Cote lines up a clean, hard hit on Sykora. Malone stands up for he teammate and never even throws a punch. Cote wins it. Wasn't even close.

Cote and Richards are the only bright spot son this Flyers team right now.

John Steven must go!

PATHETIC COTE

Great hit. I wish the cry babies would stop already. He didnt take a run at a star player. If it was their worst player or their best, he does the same thing. Malone has no business sticking up for his teamate. If you are going to stick up for someone at least make a attempt. Win Cote. I like how Cote's fights always have the most reviews and the best ratings.

Got the snot pounded out of him? Cote landed two punches, so let's not go overboard.

Typical Flyer antics. They start getting their @$$es handed to them so they try to blindside the better players like Sykora. Bad show by Malone but atleast he stuck up for his teammate. I would love to see Cote try that with Laraque in the lineup. He knew no one else on the Pens could take him, that my friends is cowardice.
And before you Philthadelphians get your panties in a twist, don't worry I was fair and gave Cote the win in my vote.

Malone should be careful who he messes with.
Domination win for Cote.

Where's the big hair, the disco music and why is every player wearing a helmet? Oh wait that's right the 70's have been over for about 30 years now. Grow up Philly, its time to move on. The goon tactics (Richards in the 3rd period included) are old and obviously don't work (see scoreboard Pens 7 Philth 1) I don't know why this was a fight I didn't see Malone throw a punch and I'm not sure he had his gloves off before Cote started wailing on him. Laraque may seek this punk out at the end of the year.

Malone ducks and eats a few fists.

Winner Cote

Malone turtled no question, but he wasn't the only one. Thoresen ran Latang after an icing whistle then he turtled too. Cote clean hit, clear win.

You HOMER's make me sick. This site isn't about who won the game or "I'm a Pens fan or hate the Flyers so I have to vote for Malone". Watch the fight, post win lose or draw and your opinion on the fight. Who cares who won the game. We're not here to debate that. Good, clean hit by Cote that he would have given regardless of who was in the line-up. Mega-props to Malone for going after a much tougher guy to defend his team mate. Win, easily Cote. It's about the fight itself boys, not who your favorite team or player is.

are you penguins fans retarded? give credit where its due. cote lands a clean hit, then gets jumped by malone so he fights back. what is the problem? cote has fought BGL before, lost, and will fight him again. how is he "pathetic"? cote has proven he will take on anyone who will fight him.

did you guys read BGL's comments on the main page? even he sticks up for riley cote:

I took the opportunity to ask what he thought of Cote taking on Malone in a game that he couldn’t take part in. Big Georges said “He was just doing his job, he didn’t do anything bad. He finished his check, then got jumped, so [he] fought back. Nothing bad to say about that.”
