Mar 27, 2007 Pittsburgh Penguins Georges Laraque
2pd 15:52 Washington Capitals Donald Brashear
Comments: Laraque and Brashear find each other and drop the gloves shortly before Ryan Whitney scores to put the Penguins up 4-2. They square off just inside of the blueline. Brashear leans in and connects with a quick right that knocks Laraque's helmet off just before they grab onto each other. Laraque throws two quick lefts of his own and then tries to wrestle Brashear to the ice. Laraque throws another left and they fall to the ice. The linesmen are right there to grab them and break things up.

Great performance by Laraque, how can anybody vote this for Brashear, this voting too often is here just for names.

They should be embarrassed. That was a pathetic attempt by both not to actually fight. Yawn. Ottawa's goalie (whose name escapes me) has more courage than either of those two. They might be tough, but they aren't Probert or Domi or many other tough guys who tried to win every time. These guys just tried not to lose. Lame.

With those 2 names beside each other, I was really hoping for something spectacular here... but the only thing spectacular about it was the huge disappointment it turned out to be! Maybe I was unrealistic in thinking it might be a long 1 and a half minute scrap with about 75 punches, 9 bear hugs and Lacrotch, I mean Laraque using his usual tripping techniqhe to takedown his opponent. Of course they are playing on ice but I don't like this tripping the other guy just to end the fight cause your too tired.

...NHL needs more fighters like David Koci from Chicago Blackhawks. He is not afraid to take a punch, his fights last long time, and most importantly - he actually punches w/ both hands. I hate this new coward "one-hand" punching. Afraid to take a punch Peters, Boodgard, Jannsen, Godard and other to you similar?? !!! don't fight if you are too afraid to get your nose bloodied!!!

One would expect a better showing from these two. It looks as though Brashear throws the only punch.

This was more of a dance with a little wrestling from Laraque.

Terrible fight without a winner. I say they both lost.

How can they say Brashear is one of the toughest in the leauge? He obviously ducked and hid as in all his fights where he's not hugging. Oh unless he fighting someone of Kariyas stature.

That was very disappointing. How can they fall down like that.

Brashear was lucky he did'nt get killed.
Big George is so freaking strong, too bad he did'nt get to unload on Brashear and make him spit chiklets!!! LMFAO

Typical Brashear... Scared to go toe-to-toe with anyone, especially Big George, so he holds on for dear life, after taking a left hand...

Easy victory for Laraque! Brashear is crap...

I miss Paul Stewart. He would have given them 2 each for roughing or delay of game. Snoozer Draw.
