| Right off of the faceoff Brashear and Peters exchange words with Peters throwing one of his gloves aside. Brashear pauses for a moment and then drop his gloves as well. They square off in front of the Sabres' net and grab ahold of each other. Brashear starts things off with a flurry of four lefts. Peters loses his balance and falls to the ice, but is quick to get back up to his feet. Peters comes back with two rights, but loses his balance once again and goes down to his knees, bringing Brashear down with him. They get back up and Brashear throws three lefts at the back of Peters' head. Peters returns fire with three rights while Brashear is able to mix in two lefts in between the shots. Brashear pulls Peters down to the ice and then throws five lefts to the back of Peters' head when he gets back up. Peters throws a left and Brashear answers with a flurry of seven straight lefts of his own. Peters throws another left and Brashear then connects with one final left that knocks Peters to the ice. Brashear falls on top of Peters and the linesmen are right there to grab them and break things up. Other Penalties: Peters received an unsportsmanlike conduct. | ||

Brash reluctantly went but when he did he cleanly won this fight which was a bit sloppy and boring and the blame for that doesn't land on huggy but on Peters who looked like it was his first day on skates?
