Downie is such a puss. Ruutu gets the win here.

They did it well.
A loong fight but not great.
Downie landed a good punches in the end but then runs away.
A draw.

How can any of you morons vote draw or in favor of Downie. Downie the girlscout brownie gave up, he ran away, that is called forfeit. At the end of a war, the side that stops fighting . . . uh loses! This site is really going down the crapper fast.

Draw in an entertaining pest bout.

As a Flyers fan, i'm not happy when fighter pulls away like Downie did.
He did pretty good for being the smaller guy right till the end when he bailed. I'm giving it a draw. It could have been a win for Downie if he finished.

God i hate downie more and more everytime i see this bag of shiite play. skated away cause the poor baby was a wittle tired! or was it he was getting his ass handed to him. I cannot wait until Colton Orr gets his revenge against this coward for going after Fedor Tyutin.

Downie controlled the beginning of the fight, Ruutu got a couple of shots in the middle of the fight, and then Downie landed a couple at the end. Edge to Downie. Laughed my ass off watching Downie just skate away before he fell over from exhaustion.

I went into this saying, "Okay, try to be fair to Downey". C'mon! If Flyer fans saw someone on another team just skate away from his opponent they would be screaming "PU$$Y"! Unbelievable. As far as the fight goes, I thought it was Ruutu right up until the end, but Downie got some late blows in so I said a draw. How some of you say it's a clear win Downie, well, what are you watching?

Downie was in over his head.. I guess when the guy's looking at you it's harder to cheap shot him. JR wins it 10-8.

Slight edge to Ruutu because he caught Downie with a solid right that stunned him pretty good midway through the fight, and then Ruutu landed a good left which had Downie on the defensive and tired. However, as the fight went on, Downie made a good comeback and did land two or three good shots at the end, but to just walk away from the fight like he did...YGBSM!! Downie needs to lose the visor...yesterday!!

How is it that Ruutu is leading by 20%??? Downie' s last three punches (especially to Ruutu's chin) were by far better than anything Ruutu threw/landed. As far as everyone here saying downie ran away from the fight, c'mon. That is an argument that makes absolutely no sense. Remember that we just watch hockey as opposed to them actually playing hockey. Anyone here calling Steve Downie a p*ssy should re-consider their comment.

Ruutu the voted winner, are you peolpe crazy he got a draw at best Downie landed the better punches. Downie never ran away they fought for a minute and a half give it a break the fight was over.

Downie totally chickened out! I can't believe that! He got tired and afraid he'd lose or get hurt so he ran away. Wow. I don't know if I've ever seen that. Doesn't exactly inspire your teammates! I've seen guys mutually end fights, but Ruutu was still wiling to slug it out, that must be why Downie skated away so quickly. I'd say that qualifies as a TKO with the odd twist that Downie called the fight himself.
