Here's my beef with OV. He's a good hitter (except in this case when he took a blatant cheap shot at a guy who's 170 pounds), but he hits and runs to the bench. I've seen him do this quite a few times in his short career. Gaustad caught him before he could skate off.

If you're going to be a hitter, then you'll have to drop the gloves once in a while. Don't run and hide.

that was i think more of a BRAWL than a fight. it started with thaT cheap shot by ovie and gaustad retaliated and a scrap begins.

Ovi is a great player he isn't designed 4 fighting . Other than that Ovi is a great player.

Alexander the Great my ASS! The NHL needs to take Ovechkin and Avery put them on a boat in the Atlantic and sink it... halfway! Its amazing, all of the **** ovie does and he has only been in one fight according to this site. Ovie the Princess! If I was still playing, I would do some head hunting on his dumb ass!

Ovechkin should put on a skirt! What a cheap shot. He became a turtle when he saw Gaustad coming toward him. Great goal scorer but a real wuss.Bad person and they were on the same team on the All-Star game!
I don't like Ovechkin!!

everyone talks about ovechkin being the mvp, but he definitely threw a cheap shot at briere. he deserved to be punched in the face absolutely. he also deserved briere's poke check in the crotch later on. watching that still makes me smile.
