Donald Brashear vs Chris Dingman

May 10, 2004 3pd 11:07

2003-2004 Postseason

Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
May 10, 2004 Philadelphia Flyers Donald Brashear
3pd 11:07 Tampa Bay Lightning Chris Dingman
Comments: Right off the faceoff Dingman drops the gloves, but Brashear skates away. Play continues and Brashear takes a few runs at some players so Dingman comes over and grabs Brashear and drops em again. They're in tight as Dingman throws five rights to the back of Brashear's head as Brashear just hangs on until he falls back. Other Penalties: Dingman received an instigator and misconduct; Patrick Sharp a roughing; Tim Taylor a slashing, double roughing and misconduct.

DingDong was a team guy, but he rarely won a fight.

I guess the Flyers wish they'd never gotten rid of Brash. Now they have 3 good middleweights, but with him they could truly be the Bullies again.

I remember this one. It brings tears to my eyes because the Flyers gave away Patrick Sharp for absolutely nothing and he's blossomed into a star. The Flyers would have Carter, Richards, Giroux and Sharp at center without Briere's expensive contract.
