Comments: A huge hit on Zyuzin by Williams brings these two together and they square off for a while before grabbing one another's sleeves. After a few missed shots, Vandermeer connects with a right, followed by two bombs from Brad Brown. Brown starts to ragdoll him and the linesmen come in, but they back off as Vandermeer rights himself. After catching their breath, Vandermeer tries a few rabbit rights. Brown works to get his right out of his sleeve and lands some rights. At this point they are too tired to even hang on and start throwing slow, looping rights at one another. Vandermeer twists Brown down to end a marathon bout. Other Penalties: Justin Williams received an elbowing.

This one starts after Jason Williams unloads on Andrei Zyuzin and Brad Brown thinks it was Jimmy V that hit him... They square off as usual - Brownie with the right handed cocked up next to his ear with his elbow back and Vandy in the typical left low, right hand back stance. Vandy is the first to dive in and get the jersey - with Brown throwing 3 straight rights, the first connecting and the last 2 landing short. Vandy with a quick change of hands to the left and lands a decent left on Brownies jaw - who responds with a right that misses the mark. Brownie then lets go with 3 more rights, the first two missing and the last one really landing well. Brownie throws a right and Vandy returns it with 2 of his own, neither of which land. Brown gets a good snap down in, and brings Vandy to his knees. Then Brownie lands a beautiful right uppercut as Vandy is bent over with a right hook to follow. The linesmen think of seperating'em and back out. They both have the other locked up really well right now, Brownie sneaks another nice right in there, that lands to Vandy's jaw. They continue to grapple and then Vandy finds the extra gear, landing 3 rights to the head until Brown responds with a right of his own that lands softly. Brown is able to slip the right arm out of the sweater and let go with a 3 weak rights - all of which miss over the back of Vandy's ducking head. Vandy responds with 3 lefts of his own, all of which get caught up in the shoulder area. They exchange rights again, with Vandy's landing better. Vandy then lets go with 3 more rights, the first two to the back of the head and the final one landing into the face. Brown finally responds with a right thats off the mark and Vandy returns that with 3 more lefts, the first landing, the second missing and the final one landing. Brown responds with 3 rights, all missing the mark and he is pretty much spent at this time - giving Brown his back after missing wildly allows Vandy to get in a couple lefts to the back of the head as he swing's Brown to the ice.

Awesome, loooooooooooooong fight between these two. Never seen Vandy tire out in a fight, and this one didnt disappoint. He was throwing nice punches, with something on'em late into the 12th round.

Solid Draw - Brown early, Vandy late.
