Downie took no thumping none of those punches landed real clean. it did re expose Downey as a coward tho. He was sizably smaller.

Downy did a good job of beating up Mair's fists with his face

spiderj: if all of Mair's shots hit on the helmet or shoulder pads, then why did Downie tell the linesmen that he was done. Most of the shots were clearly to the side of his head.

Total domination by Mair. Downie never got into it at all.

Also for the record, on NHL.com, sabres.nhl.com and Sportnet.ca, Mair is listed at 208 lbs. I was surprised to find that out and who knows how accurate it is, but he is listed at over 200 (though, I'm not sure 208 is "well over 200.")
