Exorcising obvious overall Capital frustration
for his team's recent ''Slide-asauras Rex''...
Ovechkin throws a strange,
but semi-legit-looking hip check,
and then practices preemptive retaliation.

Dubi got Ovie in this one. Ovie was showing his frustration with the Caps poor performance of late and in this particular game. Ovie is lucky he didn't take on Prust. Near the end of the game Ovie took a slapshot on the inside part of his right leg and he limped back to the bench. The Garden crowd was cheering loudly at his injury.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the hip check...
Agreeing with 'Behn Wilon' that this is mostly due to Capital frustration,
Caps should be ashamed that Ove had to take matters into his own hand.
Where's King ?
Props to both fighters...Ove for leading as a 'C'.
Can't fault Dubi, as he was jumped...

(On a lighter note, to what we saw...I really think Crosby can take Ove any day ! )

How many times have you seen an enforcer put a hit on a guy and then skate to a guy that fights or wait for a guy that fights to come to him? That is exactly what the little O does (the big O will always be Oprah Winfrey). I like it. Little O seems to be a red ass to some degree.

great job by ovechkin, obviously didn't win the fight, but did what captains do. it was a beautiful hit, you can almost feel your wind leaving seeing that, it was a hell of a collision. in 99 out of a 100 different hockey players, everyone would be hollerin' about the captain leading his squad, gaining respect, etc etc, but since its cool to hate ovechkin, he gets no such acknowledgment. are we fight fans here, or hockey fans?

Win for Dubinsky, it was surprising to see Ovechkin go looking for a fight after the hit. The hit looked to be alright, but then he goes looking for a fight, like he's trying to paint a target on his back. Well, he found a fight, and he lost.

What the hell is wrong with Ovechkin and Semin. They throw the weakest punches I've ever seen. They shouldn't be fighting. If they actually landed a punch the other guy would laugh at them.
Hey Whoabot, watch the video again you blind dip****, particularly Ovechkin's lefts. If you think those are PUNCH punches then you are a bigger ***** than Ovechkin. Those would probably knock your bitch ass out.

Dubinsky with the NARROW WIN for landing best shots.
Ovy with cheap eartly-punch.

Nothing wrong with the hit, fight was a draw.

Nice hipcheck, don't see many of those these days.

Dubinsky clearly won the fight; I'm surprised Ovie doesn't throw them better, he does everything else well. Clearly some frustration there with his team struggling. Good job guys...not too exciting but all done by the book.

Dubinsky isn't even ready for the Ovie won Konobi train and he still takes him down to the approval of the MSG faithful, Ovie got his own later in the game when he took a puck to the groin... ha
