these two guys but Reich clearly wins the fight. Reich clearly landed the better punches and was in control at the end with Rypien covering up, so I'm giving Reich the clear win in this fight.

Clear win Reich.

A good close fight with Reich taking the win. Did they replace Fritz with Reich?

Nice fight, just the way I like it. Throw em, and throw em in bunches, with little regard to how your face is gonna look afterwords..

Im sure if it would of lasted a few more seconds, Rypien would of been kissing ice.

i'll say draw according to effective punches landed. i'll say Reich for aggression and more thrown. i wouldnt disagree with anyone saying RR looked a little winded near the end. maybe not quite in fighting shape yet? hope he stays hungery like last year and gets himself in tiptop condition. another angle to look at this fight from is punches blocked; Rypien obviously is a trained fighter and carries a fighting defense style with him to the ice that is more commonly seen in MMA arenas. Not to many hockey fighters use their hands to block punches like RR does and did in this fight near the end when he was tired. Most hockey fighters use reach, the "look away" , and "the hug" when it comes to defense.

Woohoo! Excellent tilt.

Hard to call, but i'd have to say Reich for the aggression. Not all of his punches landed (understatement of the year?), but the aggressor is always gonna look the better guy in a fight.

Rypien early, maybe Reich has better experience and was able to rally.

draw - Rypien with the early connects, then reich got position and and used his strength and size to maintain his position and keep Rypien on the defencive. But The damage by Rypien early was obvious
