Good effort by both guys. Dubinsky gets credit for the big finish, but Richards evened the score by ripping nasty shots from the start.

Draw , good bout

Posted by JABUSHFSU on October 12, 2008 at 11:53 AM

richards landed alot more punches, alot of hard ones at the start of the fight. budinsky was throwing and missing until that last punch-which still might have been a phaneom punch. good fight.draw!!

Posted by MAFLYERSRK on July 06, 2009 at 07:34 PM

Draw.

Posted by curtisinpa on October 12, 2008 at 07:45 AM

Draw. No KO/KD, Richards lost his balance.

Posted by tim13 on October 13, 2008 at 12:16 PM

Very spirited bout where both guys were clearly up for it. However, I have Tivo and watched it in slo-mo, and the only punches that actually landed were Richards' first and his uppercut that hit Dubinsky in the chest. As for the end of the fight, Richards actually grazed with his punch while Dubinsky completely missed. Solid draw, with neither landing any solid shots or doing any damage.

Posted by staceyb on October 12, 2008 at 05:59 AM

Richards had the upper hand throughout but then Dubo got in a solid wallop at the end that floored Richards. But Richards got his team back in the game with the fight, which was what he was trying to do. Dubinsky fought much better than in his rookie season.

Good fight by two youngsters... Hope to see more from Dubinsky this season.

Posted by BSTnougat on November 24, 2008 at 03:55 PM

Love tossing the bucket before they start. great rematch from last year. Dubinsky did a lot better. Maybe im biased but i thought they both landed some good ones. Draw

Posted by Flyers20Fan on March 09, 2011 at 05:11 PM

I see a DRAW, i saw more, better and harder punches landed by richards than dubie half assed flails that didnt connect much except the last one

Posted by ETR on October 12, 2008 at 11:02 AM

As much as I like the improvement Dubinsky has made in the fighting dept this year, I have to call it a draw, Richards landed the best blows early and Dubinsky late. Good tilt by two players who are also very good skill players.

Posted by Juha82 on October 12, 2008 at 07:36 AM

sometimes i give maybe too high funpoint, as i give 8 for this dscrap. A DRAW. It's very even one to me. no KD/TKO at the end. In fact Dupinsky misses his last punch.

Posted by pjfoster13 on October 15, 2008 at 04:55 AM

I appreciate Richards' game more and more as time goes by. One of those guys you just love to hate. I respect that he and his opponent always lose the visors and helmets. Wish he played on my team......

Posted by chl37 on October 13, 2008 at 07:46 AM

close but a win for duby.

Posted by CherriesJ on October 14, 2008 at 09:29 PM

aww im proud of dubie...he's growing up! i think with more time and some good advice from players who aren't colton orr, brandon dubinsky just may go on to do great things. hes definately a better technical player than fighter though... he gets props for a constant willingness to go with some much bigger dudes.

Posted by KD315 on October 12, 2008 at 08:11 AM

dubi gets the slight edge.

Posted by lakingsfan19 on October 12, 2008 at 11:25 AM

win dub, that last shot fu(ked richards up

Posted by capsfloors on October 13, 2008 at 06:30 PM

Richards early, Dubinsky late with the big shot at the end...it def hit Richards get some glasses homers!

Posted by mAnYsTyLeS on October 14, 2008 at 04:34 PM

Richards in the beginning and then Dubinsky at the end. Win goes to Dubinsky because he's a Ranger and tagged that p*ssy Flyer at the end with a nice shot. Rangers own you.

Posted by Humper on October 12, 2008 at 05:27 PM

Dubinsky takes it with that last exchange - up until then it was a draw.

Posted by mr. putzoo on October 12, 2008 at 06:32 PM

From the Broad St. Bullies to the Broad St. Bitches. What a embarassment.

Posted by Blazephr on October 12, 2008 at 05:58 PM

Richards had Dubinsky early-on with a few punches that connected. Gotta give Dubinsky props for hanging in there and ending the fight with a wallop of a punch. anyone read this quote about the fight? "Dubinsky understood why Richards wanted to fight and, at first, smartly tried to stay away from it. But Richards calmly explained it to Dubinsky. "I've got to fight you," he said. At that point, Dubinsky could not skate away from the confrontation. Even though Dubinsky more than held his own in trading punches with Richards, that fight and the insertion of goalie Antero Niittymaki for the struggling Martin Biron, turned the game around."

Posted by cppalermo on March 16, 2009 at 03:57 PM

yea Dubinsky!! big right....haha nobody likes richards anyway so over rated.

Posted by [email protected] on October 30, 2008 at 10:25 PM

They went shot for shot but in the end Dubinsky "tagged" Richards, and ended the fight. Edge Dubinsky.

Posted by JETTA KNIGHT on October 12, 2008 at 10:09 PM

not bad.

Posted by chris_mcallister on October 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM

Win Dubinsky. Richards had the better until the very end when Dubinsky lands 1 grazing and then a solid blow to send Richards to the ice.

Posted by xcal1887 on October 15, 2008 at 01:27 PM

Lots of throwin' early without much accuracy - - wildness typical of non-professionals. Dubbie nails him at end with a haymaker and ref jumps in. TKO

Posted by bugeatsdirtx on November 05, 2008 at 11:44 PM

Dubinsky hangs in there and then gets the win, looking a lot better than he did in his fights last year. Hes growing!

Posted by dmk139 on October 12, 2008 at 07:14 PM

Nice to see Dubi drop the gloves and actually cause some damage

Posted by speedk0re on October 12, 2008 at 08:10 PM

Close fight, thought Richards had the edge until Dubinsky knocked him on his ass. Definite improvement from last year! Oh, and LMAO at "cotefan92" or whatever calling people rangers homers... POT...KETTLE...BLACK

Posted by Blackhawk23 on October 12, 2008 at 12:45 PM

nice scrap. I give the edge to Dubi, who has come a long way as a fighter. Richards is a great play and I loved watching him when he was with the Kitchener Rangers, the guy can do it all

Posted by CancuckMatt on October 13, 2008 at 03:06 AM

Dubi really nailed him their at the end. Gotta give him the nod on what was fairly tilted in favor of Richards for the majority of the fight.

Posted by dedevil on October 12, 2008 at 09:02 AM

Richards started well but Dubinsky came back and got the TKO.

Posted by ice birds on October 28, 2008 at 10:03 PM

Richards had the better fight, but Dubinsky endured it and came up with the late winner. Good energetic fight from both players.

Posted by rangersfan10 on April 10, 2010 at 09:14 AM

good fight but i give the w to dubi

Posted by aj99ny on October 12, 2008 at 10:42 PM

Dubie's best fight. Good fight by both. Nice to see him continue to throw punches even after Ricards tagged him a couple of times

Posted by Plateworker on October 12, 2008 at 12:54 PM

Dubie comes on strong at the end and takes it

Posted by warhero on October 12, 2008 at 10:21 AM

Dubinsky looked like he was going to turtle after being tagged in the beginning but fought it off and came back for the win. The punch definately landed at the end by Dubinsky

Posted by dunno on October 12, 2008 at 04:57 AM

richards had upper hand early in the fight, but dubinsky took over at the end. slight edge goes to dubinsky

Posted by Joe Mack on October 18, 2008 at 03:43 AM

so im browsing the site and i see that dubinsky won a fight... i just had to see for myself. as a pens fan living in ny i have to admit that ive been secretly waiting for dubi to make his mark. he's been willing for a while and now it looks like he might be able as well...

Posted by kmeyers68 on October 12, 2008 at 02:27 AM

It's good to see young guys like this fight. They both had some good punches but I give the edge to Dubinsky with the hard right and the take down

Posted by klowman11 on March 10, 2009 at 07:17 PM

vicious right there at the end..

Posted by silent_shadow36 on January 21, 2010 at 02:30 PM

i love watching mike richards fail. good win dubinsky

Posted by ColtonORRules on October 12, 2008 at 10:45 AM

Dubinsky did real good Richards aswell dubinsky just landed a few more punches and then got the takedown. Dubinsky has really improved since his last scrap with richards

Posted by BigJtheCanuck on October 18, 2008 at 11:26 AM

Dubinsky has added to his physical game. good to see!

Posted by McAusland55 on October 21, 2008 at 01:34 AM

Give me a break. All these Ranger homers can't see the writing on the wall. Dumbinsky didn't hit crap until the last swing and even then he barely grazed him. Richards started it off with a square shot to the melon and then continued with a smattering of punches and by the time Dumb-Dumb found the end of hist fist Richards was already on his way down.

Posted by hockey doc on October 12, 2008 at 07:56 AM

Richards landed more, gets the win.

Posted by Spanky_Jazz on October 12, 2008 at 03:28 AM

I love to see two guys that aren't really known for fighting go at it and do more than just hang on to each other's sweaters. I also really liked the fact that both players dropped their helmets. That's classy. That said, Dubinsky held his own pretty well, but the punches that Richards landed looked nasty. Richo gets the narrow win.

Posted by umaksgx on October 12, 2008 at 01:19 PM

Dubi missed all punches

Posted by smwarpig63 on October 16, 2008 at 02:34 PM

Richards wins. This is how you fight if you wear a visor. You both take them off and stop acting like vagines

Posted by flyers32cote on October 12, 2008 at 03:16 AM

very close but richards won it early

Posted by xrichardsx18 on October 13, 2008 at 04:17 PM

if you guys open your eyes and tally about how many times the guy hits the other one and vise versa, you can clearly see richards one by 3-2, its not really who falls to the ground first cuz richards lost his balance and Juha is right he missed the last one punch that mike fell . OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE ( im not just saying this cuz im an avid flyers/ richards fan i just hate when people think that one guy fell the other one wins.)

Posted by Rebel Banker on October 12, 2008 at 03:40 PM

NO KD... richards threw a haymaker at the end and loss his balance...richards landed the better shots throughout the fight...dubi looks better prepared to fight then he did last season though.

Posted by cotefan92 on October 12, 2008 at 09:33 AM

I see we have some rangers homers

Posted by eadamson on October 12, 2008 at 02:31 PM

I think this one is a Draw. If anyone won, it was Dubinsky, but Richards held his own and got some solid shots in. pretty good fight.

Posted by cribbs18 on February 18, 2010 at 08:33 PM

Richards won the start, dubinsky finished. It's a draw

Posted by kocurfan26 on October 19, 2008 at 06:38 AM

It is clear that Professor Orr's student has been doing his homework.

Posted by chad420 on October 12, 2008 at 04:46 PM

nice fight by 2 nonheavies...mc early...dubie late w overhand landing in the end

Posted by thepolishkid88 on October 12, 2008 at 10:50 AM

Nice to see 2 young guns drop the gloves. Looked like Richards was doing well early on but Dubinsky had his number late. Slight edge to Dubinsky

Posted by BigBadBruins68 on July 03, 2009 at 06:17 PM

Very good tilt, Richards seemed to have the edge landing cleaner shots, but Dubinsky landed some good rights and the last shot, which definitely landed, but I'm not sure he dropped him. I'll give it to Dubie for controlling the fight.

Posted by Raoul Duke 708 on November 13, 2009 at 02:49 PM

Good Anchorage boy. Dubinsky whooped him. Thats how we teach em up here in the AK! Oh yeah, this was nice payback for Feb 9, 2008

Posted by TBLightningGuru on October 12, 2008 at 09:18 PM

Richards got in a couple early then turtled. All Dubinsky the rest of the way. win to Dubinsky in a good bout

Posted by imissbarnaby36 on October 12, 2008 at 01:59 PM

duber gets the close win
