Easy win for Simon. Not close. Hoping for an Anaheim - Minnesota playoff round.

Off the draw, they are jawing and damn near shed'em before the puck drops. They get warned, and then as soon as the puck hits, the mitts follow.

Toe to toe, Simon with the left and Vandy with the rights. Vandy looks like he's got the upper hand early, Simon gets propped against the boards, and then lands a nasty left, that sends Vandy to the ice.

TKO win, Chris Simon.

Simon wins, but great fight by both men. Tough and never backing down, both earn top honors for that brawl.

Definite domination by Simon, whomever voted for Vandermeer is an idiot. I like the Flames just as much as I like the Wild (which makes it tough to have them in the same division), but you need to remain objective: Simon landed AT LEAST four straight shots to Vande's face, the last of which dropped his ass. Like him or not (and I was opposed to his aquisition), Simon owened this fight with a clear TKO. It's a lot easier to see on the live feed. WIN SIMON.

Clear and decisive for Simon.

Who's going to call up Oge Ogelthorpe to deal with Minnesota's Hanson Brothers?

vandermeer has a hard head. simon railed him good. good to see the chief back in action, he's been catching hell past couple of seasons. really a decent guy, just has zero tolerance for punks and hacks. so he deals with them a bit more harshly than he should

Simon wins. Landed more and harder. I think Vandy wasn't expecting Simon to be that tough after all the BS he's been involved in.

i think no domination by Simon who puts Vandermeer down clearly.
Vandermeer was doing a good job here(landing 2-3 good punches) but took many of Simon's shots.
SOLID fight.
TKO win for Simon.

Good fight. Vandermeer is always a gamer even though he's not as big as some of the guys he scraps with, but it looks as though Simon was just too powerful for him.

The best part about this fight may have been the fact that the both of them just completely ignored the ref. Or maybe the ref was just reminding them to wait until the puck is dropped. Either way, the whole sequence looks funny.

Win Simon, but Vandermeer is as tough, pound-for-pound, as any fighter in the league. He is a top-ten heavyweight as far as I'm concerned, way better than punching bags like Cote, Fedoruk, Peters, McGrattan (Vandermeer destroyed him in the AHL; look on YouTube), and a match for guys like Goddard (Vandy fought him in the AHL), Orr, Belak. He deserves more credit, but he also has to be a bit meaner a bit more often.
