Brashear isn't stupid. He isn't afraid either. He doesn't just hug - he is trying to get leverage to do the ol' tug n' pummel. Don't fault Brashear for trying to avoid taking unnecessary damage from a nobody - he has been at this for a lot of years and I challenge anyone to find five fights that he has lost decisively in his long career. Those that are bored of this fight should watch Brashear-Downey or Brashear-Ray to see what would have happened had this fight gone on a little longer.

decent fight
NARROW WIN Brash becaus eof the END

Brash has been known to struggle against tall right hand fighters. He was patient, positioned himself to start throwing lefts and then finished the fight with around 10 unanswered punches with the last one putting Bitz down. Look, you may not love this fight but you can't call it a draw as Donald threw and landed many more punches than the rookie.

Brashear with the grab and tug....pretty lame.

Gutsy move by Bitz, but if Brash is struggling with a first-timer, he's definitely not going to be able to match up with the heavyweights anymore. Had Thornton and his badass new goatee got a hold of him, he would've pounded him.

Nice to see Bitz trying to make a name for himself......He did pretty well against Brash; then again Brash always fights like he's hugging his mom; she probably taught him how to thrown down.

typical brash fight. pullem in close kiss em a couple times and wait for the other guy to fall over. i don't know how brash keeps his job as a top heavy cause it seems unless he has his own agenda or a sure thing he don't really open up.

Draw. Mostly "you hold my jersy, No I'll hold yours." A couple of normal back of the head shots after the dance by Brashear.

Dancing with the stars, hug fest, love story... crap fight. Huggy's back !

Brashear lands a flurry of punches at the end and gets the win..

Call it a draw...no combatant dominated the other...but I guess I wouldn't argue with a call of "edge to Brash".

KUDOS TO BITZ!!! WAY TO SHOW SOME BALLS!!! GOOD SHOW BOY-O !!!!!

Draw. If I had to give an edge it'd be to Brashear but only because Bitz was the one who went down; no solid punches landed either way.

And just because it's Bitz's first NHL fight doesn't mean he's clueless; he's fought a bunch in Providence.

anyone who rated this anything but a draw is a pathetic homer. Neither connected on any punches unless you want to count punches to the back of a helmet. Give credit to Bitz for attempting to free up and throw a punch or two but that's about it. All you donnie homers out there should be embarassed at that performance. Up until the very end, he looked as though he was hanging on for dear life.........against Byron Bitz??????

p.s.-looks as though mcb is teetering on the edge of insanity. Think it may have something to do with the fine showing of Chara/Thomas/Savard in the All Star weekend. Time to go hide in your little dark room mcb.......

Terrible fight, but who votes for Bitz? He didn't do anything but get in over his head and then hug.
